Jerry Hughes finally activated
Bobby Hooks replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Speaking of emerging stars, I can’t remember hearing anything about Star. Has he been practicing? -
Gotcha. Just another quick point too, I know how fashionable it’s become to bash Rodgers lately, but if Kumerow really does make this team, it really does lend credibility to Rodgers’ complaints. If he can make it on this team, that is incredibly stacked at that position. So much so that they may leave two valued draft picks available for the taking I don’t see how people can look past that. The mvp of the league said this guy has the goods, he’s the 2nd best receiver on the team and they let him walk? If that doesn’t scream mismanagement what does? Fans on this message board get riled up over super fringe fliers getting waived, I couldn’t imagine if that situation played out on the Bills.

Agreed. At least, I know that was my original concern is that either would get poached. But Kumerow has made it so that I’m willing to take that chance. The only thing giving me mild hesitation is that I was hoping Stevenson could step in and be that dynamic kick returner. Not sure how much he’s shown in that regard at camp.

I think many of the people that wanted trade him, just had a feeling he was going to be the odd guy out and they’d prefer to get something for him than releasing him for nothing. I don’t think it had anything to do with his play or that they didn’t want him. All indications from camp are that he’s doing really well and looking like a favorite for the 6th spot.

This offense is going to make a lot Defenses look silly. It’s not like it’s completely out of left field, they did it last year too. All this is telling me about the team is that we have a truly elite offense and a middling defense. Which shouldn’t be too shocking to anyone following the team. The good thing is we have a lot of younger guys on that d line that should get better with time. Not to mention Star’s been off for a year, and Efe’s new.

But most importantly sporting a new bleach blond look! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nfl.com/_amp/training-camp-buzz-2021-july-29 I know it wasn’t looking good for Ertz to come to Buffalo, and sure apparently he seems unhappy. But going to Eagles camp and working with the team just has the feel that this trade likely isn’t happening. I’d be happy to be proven wrong, but this kinda feels like the death knell of the Ertz to Buffalo situation. And yes, I do understand there are plenty of Ertz threads already, and yes, I fully expect some negative posts in regards to this thread. To be honest, I miss talking about the guy.

When you were growing up did you think your mom and dad’s brothers and sisters were all named “Aunt”’ and “Uncle?”
-
I think we’re keeping Obada and Zimmer. Also, I think if Steveson proves himself as a decent kick returner they may find a way to keep him. Tough year for cusp guys, we’re definitely going to lose some good talent. Trade Kumerow to Green Bay, possibly?

The Marv switch was brand new and not dirty or off-color! The stories of that basements cleanliness level were greatly exaggerated. But sadly no, we were very anxious to move back to NY and somehow missed it. Some Ravens fan in a Baltimore suburb has a light switch cover with an old dude in a Bills jacket in their basement. P.s. I’m glad to hear you’ve kept my Astoria photo after all these years.

Have you already purchased the jersey? I know you’re really big into jerseys. I remember seeing a picture of you in the stadium with your arms outstretched really taking in the scene and enjoying your time there. This must have been before you started working out though as I remember your arms didn’t have much muscle tone to speak of. I know this is before you worked out because of another picture you posted of you in a button down shirt with your barrel chest and ample chest hair exposed. Do you still have access to those photos in your snapfish account? I wouldn’t mind seeing them again.

Eesch, seems a little late, IMO. The amount they could have gotten back has dramatically lowered. I wonder if they’ve heard some bad news that’s driving their choice now. Would be very difficult to get a team to commit to moving serious assets for him now with the cases still pending. Especially if it’s true their asking price is three first round picks.

ESPN Future Power Ranking Released Today 7/19
Bobby Hooks replied to vtnatefootball11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wouldn’t mind seeing what they had to say about the Bills if someone would be so kind. What do you think Nate Football, care to share? -
Yeah, he did some things. But his legacy to his family took precedence over his legacy to Bills fans. At the end of the day his family is set for life, and we have a team in Buffalo. Did we have to suffer through some lean years? Sure, but he felt he had to take care of his family first. Taking your personal feelings out of it, you should at least be able to respect that choice. Football is still a game and Ralph owned a piece of it. I don’t begrudge him trying to maximize his gains while he could no matter how much it sucked at the time. I haven’t really looked back much but when I do I look at Ralph favorably.

Are the Bills are a "regional" team?
Bobby Hooks replied to Zerovoltz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Originally from Buffalo, moved to Baltimore for 12 years. There was a decent population of Bills fans there. There were many Bills bar options that were jam packed come game day. Moved to Rochester (more specifically Victor) about four years ago. At first I was hard pressed to find Bills fans. At least where I worked. Though you can go to any bar on Sunday and it will be predominantly Bills fans. Funny thing is when I first started my job, there were no Bills fans to be found. Now every meeting ends with “go Bills!”, etc. Funny how I couldn’t find any til recently, but I guess that goes for many fan bases. -
Those wings are excellent. I get that some folks (ranch people) have an issue with the initial sting, but once you get past that the flavor is otherworldly. I like to make sure I don’t have much going on afterwards though. They can come back to haunt you, but I feel like that’s the case with lots of bar food.

All he said was if you want the adult experience go to hammers lot. If she’s looking for a rowdier table type experience to go somewhere else. It’s his opinion and it seems spot on. It’s certainly not a reason to call people morons and doofuses. Do you talk like this to people in real life or is it exclusively and anonymous internet thing?

Buffalo's Four Major Sports - Mount Rushmore
Bobby Hooks replied to bighorn_zilla's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean, I guess you can start your own thread minus baseball. But the creator of the thread added baseball so it’s 100% relevant to the discussion. Because, you know, the OP made it relevant. -
