I lived in Baltimore for 12 years. After this happened I went to a bar with a friend and saw a girl wearing a Rice jersey. My buddy asked the girl why she’d wear that and she had no clue what he was talking about. Not sure what the point of the story is, but there were a lot of bandwagon fans in Ravens country. At work, they were allowed to wear jerseys on Friday. When I asked who they were playing, I’d rarely get the information I was requesting. I’d say there will be a healthy amount of people cheering his name on gameday and not even know about his past.

Being a Bills fan aside, I think it’s what you do on the field. I don’t think Hamlin deserves it, especially since when he was on the field he literally cost us a win. Nothing against the guy, his story is a great one, but if last year didn’t happen, I don’t even think he’s on the team this year. This should go to Flacco or Baker. This is coming from someone who couldn’t care any less about any trophies outside of the Lombardi, and I guess mvp and heisman are pretty cool.

What Bills Christmas presents did you get?
Bobby Hooks replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I got a black corduroy Bills hat which I will never wear. I’d add a pic but they’re always too large and I don’t want to figure out how to add it. Edit: oh yeah, and Mafia sauce vodka from a white elephant. -
Yeah, but, if we have to face the Ravens in the playoffs it will be the same situation. All of the people will be saying the same things except we’ll be in the Dolphins shoes. Will you agree with the analysts, etc. when they say that about us?

He’s just a bad look fan. Every team has them. The kind that makes their fanbase look like a bunch of tools. The Bills have had A LOT of those the last few years talking about winning the Super Bowl in every social media post, etc. Most reasonable fans know the wheels can fall off at any moment and are cautiously optimistic. The problem is you have to actually talk to this person instead of just ignore their posts, etc. so he’s got you all riled up.

Why is it so hard for fans to admit reality?
Bobby Hooks replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do you typically start discussions telling people they can’t admit reality? If so, you probably don’t get much repeat business. -
Why is it so hard for fans to admit reality?
Bobby Hooks replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
There were a lot of things in play against us yesterday. I’m actually encouraged they battled back. After those turnovers, I believe a lot of teams would’ve pack it up. Maybe I’m crazy. -
Is this an axe you’re grinding with one specific member? I don’t recall seeing many Miami sucks posts.

Why is it so hard for fans to admit reality?

Who is this psa for exactly? Mind-boggling someone’s sitting at home on x-mas eve thinking “these message board guys are nuts! Do they even know we got lucky yesterday?!” Firstly, why do you care what others think? Secondly, why do you think they’ll care about this? -
No sir, I don’t like it.

Gotta wait for the playoffs, then playoff Gabe will come to play. With that said, where’s playoff Lenny?

Daquan Jones’ 21-day practice window has been opened, per McD
Bobby Hooks replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d like him to play and shake some rust off for miami. -
Is this a real thread? And is it really 13 pages?? Gotta start ignorin’ this stuff guys.

I just think the whole thing is silly. They make it a spectacle. I’m all for panning over to a celebrity fan once on a game. But they’re really going overboard with this. We’re watching for a football game, if I wanted to see Taylor every 12 minutes I’d be on YouTube.

I’m so over that. She gets wayyyy too much air time during the game.

Mahomes really dropped a few chapters in my book after last night. Allen never whined in his ear during a handshake. The games that Allen lost to Mahomes were much higher stakes, and the one was an all-time classic. He took it like a champ and shook the guys hand like a pro.

You say this like it’s a bad thing. On a day when they completely took our #1 receiver out we were able to get it done and utilize more weapons. This to me is a positive as Diggs is still great, but now we know if he gets swallowed up Josh can trust Cook in big time moments.

When Mahomes was talking to Allen he said something about “Offside.”

12/10/23 Week #14 GAMEDAY Bills at Chiefs Pregame Thread
Bobby Hooks replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even if this is true, why are we supposed to care? It was like how the Patriots used to see us as the lil’ brothers for a decade. What did that get us? Slapped around twice a year. Other teams fans can have their opinions. Doesn’t bother me one iota. Look how fast the Bengals fans went from being brothers and friends to wanting to stomp us into the ground and taking great pleasure in it when they did. None of this matters. For whom? And why should we care? -
Leonard Floyd is what Von Miller was supposed to be
Bobby Hooks replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can’t disagree with this. But he’s been great, and with Von going down we needed him more than we could’ve dreamed at the time. -
Daboll having tension with a coach in NY too
Bobby Hooks replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree that there’s most likely friction on every team. But so much that there’s articles being written about it? People were hyping Daboll’s offensive prowess and giving him full credit for Allen’s turnaround. I think he was eating up his hype with a spoon in Buffalo. Not to say that Mcdermott doesn’t have an ego, I believe he’s a head case as well. But well known animosity with other high ranking coaches on his last two teams? Where there’s smoke… -
Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas
Bobby Hooks replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he did get offered the gig and take it, he’d just tell us over and over again via interviews and social media that he would’ve taken less to work with the Cowboys.
