  1. This thread was kind of put to bed yesterday when Beane said on Rome that he does expect Williams to play mlb eventually. Feel free to continue discussing but this thought was mostly brought on because originally it sounded to me that they envisioned him playing olb. Sounds like that’s just where they want him to start to learn the system and bring him along slowly. I’m personally hoping he wins the gig in training camp and never relinquishes the spot.
  2. Woah, you’re the first one that said anything about the “hear me out!” You should take that act on the road, how many episodes of Seinfeld did you have to watch to get so funny?
  3. I mean, there’s been eight pages of conversation, but sure just stop In and respond to the title. Not annoying at all.
  4. Hmm… I’m not opposed to this. If we brought him in we would’ve obviously gotten Josh’s approval. He wouldn’t say yes to a guy that would get him creamed. It’s wild to say but considering our depth (weird), on the line, he could even sit for a while and get himself to 100%
  5. That actually makes a lot of sense. A rookie already feels tons of pressure. A third round pick doesn’t need the added pressure of feeling like they’re the instant replacement for a five year starter at a very important position on a team with Super Bowl aspirations. I agree it could have been done better, but it’s pretty tricky trying to walk the media tightrope of giving just enough.
  6. Oh nice! That actually makes me feel a lot better about the situation. I do wonder why they couldn’t have said that earlier. I mean, you draft a mlb and you have a need at mlb. Seems like it could’ve been pretty easy to say, you drafted him to be a mlb but plan to take it slowly.
  7. Oh no! Please don’t go, I’d hate for the thread to lose a wordsmith such as yourself. Do you always call fellow Bills fans names or is this a new thing you’re trying out? I feel like if this conversation was in person you wouldn’t feel so empowered to call anyone names.
  8. I don’t believe for a second they’d tell us that. Because it would leave him open to criticism if he didn’t have the job come September.
  9. As I’ve said, I respond in kind. That will not change. And I’ve already responded to him if you’d actually pay attention, It’s only his opinion that Milano couldnt bring that level of play to the mlb spot. I feel differently. He’s already the mouthpiece of the D, he’s excellent in coverage, and has great instincts. Im not going to battle over whose opinion is right or wrong, that’s obviously a losing battle for both sides. Have you noticed there’s an actual conversation happening here, or do you only read your own posts? Much like the Goonies of Astoria, this thread will NEVER die!
  10. On that, we 100% agree my friend.
  11. I feel like that’s the second time you’ve posted that now. Anything else to add, or did you just want to write it out again? And again, who’s to say he’d be less effective? What if, and this is a big what if, but what if he was MORE effective?!
  12. Well… to be fair, I dont really post as often as I’d like and I didn’t know it was an often posted thing. So that is my bad, I guess. But it does seem to be bringing in a decent amount of convo, so there’s seems to be some meat left on the bone.
  13. They’re trying their hardest to derail this puppy, it’s not happening Jay! If this puppy goes down, I’m going with it! FRIDAY!!! I hope that’s true, like I said earlier. I was reading up on him and watching highlights after the draft and kind’ve got excited. Then I heard the quote and got bummed, so hopefully it is a case of them not trying to pile too much on a rook.
  14. No, I’m responding in kind. If you’re being rude, I’m responding rudely. If you bring in a good attitude and want to discuss, I discuss. Multiple posters have brought good insight to the table. You don’t like the thread, that’s totally fine. My life will still continue on as always. My question is, if this happens will you admit you’re not good at being a fan?
  15. We’ve had three pages of conversation. You really think I care at all if you want to hear me out? I’ll answer that for you… nope.
  16. Still on the hear me out thing, huh? You’re right, it must take a huge brain to come up with the same exact thing as 10 other people in this thread alone. You’re a real trailblazer. I’ll start threads like yours, oh wait, do you start threads or just comment snappy retorts and react to everything like an emoji crazed 5th grader?
  17. That’s fair, but also, and I don’t mean this as a shot at you, kinda boring. What kind of threads would we have here if all we posted on were exactly what the coach and GM have said? Just seems like it would be a board of Chris Brown fluff. Personally, I can’t wait for your thread titled 2+2 = 4 ; here are the things we know for sure. Josh Allen is QB, we have a Justin Shorter, etc. Where’s the intrigue? If we just posted the team quotes provided by every news outlet, without a little creativity, would we even need the message board?
  18. You’ve already made that abundantly clear in your well thought out “nope” post. Now move along, adults are talking. Isn’t there a cool new Comedy Central cartoon for you to watch?
  19. Beane tells us loads of things. I’m still allowed to look at the team, and form opinions. Im not really choosing to ignore him per se. Just looking at things for myself and seeing if I completely agree. Not that it’ll matter if I don’t, but I think it’s fair to pose the question. Especially as Shaw so eloquently put it, when the team leaves an obvious hole, I’m going to imagine what could fit there. Whether or not you want to join me is completely up to you. I know that this is like a cool thing to do, since so many people have already done it. But all it really tells me is I’m glad you’re not joining the conversation. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but it just feels to me that you wouldn’t add much if any substance if you did. Please, by all means, stop reading there and move along.
  20. Thanks for adding to the discussion. Your opinion comes with the thought that Milano would be a downgrade to the mlb position. My opinion, mind you this is just an opinion, Is that Milano could play really well in that spot. He’s already the mouthpiece for the D, he’s excellent in coverage, and has nasty instincts. Obviously, if it didn’t work out, fine. He can go back to being an all-pro olb. But if it did, that could only help this team. It’s a Friday discussion, you can choose to contribute, or just point out the usage of “hear me out” as countless others have already done. You can see that they really contributed to the convo as well.
  21. I mean, there is a thing called the salary cap. I feel like even if they did trade or sign a guy the board would disapprove of the selection because he’s not the biggest name in the NFL.
  22. Good points, idk, I guess I’m alone in thinking Milano could do really well in that spot.
  23. I think I’m more in the acceptance or hope. Accepted we have what we have, and hope there’s a plan I don’t quite see yet.
  24. When I started looking into him after we drafted him, it felt like a good fit to me. Then the comment was made and I was kinda bummed. I hope you’re right. But who’s to say he wouldn’t flourish in the mlb spot? If I’m Milano, I’d like to give it a shot. He’s got the goods, and who wouldn’t want to be an all-pro in both spots?
