  1. Yes, indeed. For everything you wrote. Except that some "fans" have a very low threshold of what is "terrible". Anyway, can't wait for the game! Do I think the Ravens have a better chance at the W? Sure. But I dislike that gloom'n'doom talk that the Bills have no chance. Ha! Hope they prove the doubters and main media wrong!
  2. Of course they haven't proven themselves, at all. But just imagine this board if the Bills offense had performed like Atlanta... (Eagles didn't play that much better but as they won suddenly all is forgotten). The point, more than relax, is perspective. Again if NP throws many picks, no time to relax, put Allen in there. Otherwise, very few offense gel their very first game! Basically a new QB, new OC, etc. going against a damn good defense. We can 't judge by ONE game. Hell after the first Rex Ryan/Tyrod Taylor game against the Colts, featuring all the new toys that couldn't even play during preseason, we would have expected the Bills to be one of the premier juggernauts. It goes both ways, but yeah, I maintain, relax, unless Nate throws many picks again. Besides putting Allen in, what can the Bills do that could be drastic to change things up? Am I confident with the cards in the deck right now? Heck no. But they are what they are. And the Bills players deserve some patience, with so many new pieces. And are you all playing dense? Of course I'm not comparing NP to Ryan and Foles, nor myself to Rodgers BTW ha ha. Just that even the greats perform badly at times so a little leeway can go a long way. 3-4-5 bad games in a row, now get crazy and foam at the mouth. Nate throws 4 picks, yeah, get nervous - in THAT aspect he has no long leach. Otherwise. give'em some room dammit. I for one don't expect to be firing on all cylinders from the very beginning of the season with what is basically a rookie QB and a new OC. To say nothing of that offensive line...
  3. I'll take a page out of Aaron Rodgers' playbook (he did just sign a $135M extension so why not) I just hope most fans have a tad more patience than what I read a lot in here. R-E-L-A-X a bit guys. Peterman is not established, only a 2nd year guy with only quarters of game time experience, and yeah yeah, he threw 5 picks in one half. But did you see the opening game? The SUPERBOWL CHAMPS with their Superbowl MVP Backup QB had gained ONE yard 5 minutes into the 2nd quarter. And Matt Ryan... wow was he bad on that very last drive or what. It was a 4th down and he basically threw it away in the end zone. He had another shot because of a penalty but still, WTH kind of brain cramp was that? Didn't the 1st half finish 6-3? With two offense powerhouses. Sure both D are also good too, no doubt, but still, both have a reputation for offense. Point is: offenses don't score on every drive, and most offensive plays are NOT successful. Many teams have 3 and outs or short drives. The Bills have a new OC, Peterman is raw, Ravens D is good. The only legit gripe we can have for Peterman is if he throws many picks right away. Otherwise... RELAX and have some perspective.
  4. Allen drew that? When? Hopefully when he was 8 ha ha. Just kidding, it's cool whenever he did it, and good idea to use it, even if it does look like a bloated fish
  5. I just hope most fans have a tad more patience that what I read in here. Did you see the first half last night? The SUPERBOWL CHAMPS with their Superbowl MVP Backup QB had gained ONE yard 5 minutes into the 2nd quarter. It was 6-3 when I stopped watching and the half was almost over. With two offense powerhouses. (Sure their D is good too, no doubt, but still, both have a reputation for offense) Point is: offenses don't score on every drive, and most plays are NOT successful. The only legit gripe we can have for Peterman is if he throws many picks right away. Otherwise... RELAX and have some perspective. Reading on here you'd think only the Bills have made bad trades, bad drafts, bad play calling, all ex-Bills become superstars elsewhere, etc. Newsflash: none of the 32 teams are perfect! You think even Bellichick doesn't get criticized in the papers? Recall a few years back after their shaky 1-2 start where they did look bad when the Boston media implied that maybe Brady was getting too old and Grumpy Bill couldn't pass his message anymore. Ridiculous.
  6. If you think all the coaching, videos, deciphering defenses, running the scout team, etc. don't help, well, sorry. But OF COURSE he'd learn 5x as fast actually playing.
  7. It's clear they don't mind him holding out, going for money... till they realized he wouldn't even start the season. Players want to win.
  8. Nice. Quite an improvement! He didn't have many near picks in the preseason,. Maybe one plus the 4th down throw it up mistake. That was unexpected and a big plus
  9. Why did people hate this pick? I just don't get it. I wanted Mayfield but since he was selected first, well, tough luck. It's not like I had deep knowledge of all these QBs anyway, and suspect few of the ranters do. It was well known Allen was classified in all the possible range from the very first pick to early 2nd rounder in the "experts'" opinion, so why be mad at the choice? A lot of "experts" suggested he'd be among the top 4 QBs taken, and he was. I liked his demeanor then and since. I'm glad he's here and sure hope he is the face of the franchise for years to come. Till then, go Nate and GO BILLS
  10. He's made some nice blocks in the red zone, but nothing that make you go WOW. Well I do recall a blitzing player being totally destroyed running into DiMarco's shoulder when he was in the process of blocking someone else!
  11. Yes but that's what we're saying. We can't blame the Bills for RI going on a total mental breakdown, 99% of players wont react that way, but we certainly can doubt the reasoning behind offering a paycut to one of THE best and most useful player on the team. Too late now, and RI has some important issues to take care of, but that paycut wasn't the best football move IMO, that's for damn sure.
  12. I've been to the stadium once a year for 7 years straight but it's been a while so I'll be looking for tips and all. My son just called me today to say his school will have as an outing the Bills-Jaguars game! One day before his BDay too! He'll have the details in two days. I sure hope I can join in. It's a 9 hour drive from where we are so we were really (but very pleasantly) surprised with the news.
  13. He is clearly mentally unstable and has issues. Most likely, they were already apparent to the Bills Brass. So no saying he is immaculate and Saint Richie here! But from a business standpoint, unless he was indeed showing signs of being a nutcase, I still can't understand the logic of asking him, of all the Bills players, for a paycut! He was the tag team partner of Shady in the successful Bills run game. A Pro Bowler last year. He was money, football wise, period. Of course Incognito first accepted the deal then went into a psycho spiral that had not ended yet, but still, why the paycut?
  14. So much optimism here LOL Damn, guys. And you know what? Most offensive plays fail. 3 or 4 tries to make 10 yards, and it fails quite often. So give Peterman some slack unless he throws picks.
  15. With Murphy and Ivory, and of course, SHADY, no need for him on this team right now.
  16. I've said this before and will say it again: the difference between 10-6 and 6-10 is just a few plays, ref calls, coaches clutch play selection, and, a big one, injuries. Bills were unlucky to never go in the playoffs in that 17 drought, and seemed quite lucky last year to end it. So 5-11, 9-7... all probable. Keep up some FIGHTING SPIRIT and let them play dammit LOL As all the players and certainly the Bills brass, we fans want the team to win NOW. Yet with Allen, less dead cap money + lots of picks + cap space in the coming years, things are looking bright... especially if Josh becomes that elite QB all teams need.
  17. Of course higher draft picks have higher odds to be better! But then, once the draft is done, it's done. Time to evaluate what's in front of you by how they play. And as for superstar players, I didn't write QBs but players. But even so, Brady, Warmer, Romo: that's quite a trio right there! Warner was trowing cans in a grocery, out of football... hard to overtake that storyline. It beats a 5 INT first half. That being said, I support Nate and all but yes still thinks Allen is the future here. And hopefully an elite franchise QB type of future! I would have been way more excited and on the edge to watch Josh start but will still support the team, QB and coaches to the fullest.
  18. It's like people forget about Brady and all the superstars that were late drafts or simply undrafted or taken after busts, and all the numerous high pick busts. As if the draft was a magical process. Don't get me wrong: I still can't wait for Allen to be in there! If he doesn't start this year, it means Nate is having one hell of a season and that'll be a great "problem" to have. Otherwise, yeah, I do expect to see Josh sooner than later. And he'd excite me more as a fan, way more. But I'll trust the coaches, and support a guy that has refused to crumble after an horrendous first outing.
  19. Dead cap space is horrendous but mostly on the past regime. Hopefully it quickly corrects itself by the next year or 2020 Difference between 10-6 and 5-11 is a few plays, injuries, etc. So both are within the realm of very probable. Sobering fact: only 4 teams out of 12 repeated making the playoffs last year... That's also why Allen pumped us as he brings HOPE. A good QB makes everyone Billeive and play better. But let's not burn the young guy for a 17 years of drought that hapened before him even if he wears #17
  20. They still need 3. Final opinion on this trade depends on who they sign and for how much - most likely one that was just cut Edit: of course the FINAL final opinion depends on the pick ha ha. But for this year, IMO you can't go with just 2 rookies
  21. Yes indeed. Besides the 0-16 teams, all teams have beat another, including the bottom feeders. There is always a chance on any given Sunday. I hate the thought process of giving up a game as a loss before it even happened! How many times I've seen people on here count the two games against NE as losses. Sure the odds are greater of that happening than a win, but no one should give up without a fight! That's why they play the game. 0-4 is probable this year yes, but 2-2 or 3-1 or even (gulp) 4-0 is possible! Likely? Nope. But come on.
  22. Our OL sucks. No getting around that. But we saw very little sweeps, no rolling out of the pocket that I recall, less runs and a lot more passes that we can expect, no max protection plays with only one or 2 receiver going deep, etc. It was preseason and they wanted to evaluate players, not schemes. So it was the right way to do it. Let's just hope that NOW Daboll and McD will use plays adapted to the talent they have. And yes, some max protection plays with Josh's cannon arm can make one dream...
  23. Ha ha indeed. It's the way he will play that will make people like or boo him. Few people seem to give the Bills any chance to win this season so in that sense Allen could learn with less stress (other that getting killed by a porous OLine...) I repeat that whatever decision McD takes I support. It doesn't mean he has a free pass for how he handles it after, but seriously, who can say for sure who should be the starting QB for game 1? Pros and cons abound. If he does chose McCarron, THEN he will have more justification to do though!
  24. I agree that while Nate does NOT have a stong arm, his near picks have been because he was late. Anyway, take that pass away from him please LOL As otherwise, he's been money. I wanted Josh in there right away. I didn't change my mind because of game 3. Just because if Nate falters and Josh comes in it's good. If Allen falters, then what? If Nate performs superbly well, then it's a great problem to have! So I'd now side with start NP but with a short leash. But I'll support the decision whatever it may be, as there is no clear cut right one! People will blame McD if they lose (and pretend they knew better) but let him do it as he wants it.
  25. I am a Bills fan first. I was siding with Flutie big time as I really did think he brought them the best chances to win, had the "it" factor in spades, leadership, sensed the pressure super well, scrambled for 1st downs, etc. Johnson was a physical prototype for QB without delevering the goods except from time to time. But his "glimpses of greatness" didn't erase all his "deer in the headlight" moments... and can't compare to the glimpses we've seen from Allen! Josh seems more poised in and out of the field, have more leadership ability, and well, way more physical ability too. It remains to be seen in real games with more complex defensive schemes how he reacts, reads, adjusts, etc. but so fat so good. I'm excited with Allen, that he might be a "franchise QB". I never got that from Johnson. And then we had the FLUTIE CURSE that it took 17 years to get rid of, with #17 arriving now to take over:)
