  1. So.... are the Bills "fans" that have been going on how Allen is a bust will finally let it go? We all know they won't eat crow or admit to being wrong, but will they leave this alone this 2019 or still pollute this board all offseason? I've been a fan since the start so am biased the other way, but he has proved so much already. My "fear" is that he goes to top off at a Bradford-Cousins-Dalton level, you know, pretty damn good but not among the top guys. But to say he was to be a bust was just delusional, trolling or plain negativity. Hopefully that's over. Criticism is one thing. Just saying he sucks and could never be good quite another.
  2. The season is so intense it does feel long, or long enough. But then reality sets in, and it's 9 whole months without the Bills (and Allen). So I do feel down about it, but I'll be more so later. Let's just say the signings during the offseason better be VERY GOOD. And the OLine and WRs given max attention. I was very lenient this year, as many fans, but won't be in 2019!
  3. Bradford, Cousins, seem a mistake to me. Still not as much a mistake as Dareus and Star... Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Luck... you pay them for sure. Most important position in football
  4. The offense was not that bad... except for the receivers, run blocking... OK they were bad but as mentioned in this thread, not that far behind - especially when we imagine just a few added good players next year. The run "defense" was the major killer besides the receivers. Since when has the Patriots been a successful run heavy team?
  5. He is weird in that he's been impressive in bunches and real bad in others. He has some tools like great speed and "sideline to sideline" ability, which is great for a MLB. and he's been calling plays in his rookie season. But yeah, he's also been blown off blocks too often, off target, easily confused. Some of that COULD be fixed through experience though. Don't forget that he could be a "victim" of the December rookie slump. These rookies go from a 10-11 game season to 16. Hopefully for us, it's that as he was bad yesterday.
  6. Even the second pick, while it WAS a bad pass, you'd expect most NFL caliber receivers to come back to the ball, and at least TRY to prevent the INT. Much like 50/50 ball, no guarantees but what about an actual attempt? There was the perfect long pass in the sun, all kinds of drops, it just goes on and on. They really are bad. Really bad. And the OLine can't run block to save their lives, though the pass blocking has become average, which is an improvement. And as much as overall I think the personal (roster) choices have been decent by McD and Beane, Star is so overpaid. When the Bills Dline get pushed around like yesterday, where's the return for his fat contract? As bad a decision as Dareus. Patriots have beaten the Bills many different ways, but I don't recall them just ramming the ball down like that. We all thought the defense was good enough to focus 80% of next year FA and draft picks on the offensive side of the ball. But if they cant stop the run, and not the first time that's happened, then what? I've been vocal in my excitement that with the cap space, add a few good OLinemen and WRs through FA and the draft, and overnight the Bills could be an offensive powerhouse. But I supposed the D would provide some good numbers too. They were parts of the blowouts and certainly of yesterday's loss.
  7. What I've been saying for a long time now. Sure, Allen does make mistakes and yet again missed some of the small throws. But *****, can he get help from his receivers? Look at Brady. On his stat sheet, another fairly long TD pass but Elleman made it happen and did a great play... which you expect 8-15 times a year from your receiving group. Not twice a year with dozens of drops in between! And when he has time, he has been money most of the time. With all the cap money for free agents and the draft picks, the Bills could very well be competing the division title by next year by upping the talent at OLine, WR, TE. Add a punter too while you're at it. And yes continuity matters. Daboll should know Allen and his players much better. Allen some of his receivers (I hope there are many new ones though...) I admit, I suspect Bellichick of spying, of cheating. He seems to guess so much of the Bills - and other teams - offensive plays. Still, even if he does cheat, he ALSO designs great offensive & defensive plays, ruses, disguises, have the players be ready, disciplined, contain Allen well, etc. So much little details that the Bills staff ain't up to snuff. As with players, some coaches are simply better but as it involves study and preparation, they have less excuse. It's not like the other guy just runs faster than you.
  8. Of course. But this is the Cheats. And the very first time Allen faces them. Am I full brimming with confidence here? Of course not. But yes I want the Bills to beat them. Again, BB & co could be losing THREE games in a row. And there is a slight chance they're ousted from the playoffs. With Rex Ryan (remember him?) the Bills beat them in Foxboro 16-0. 16 - ZERO. In the 4th game of the year. Yet I've seen many people on here saying the game meant nothing to the Patriots as Brady wasn't there. It was the FOURTH game, not a meaningless one in December! And we Bills fans painfully know what it's like to have a decent team with no elite QB at the helm, so to me the win was legit as they come. And this time, we have Allen... and a not so decent team on offense and special teams. Still... FIGHT! PLAY TO WIN! CHIP AT THEIR ARROGANT EGOS AT THEIR PLACE! If not, well, I hope Josh plays well and learns a lot going against a BB defense desperate on using all tricks to get back on the W side. Barring injuries or some disaster, it's likely a win for the Bills when it comes to the future.
  9. I think you misunderstood his great post. He was, in fact, in the right spirit. Josh will blemish his perfect record against young QBs
  10. I hope the Bills dominated the next 10-15 years. Preferably, BB & Brady duo would still play at a high level for a few more years so the Bills beat them twice a year to get some revenge before Father Times takes care of that. But I'll settle for the first option. Anyway, back to the present. Aren't you guys hyped up for the first game featuring Allen vs Brady? The Cheats have lost twice in a row. The Bills could make it three. Hell the Dolphins could clinch the division and the Brady bunch miss out on the playoffs! Basically, the Bills could make quite the statement if they beat the Cheats at their place, and make an impact in the playoff picture for sure. Time to extract some well deserved revenge. I feel near zero emotions on this board. Wake up! A Bills victory at Foxboro makes a great Christmas present to us fans... and even to most NFL fans. I'm pumped.
  11. Well I hope Peterman can collect those nice NFL checks for a while. He is smart and personable enough to lead scout teams etc.
  12. What is kind of weird is that while there are so many holes, we can easily picture the offense getting better by next year. More experience for Allen and for Allen-Daboll together, Teller, Foster. Add 2 good OLinemen and 2 WRs through FA (lots of cap space next year) and draft picks, and the difference could be humongous. Defense should remain as good too. Special teams can't get much worse except for Haushka who has been money.
  13. Put like that, there is enough. Since as far as I know, when players are put on IR you can hire another one
  14. ha ha. My favorite so far
  15. That makes total sense so I wonder what is the rationale for having a 53 men roster but only 46 active
  16. I love the guy. I have since day 1 and he's been giving me nothing but positive vibes, and consistantly progressing as was the plan for this year. But since he is supposedly a trash talker, I expected a lot more from this video. And yeah, I too would have liked to hear what he told the ref who missed the obvious Offside! At the same time, it's my voyeur side and I'd much prefer the refs (and players) don't get material to give him the Jerry Hughes treatment.
  17. He is injured but still, for all the "Josh haters", have you seen the exciting Panthers-Saints game? The Panthers TD pass was by their RB on a trick play (great play BTW I jumped up). Does Allen look so much worse especially considering he is a raw rookie? Even Brees missed some open guys as he couldn't get in his usual rhythm going with the Panthers' D all over him. "Fans" wanting perfection out of the QB, especially a rookie, are so damn annoying.
  18. He is an argument to convince any speedy receiver FA to get on the Josh Allen Gravy Train. With some good Olinemen, Josh is gonna pad some stats!
  19. I too thinks he's got great instincts, covers very well, can support the run D.... but lacks ball skills. When he's beat he's usually VERY close to the WR or even all over him, yet he doesn't time his jump well at all. He has rarely been beat as in a blown coverage or someone just passing him by/juking him. It's his ball skills.
  20. They did OK in both run and pass block. OK was the average, in that they dominated some plays and got abused in others. A little strange. Still, we should rejoice at the glimpse of the future: on that TD pass, Josh had all day to throw, perfect pocket and line of sight. Add 2 good Olinemen through FA, a few WRs through draft picks, and the Bills O will be awesome to see!
  21. Nice! Very great to see. And overall, since McD has been the coach, the team spirit has been awesome. With the 3 blowout in a row last year, and the "out of the playoff race in October" this year, it's not a given or easy to do.
  22. It's crazy how it has barely happened only a couple of times ALL season.
  23. That the play selection is bad or they mess up is one thing, but people always bitching McD is too conservative than bitching now when he goes for it, come on!
  24. I liked the "dump off" pass to Ford. The first one I recall by Josh. I saw Rivers do it so much their last game. And we all know how Brady, etc. do it.
  25. I thin Josh played well except on long balls, which is weird That clock management was indeed really bad, but this year they've been OK. I feel Allen was better in preseason for 2 minute drills than Tyrod all his years here. The choice of plays was suspect at best this time. But let's not act as if they are the worst
