8.4% hey? Wasn't there a mention that the Cheats pay his foundation or something like that so he gets way more without it being official player salary? And yes, being elite gets you paid. And the headcase situations for teams are when your QB is damn good but maybe not that good... Hopefully Josh becomes a true elite QB and not Stafford-Cousins-Tannehill-Carr-Prescott level... As for Rodgers, he's been getting a lot of flak lately. He's been one of THE best QB for sure. His personality must be really be causing some issues.

I was kind of shocked too. He was constantly among the top 4 QBs mentioned that would go high by the "experts", so why piss on what was the Bills new player? I liked him (OK, loved him) from the time he came up on stage. His demeanor, attitude, coachability, competitiveness... what's not to like since? I expected him to be a INT machine in his 1st year compared to super conservative Tyrod Taylor, and most certainly not that he'd outran him in rush yards in a mere 11 games! 5-6 as a starter with the supportive cast he had? Sounds good to me. And as so often mentioned, he sure passes the "eye test", including in leadership and "it" factor. People have not mentioned it that much but I really liked the coaches let him threw a bomb in his very first NFL pre-season snap. It might have been incomplete and actually out of bound, he was still something to see. Because McD has been a defensive coach people suppose he is super conservative but I don't think he is (except for a few chicken punts), he's smart enough to go with works with the players he has.

I haven't spent nearly as much as time as you... but I love him LOL. A non-sexual man-crush. I almost never use the term "we" when speaking of the Bills, knowing full well I'm no part of the team. But I realize in my fantasy, primitive, fiercely protective man brain, that I'd go to battle to protect him. His youth gives this a weird father/mentor like flavor to my fantasy, but I see him as no kid, but as a man to lead the team to victory. Yeah, we should start a JAA (Josh Allen Anonymous) group... It's ridiculous ha ha. No doubt, football can ignite a part of our tribal brain and we can have a deep connection.

Is the Le'Veon Bell signing over-hyped?
Jerome007 replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly! He IS very good but the Steelers line was exceptional. He'll upgrade the Jets for sure but I'd be surprised he makes that much of an impact. It does seem the Jets have improved quite similarly as the Bills during offseason so overall they might be much better, and that will help Bell. But in a salary cap sport? I'm glad the Bills passed him up. And I'd still take Josh over Darnold any day. -
Nice to know I'm not the only one that noticed this. He did a lot of HARD blocking last year. I mean they won the SB but in regular season games when they were ahead, BB didn't care much. Sad to say, but I think HC have to disregard their players' health or they'd be filled with remorse every week. As for Gronk, yeah I hate the Pats but I don't hate the players. He was a fun dude, hard to do with BB as a coach! What he did to Tre was despicable but neither the Bills players nor the league did anything about it so I won't lose my energy over that.

Josh Allen, Sicko Mode !!!
Jerome007 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That video is a few weeks old and I had seen it. Very very good on mute indeed LOL Video creators can do what they want, but I'm sure they actually edit and post these to share with people. Well, it's pretty safe to say 95% of the viewers are Bills and NFL fans... like them. But far far from that % will be fans of this kind of music, it's not what make us bond or watch this, so they should avoid it IMO. But I have sometimes read by modifying the soundtrack it makes less likely for the video to be banned. But yeah, Football has a sound of its own I'd rather hear than this "music". -
I live in Quebec so hockey is of course #1. But back then, in 1995, hockey was BORING. Lots and lots of hooking. Combine that with the fact that for years 16 teams out of 21 made the playoffs, regular season games had become dull, since as soon as a team was behind 2 or 3 goals, players would just give up, as each game was meaningless and the hooking made it quite a drag to come from behind. So I was out of sports so to speak, and happened by chance to see some NFL games and the intensity and just loved it. Lots of Bills games on TV and I just loved the uniform, the energy, the CROWD, that in Buffalo too it was harsh weather. A great Bills-Dolphins game in Buffalo in week 15 sealed the deal for me. The crowd and team were so ecstatic! Then they met again in the playoffs and the Bills won. True love I suppose. I deserve some status from Buffalo natives as staying true for those 17 years of drought as an out-of-towner shows real loyalty ha ha. Even today I watch basically only playoff hockey (which is AMAZING), but also MMA and pro cycling along with the Bills and the NFL. Back then, it was the Bills. No holds barred fighting had just begun.

If Allen is real deal, bills make playoffs
Jerome007 replied to QBorBust2018's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. And what about all the time Brees, Ryan and Rivers haven't made the playoffs? Or Rodgers and Big Ben this year? Ridiculous opening statement post. Now I sure want Allen to lead the Bills to the playoffs THIS year and all the next ha ha, it goes without saying, and they can do it, but come on. -
Are you embarrassed to wear Bills gear?
Jerome007 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I live in Quebec so very few Bills fans and still have a Bills winter coat. I'm never "ashamed", nope, but it being a WINTER coat, I often wore it as the Bills are eliminated so not the best proposition... Edit: it's more the stigma with wearing sports gear in normal life - as opposed to at sporting events - that makes me reconsider wearing it so often. Not it being Bills gear, especially as these are exciting times! -
I agree with the white collar crime part, but come on, few if any care if Joe Schmo has got an handjob. You think it would make worldwide news? In that sense Kraft as gotten the shaft of social opinion ha ha MILLIONS know about it and his spotty clean image will never be the same. At first I saw ZERO to be outraged about, but yeah that place seems quite suspect. I don't care at all of transactions between consenting adults, it should be legal, but underage prostitution and human trafficking should be dealt with harshly.

Bills: NFL's Biggest Under-the-Radar F-A Winner 2019
Jerome007 replied to Seasons1992's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Crazy but true. BUT, they are doing their best to surround him with talent, and Josh has shown in year #1 that he has not only the physical tools but the MENTAL tools as well. And he obviously is a hard worker and coachable. Barring bad injuries, this team is poised for much better things next year, and Beane will have as much leeway with the 2020 cap! And he has been smart enough to not load the 2021+ years either. There are no guarantees, but damn it bodes well! -

Beane is getting national media love
Jerome007 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. I was one that had confidence from the get go, but he, like everybody else, has to delivered the goods. And his moves so far make total sense... even if it doesn't pan out. We can all see it's logical, good for the short term while not compromising the long term. Amazing though that all will fall into place if Allen is a franchise QB (and I sure think he is). Crazy when you think about it. But nice that Josh seems surrounded by a great staff and players. -
I agree. For some reason, in football, draft picks are seen as such valuable assets. For example, to me the Browns won in the trade. OBJ is a proven superstar and fits well with their current situation. A #17 pick and a 3 rd rounder the Giants got are crapshoots, and the chance to get a major superstar out of them next to zero. I mean, if one team has proven high 1st draft picks don't matter, it's the Browns ha ha. When you have top 5 picks, yes, sure, most of the time there are gold in there. The opposite example of the Browns to still illustrate the point: the damn Patriots. How have they fared these last 15 years with no high draft picks?... Somewhat more proven players like mentioned in the original post are more likely to succeed, and I certainly do NOT regret the Bills trading picks last year to get the #7 spot and grab Josh Allen!

G Jon Feliciano (Raiders) to the Bills
Jerome007 replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems to me, all OLinemen signed are more pass blockers than run blockers... Add the new receivers for speed and slot + TE... I sense a really pass happy Bills team this coming season! While I do like a good run game, this could be a really vertical, long pass happy team that's very entertaining. Is it built for November & December weather though? -
This trade just shows that unlike mass media and people's perceptions overall, things can change quick. Cleveland was the cesspool of the NFL for years until last year, and mid-year really. Now they are a legit powerhouse, will probably be favored to win their division at the very least. Well, same thing for the Bills. Things can change quick and the jokes that people made when AB almost got here will be a thing of the past.
-
You're so positive... Yes they can be as bad, but again, the ODDS are they will be better. I didn't realize there now were guarantees in pro sports... You play the odds with the cards you're dealt and can get, and that's what Beane is doing. All he can do, really.

WR John Brown (Ravens) to the Bills
Jerome007 replied to blacklabel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And people... don't forget Allen's running abilities! He can't spin around people but give him a straight field and he has shown amazing speed. 20+ yard runs are great and demoralizes defenses. It should open up Shady's runs too, which happens to also be a very good receiver IMO. I suspect the Bills will be a pass happy team first and foremost. Seriously, what a difference so far already. If they can pass protect, expect a LOT of long plays. It will be entertaining, whatever else happens! -
C Mitch Morse (Chiefs) to the Bills
Jerome007 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have good cap space for the next two years so these signing make total sense. The players are happy to sign here as they get loads of money right away. The team is happy as either they have great producers for little cap room in year 3-4, or they move on with little dead money. It makes total sense for the current situation. And yeah, there is that possibility you mention I sure hope doesn't happen though ha ha. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (RG) was injured most of last year and his replacement did a good for much cheaper. So *maybe* the Bills can attract him thanks to the Morse signing. But currently it would have to be a trade with the Chiefs -
The Strategy of Signing Frank Gore
Jerome007 replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I too was rolling eyes when I heard this signing but this whole thread and posts like this one makes me realize how much sense it makes. A one year deal too. For some reason, I thought he was over the hill. If he is still solid - yes I know he is not his dominant young self - and good locker room leader, good signing! I always pictured him more as a pure runner and good blocker but I might be wrong. Is he a good pass catcher? -
WR Cole Beasley (Dallas) to the Bills
Jerome007 replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I too like this signing but I too think we are overloaded at the #3 WR spots and slot receivers ha ha. But then he makes others less needed. Solid upgrades overall by Beane. Kind of silent deals that won't attract media attention but make significant impacts. -
Yes but the point is that they didn't pan out. Why? Hard to say. But odds are the new guys will be way better, just because the guys they replaced awfully underproduced. And with a better OLine, Allen with more experience and a FULL training camp at #1 with his receivers to develop timing... it doesn't take that much to improve (or regress). The thing that bothers me is that the Bills were fairly lucky as it comes to injuries last year, so no matter the planning, that's always a danger and depth always a factor. FA is far from over and the drat hasn't happened yet, but still we can say they have improved from last year. Enough? We'll see.

Ridiculous how pure assumptions are used for documentaries. What about the dozens of proven cases instead. **** these fake victims. Ok, she might a real one but everything smells so fishy here. And in any case, you don't do such stuff without knowing all the facts and just going by some troublemaker drama queen's words. Again, many PROVEN cases to go with.
