  1. Why not? When Milano is back. Williams has shown he can play. Spector too. There are not as good as Milano and Bernard, but for OCCASIONAL stop-the-run packages, why not? Milano covers the pass well too (for a LB).
  2. I get the Bills strategy. But they should work in "stop-the-run" personal groupings. Just like they sometimes use 6 OLinemen and vary receivers. Why? Because when they face a run heavy team like the Ravens, they NEED a different strategy. But strategies won't work without players knowing it inside and out.
  3. Both shocked me I barely have any voice left ha ha What a moment!
  4. Steve Young got battered mercilessly at the end of his career. With no concussion protocols. And he looks normal. Same for many boxers and MMA fighters. You just never know. I would not take that risk but I get it that it's hard to just let go like that
  5. That is so true. I survived the drought and all, and since I'm from Quebec, it was self inflicted misery by loyalty ha ha. Most of it was manageable. Not all of it, but most of it. But I fully realize that things are so fun with JA17, that there will most likely quite the void after he is gone. Let's enjoy!
  6. Everyone can have an off game, but was he playing injured? Concussion or back issues or something, likely coming from that failed trick play? Or was is he just off? The ones that follow the practices should know. If he has any signs of concussion, REST HIM. His career matters more than the next game!
  7. That's not even the argument you think it is. Josh missing a few plays at the end of a 1PM game doesn't cost the NFL any $$$$. Josh having his career cut short because of untreated concussions, that does cost the NFL - and the BILLS!!!! - money. You think the Dolphins have gotten great TV ratings of late? I sure hope the BILLS do what's right by Josh and really make sure he is OK to play. Yeah a GM and HC can be fired if they lose too much, but much of the Bills brass and certainly the owners want their star players performing as long as possible. Not win at any cost a regular season game. On that replay shown on this plage, it's like what those at the game saw: Josh is moving his feet from the pain from the get go. He is not out. Now, that doesn't mean he hasn't got a concussion but no I don't think he was out cold.
  8. I don't understand why not ALL teams are doing this. It seems to work with very little downside. No huddle offenses can counter this, but still, very little downside. Even if it works "only" 10% of the time to get a free rusher, that's an impressive improvement, at basically no cost. And you can still blitz, do any kind of scheme in the backfield and all that.
  9. In the video he mentions the Bills DID try to beat single high. They took some deep shots, and sideline ones. They just whiffed on most of them, but they tried. I know the WRs ain't scaring anyone, but it's always possible to get guys open going deep, and Josh sure has the arm strength! Kincaid could certainly be one to target as he is faster than most guys covering him. BTW they also tried with him...and failed. Pass catchers AND josh were off that Sunday. Weird... or Josh is injured from the Ravens game. Yet t hey only lost on the last play of the game.
  10. I hope they are testing him today, and did so yesterday. I mean, you don't risk a JA17 career for a few games! It makes no sense. Yes Josh is too tough for his own good, but people forget that if he was out 2-3-4 seconds, he doesn't recall any of it! For the person out, no time lapsed. It's not like he'd be lying. But we all know he's the type to hide his symptoms if he has any, and that's not good.
  11. The ONLY game he has looked "off" was yesterday. He was very inaccurate. How was he in practice during the week? He could have had an off game, that happens... or be injured from that brutal failed trick play. IF he has any symptoms of concussions, IF, rest him. You don't risk a JA17 career for a week 5 or 6 game. You just don't.
  12. Yes. But EVERY week there are some upsets. 49ers were the odds favorites to win the SB and are 2-3 right now. Fans act like only their teams have bad losses, bad luck, bad calls or injuries. Of course I'd hate if they lost to the Jets or KC ha ha. But R E L A X.
  13. BTW that hit in Houston was clean. A football play. But am I the only one that thinks that hit he took vs the Ravens was quite late?
  14. Let's not forget that if Josh was out, HE doesn't know. Let's say he was out for 3 seconds. Not saying he was out, but say he was out for 3 seconds. Well, to him he has no recollection of these 3 seconds at all. They never happened for him. Hence why you can't rely on the player, toughness or not.
  15. The run blocking has been pretty good! So, Brady should leverage this more. When you add some screens and PLAY ACTION, and Josh has always been good with play action, it takes that run game to an even higher level. For some reason, the pass blocking has been bad these last 2 games. Use the run to help the pass even more. You play to your strengths. Josh was off from the get go. How did practice go for him all week? He could have had an off game, that happens... or he could be injured. That hit he took in the failed trick play was brutal. And of course now he has that nasty hit yesterday as well. Rest him up till Friday.
  16. Trubinsky is a good runner. So naked bootleg is an option for sure with him. Use misdirection with WR in motion and let him either hand off to the guy in motion, up the gut to the RB or keep it and run the other way. He has way enough real game experience to read defenses and make THAT kind of play!
  17. Bishop was awful in the first half but decent in the 2nd. Just like when the ball hit Coleman in the head, rookies = growing pains. Carter, Williams and Bernard played great for sure. Only 9 receptions, Josh himself was soooo inaccurate, yet they lost on the very last play of the game. It IS a silver lining.
  18. Speaking of "fine", the run blocking still is going strong, and 42 & 43 were on fire for the defense. I was POed all game long... but they lost on a 59 yard field goal as time ran out. With Josh having one of his most inaccurate games ever. It's not THAT bad. It's just the passing game that is very worrisome.
  19. Hey, I sure thought he hit his head and had a concussion. But he not only cleared the protocol, he looked normal afterwards, playing or interviews.
  20. Let's be fair. NO Bills wideouts or tight ends have stats to rave about. It was REALLY impressive how the Bills could win 3 games, including 2 blowout wins, without any great pass stats. Any pass catcher having a great game would be something! And for some reason, TEs overall in the NFL have had very little catches so far.
  21. It seems most runs were on the outside. Anyway, so many players underperformed, that singling out a player feels wrong to me ha ha.
  22. This play was crazy. Really amazing stuff. That dude is insane, in the best possible way. A great adjustment they did in the 2nd half is using max protect a lot. Strangely, the added blockers were often not needed and started a short route. It might be something to use more. Josh deserved that for all "the running for his life" he had to do! After two games where he was barely touched. Such difference between games is kind of mind boggling.
  23. IDK why the need to single out Oliver. Who performed well on the DLine last night?
  24. I realize that even as an outsider (I'm not even in the US!) that has been a Bills fan for decades and suffered through the drought, Josh makes the game so much fun the void after he is gone will hit hard. Let's enjoy it now, for sure. Superbowl, baby. We need this while he's here! BTW, kudos to Josh's dad. He did mock interviews with him and all to prepare him. Think of all the time JA17 has been on the mic and never messed up! Quite impressive. As even if he does say tons of cliches and harmless answers, he adds color often, pays attention to questions, add inside jokes and all. The guy is great all around.
  25. I sure saw that. Dude is an athlete. As for Kincaid, in his 2 catches his SPEED was surprising. He easily outran the defender.
