I found this funny... and if accurate, just shows the blatant overaction in this whole thread. I too have the impression he has missed a lot of time, and he's my favorite Bills on defense with White. But if he has played 86% of games, just CHILL everybody. And LOL at saying the dude should retire. He'll make some serious cash with his next contract.

BIG arm in that pic ha ha

His run offense was awesome when he was here as well. So much variety. I'm actually surprised it isn't copied more!

I've said many times that it must be discouraging playing WR for the Ravens. But OL, TE? Must be fun. They had 265 yards of rushing yesterday! And it's typical they have more rushing than passing. They are the opposite of the Chiefs. They are set up so if they win, they bring the hammer and misery. If they are behind by a lot, they have little chance to come back. But so far, they deliver.

Justin Zimmer...most athletic DT in the past 15 years
Jerome007 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mentioned his upside as he is green at DT. You could put the world's best 300 pound athlete at the position, but if he has never played the position he'll suck bad. As for declining physically, don't be so sure. He's not that old, and his wear and tear is fairly low compared to peers of his age. Anyway, let's hope he does grow into an All Pro as a Bills ha ha -

I'm not saying at all he could a "Kyle Williams" type, but some athletes do peak older. And in his case, it seems he has the physical tools but likely not the whole toolbox of skills in the DT position, being fairly green at it. So yes, his upside is still huge - though he might plateau. Point is, we don't know but it is possible. -

He wanted to be LB then DE now DT? That's quite unusual! It was a LB type tackle he did. He's pushed around and ragdolled on some plays, and a disrupter on others. I mean it happens to everyone but he is more at the extremes of both. Weird. -
Bills 24, Pats* 21 Game Balls!!

Morse is one of the most mobile centers and does an amazing job downfield when the play has evolved for that. Obviously a great leader and communicator, and yep, very good at pass blocking. But pure strength and pushing up the pile, especially on obvious run plays... not his forte. Overall, still a damn good player. And with him AND Feliciano, it would be better. -
Damn, some of you guys are looking for anything. Edmunds has been disappointing but here he was double teamed and sometimes the other guys just happen to get better leverage and do a good play. Makes me appreciate Zimmer's 'winning hand of God' even more. What a great play!

Which Defensive player has disappointed you most?
Jerome007 replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I won't be original. Edmunds, Klein and Oliver. Normal to expect a lot more from #1 draft picks or a highly paid FA signee. -
Any idea what Sean was doing on the phone?

His wife was nagging him about picking groceries on the way back. He thus suddenly decided to prepare the Seahawk game right after this one. -
I really hope Mitch Morse retires.

With concussions you never know. He might fully OK 3 days from now... or 3 months from now. Depends not only in his own history,. but what kind of hit, what is affected, etc. It seems "rotational hits" often cause more severe ones. We'll see. Of course it ain't good news in any shape or form, but we can't compare to the past. In other eras - and not that far away - he would have just gone out a few plays "to shake the cobwebs off" and gone back in. That's where those old players who suffer probably aggravated their situations. We thankfully know a lot more now. -

Moss had a (at last) a great game. MVP of the day. Wait another such performance before anointing him #1. He really had it today and I sure hope it was an awakening, but let's face it, he was below Yeldon till this week, and motor has been steady good. Zimmer! Feliciano - forgetting him? What an impact he had! And he had to play center too Milano was reading everything... yet missed a lot of tackles. Seems like rust and little play time to get in the groove. I hope he's back to full health and as starter next week -
I can't know for sure of course, but IMO It's not because of how Bates played but that it was the center position. The coaches must have felt Feliciano was much better at calling plays for the line. And overall wow did #76 made his presence felt today. Welcome back! Klein blitzing was awful when blocked he was stiffened on the spot. Every blitzer can do something if unblocked...

The run D seemed decent in the first games. But even then we saw weaknesses IMO, but it seems to me opposing OC didn't target that weakness enough, thankfully. Henry wasn't in good form on that day. Like he did it half ass. Still, he was held to very little. But it's not just "hope" to say they performed quite well in the 2nd half of this last Jets game, they did! As many mentioned, stack the box and see if Newton can beat the D with his arm and cast of reeceivers.

Now it's done, I simply focus on the Bills winning and making the Pats fans wallow in misery and eat some humble pies for decades. But I too was pissed when Brady left. The Bills never got payback, never got revenge. And even then it would have been crumbs of revenges compared to the dishes of hurt Brady delivered, but still better than nothing! Now what's done is done. I really want the Bills to wallop completely the Cheats this Sunday, but with them being so behind the Bills in the standings right now, it's not that critical. Only in the sense that you never let up as it can come back to bite you good later!

I don't know if you're sarcastic or not, but yes ha ha. The trap is "good/very good but not great/elite" QBs. They're tough to fire or let go, but they are not good enough for the money of their non-rookie contracts. But what is more impactful than a great QB? Nothing. JJ watt and Darnold are beasts but 10 QBs at least are more important than them for the success of their team. It's just the way it is.

Can we give some love to Cole Beasley?
Jerome007 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude is a baller but I don't see him as improved. He's always been good, from the Cowboys days to all this time here. They can take away Diggs but not take away both Diggs and Brown. And Beasley will always have many one on one routes underneath. And he's one of the best at spotting weak spots in zone defenses. -
A Few Thoughts About the Jets Game, in no particular order
Jerome007 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Special mention and game ball to Bojorquez! He held the ball well for every field goal attempt 😝 Dude has been playing REALLY well the last games but it was nice for him to get an easy afternoon ha ha Knox (and BROWN!!!) stretch the field and wow does that make a difference, though I'm sure Beasly can' t complain. I was happy for Kroft. He had one hell of game for a guy that missed sleep like he did. Game ball! Awesome blocking too. And true about Singletarry's blocking as well, Josh can breathe easy when he knows Motor will pick up the loose guy. Now if he could run like in the first weeks... I was saying to my kids how Hughes finally had a good game and a minute later he got a sack and INT and turned it up to great. Game ball! Josh made all kind of good decisions with calling for protection, keeping the ball on all run plays except that last 3rd & 2. Hyde deserved that penalty but it was a good one! He turned a long gain (of about 30 yards?) to 15. Nasty hit. Ouch. -
Quinton Spain released; signs with Bengals PS
Jerome007 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Where were the short passes in the flat to Singletarry? If the holes aren't there in the middle... do something else. In fact, do it anyway. I admit though the last two games Singletarry has looked tentative, hesitant. But like all players, he needs to find a groove and when holes aren't there, it affects confidence.
