I too looooooooove snow games. Loved the last one with the Shady TD in OT. But indeed, Bills are made to pass so we can wait till another year
-
Amazing thread. Flutie jumping in Bruce's arms (couldn't find it searching) would be a good addition

He's always been this way, always, but I admit I found it funny to see the shy-rejected-kid baffled look on Goff looking for Tom while we knew Brady was heading out ha ha

Saints to start Taysom Hill over Jameis Winston
Jerome007 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has barely played as a pure NFL QB yet people expect him to be good right off the bat? I like to watch him play as he is entertaining. Is he starting QB caliber? No clue, but I too don't get all the vitriol sent his way. Sure the offense was simplified for him and all that, but it is for most young or backup QBs until they gain experience. How surprising... -
I'm still baffled how great the OL pass protect, but they can't push the pile with any consistency, and every 3rd & 1 has to be a creative play. But I don't mind if the RBs catch passes for sweeps that are not counted as run plays but we all know they are. I don't understand how so few coaches have copied Greg Roman's creative running plays. He was awesome at that with the Bills, and obviously still is with the Ravens. The run D is problematic too, for sure. It seems the blitzes have worked, and Klein has suddenly been turned on! He was a liability all year but the last 2 games he's been superb. Edit: I'll say this, Singletarry, Moss, even Yeldon, have all been awesome pass blockers. IDK if it's all them the coaches, or both, but it's been impressive.

We're going on week 12. The season is fine. MAYBE an extra week delay before the playoffs.

How many passes were caught against him today? He has had game when I thought the same, but this one wasn't one of them.

For those going after our defensive backs...
Jerome007 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That would be ideal but there was not exactly time to call who did what. Can THAT be effectively rehearsed in practice? Maybe. -
Proud of Josh, Diggs, Beasley and Brown
Jerome007 replied to billsfan4ever63's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm serious. I was really bewildered when they took that timeout. It was 2nd down too. Of course the chance it mattered was slim to none, but it's simply better when it's ... none. Anyway, it is what it is. I'm not one big on "moral victories" and this doesn't really feel like one. Just that we can sense this team is the real deal, exciting, clutch, and players come through. It was a great and lucky play by the Cardinals, not the Bills choking. -
Beasly was clutch. All that last drive but that one catch was just WWWOOOWWWW. I was sure it was sailing out. Josh is clutch too man. Beasly saved his ass and the team's with that catch, but other than that Hail Mary, Josh would have had his 12th winning drive since he started! That's what we want from our QB and he's got it

Most 50+ yard field goals in one half?
Jerome007 replied to slipkid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's weird. I had full confidence he would come through on all these longs kicks. Yet I only wanted to see him for the extra point at the end. Dude is an adventure. He's the Josh Allen kicker ha ha. Super strong leg, shaky accuracy (and it's a JOKE, I find Josh accurate atcually ha ha) -
Proud of Josh, Diggs, Beasley and Brown

Cardinals did a great last play. What bugged me was the time out called by the Bills just before their TD. Coaches have to be PARANOID. I had full confidence the Bills would score, but I didn't want the Cardinals to have any time left. Klein, Josh, BEASLEY, Diggs, BASS, they played a hell of game. Poyer and Hyde too, even if Poyer was on that last play. I love these guys and they can sure ride back with their heads up high. Not like they choked, it's just the other team that had an amazing score. -
Stats don't always tell the whole story. I still have a poster with Spielman, Bruce and Paup. Bryce had been named Defensive Player of the Year, yet we all know Bruce was the key, being double teamed almost every play. But good players help one another. And as mentioned for WRs, QBs, kickers... the winter windy Buffalo weather affects their stats a lot the last 2 months. So... who cares ha ha. Just win baby (you'll get paid all right) BRRUUUUUUUUCCEE

I pretty much have not followed the Cardinals at all, like zero, but watching a huge hits highlight video from last week, Murray was battered good at least 2 times. Big hits. Maybe that will reduce that part of his game. IDK if he's banged up or not.

Gary Gramling (si.com) Josh Allen Quote
Jerome007 replied to BillsIsrael's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Might be an exaggeration but still funny, and yes, it has mattered to me since day one that Josh brings entertainment. Even if Sam Darnold put similar numbers, you'd think we get as much thrills? -
Grumpy about our Press Corps
Jerome007 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly but... what are they supposed to say? For example, it might be Josh's hurt left shoulder that tuned down his play the last few games. Maybe, maybe not, but why would they tell the world? They shouldn't share secrets anyway. As fans, of course we'll like to know some inner details, we have this deluded fantasy of being part of the team ha ha. But if they told the media, they'd tell it to the whole league too. One thing I do like from many of the interviews, is you can sense the camaraderie, how tight the team is, that they think like winners, and they give tons of props to teammates. As in anything repetitive or mundane, we have to discard the 95% stuff to find the 5% of gems. Some guys like Hughes are ferociously loyal to teammates to a caricatural point that is fun to see. -
Is it because they have Josh to practice with? But seems to me, rushing QBs have been neutralized in that aspect of their game against the McD Bills. The biggest surprise to me last game is how Wilson never gained a first down with a run like he so often does. His running was a total non-factoe. Last year I expected both Josh and Lamar Jackson to showcase their running game when they met and it didn't happen. This year it's Kyler Murray leading the QBs in rushing yards. Will the Bills D stop him too?

The Slide (Stefon Diggs): smart move?
Jerome007 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It can be a weak b*tch move, but there were 4 guys coming down hard on him, unblocked. I didn't find anything odd TBH. -
Well they stop the damn race thing already! What happened that non-racist meant looking at the person's qualities and not the color of their skin? And what about players? We need more Whites, Asians, Latinos? So sick of this BS that without Josh I would have stopped watching the Bills/NFL this year, which is quite amazing, and many people have actually done so. As for playoffs, the 12 teams was so perfect. It makes the whole season totally relevant and important. At this time, is it still 12 or 14 teams that make it? While I get switching to 16 teams this year if the schedule becomes all messed up, you just know they will use this as a step to make it permanent.

Challenge Specialist for McDermott
Jerome007 replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills were on offense so can control how fast they snap it after. Basically, they can wait for the TV replay unless the TV crew screws up or time is an issue. To say it's not that important as it's 1st and goal... it removed 4 points. Anyway, what a play by Davies! We saw some amazing athleticism today. Some by Josh and co, and some jaw dropping passes by Wilson and Metcalf is the real deal. I kept hearing about him but didn't expect his size! He's almost built like a TE. White was battered and beat like he never has been in his career... and then made the pick to avenge himself in style. -
Klein was the surprise of the day ha ha. I could just picture some you guys badmouthing him and Edmunds anytime you can and then seeing them both perform like that 😝 Oh, I have been very disappointed with them, and voiced it in a few posts myself, but some of you pile it on and on. Bass felt "safe" on the shorter kicks. I didn't have that "every kick of his is an adventure" feelings ha ha. And I'm glad they tried the 61 yards just for... kicks. He has one strong leg! Just not precise like we'd like but he's getting there, which is reassuring. Best coached game of the year! From gameplan to execution. Just the missed challenge opportunity. Pay me and I'll watch the game and communicate when needed
-
It wasn't his first time... but maybe it was his first doing so all the way from beginning to end, on both sides of the ball. And I'm glad he did. I expected a super high score, he-who-scores-last-wins affair, and we got even better than that since the D came through. Crazy how the run offense was a total non-factor yet they could crush the Seahawks anyway! I don't recall the Bills blitzing so much and it was fun! Seahawks got way more sacks yet I feel the Bills D put way more pressure and that overall Josh was protected well.

I find this all a big masquerade, as per DaggersEOD's post in this thread. But... if the coaches have to wear a damn mask outside or as Daboll, alone in the booth (!), do they have to have one in the locker room? And Billicheat was not wearing his a lot of the time, especially in the 3rd quarter. Anyway... ridiculous signaling but I'm curious as to what the NFL rules are. It's confusing!
