Jordan Poyer Interview - OTAs June 2, 2021
Jerome007 replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL should be asked questions then for making up these standards, not players. No one should be forced to inject anything, and it is a personal decision that should be private, and this is a run around away of somewhat forcing this issue. And if the Bills do reach the NFL imposed limit, then stop bugging players that chose otherwise. As for the interview, Poyer didn't want to delve into why Bills had such high attendance, but you could tell it probably was a heated debate among players. Good that once a decision was made player wise, most chose to follow their teammates. And for those who think it's the same with injecting a vaccine, get a life and some perspective. -
Indeed. You have to find the "lesser evil" as you just know players will take something.

NFL Will End “Race Norming” in Concussion Settlements
Jerome007 replied to K-9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes but if systemic racism was that bad, the subject wouldn't even come up, and there certainly would not be a revision. It sounds more like accounting cheapskates and saving money than true racism. It does look bad though, for sure. But again, it was studied, made public, taken care of. Injustices and unfairness happen all the time. Money and power are usually the root issues. Not "systemic racism".- 34 replies

I still think by looking at many of Josh's best plays in 2020 that most routes were definitely by design, certainly including Diggs'. But it does happen many times in games all goes out the window and you wing it. But even that has some set patterns, otherwise all receivers could end clustered. You can't throw a pass before the WR has created separation or is not set yet without knowing what he'll do! That would be INTs most of the time.

Bills announce season tickets are sold out
Jerome007 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah. At first I couldn't believe the Bills selected that clown to be HC. And then, he instantly won me over with his brash antics and no excuse bravado. In hockey, successive coaches have to be opposite characters almost. So I thought after all the boring bland HC, that Rex would be the perfect counterpoint, to finally jolt the Bills in dropping the loser mindset that had plagued the team the last years. Too bad he was so bad at preparation and actual coaching ha ha. -
Jim McMahon : Belichick a lying POS.

One of the stories where ALL parties involved look worst ha ha -
Let's stop pretending the NFL and CFL are on the same level, maybe? Talent, MONEY, audience, number of teams, etc. Like it or not, NFL is THE league. So yeah, CFL is mostly different to have their "Canadian identity". NFL barely pay attention to them. I didn't say it was like that in the past, I'm talking NOW I wonder what are the CANADIAN audiences for the CFL compared to the NFL. Besides in Alberta maybe, and even there, I'd bet NFL draws more ratings. A XFL league with US-Canada-Mexico teams, in spring time, that could really be good.

I'm from Québec. The very first time I went to a Bills game, it was for an opener, I arrived on a Saturday night. Went to a convenience store to make sure Rich Stadium is what I had just passed - no Google Map then, nor smarphones ha ha. There was a guy there buying beers that says "follow me". And yep, it was Eric. People were camping from Saturday as it was the opener. They fed us and all. Classy fun people. A great time. All the next years I went there, of course. So yeah, to not get banned ha ha, I won't comment more. But disappointing to me, I won't lie. Not that I could possibly go this year anyway the way Québec, Ontario and NY State are playing this. Border is still closed and so on.

And that is of course the main difference But what about all the others? Differences in length and width of the field (wwwaaaaayyyy too big BTW, it sucks as a fan), different end zone size, goal post at the zero yard line, 12 players vs 11, 1 point by kicking in the end zone, 3 minute warning, different game clock management and stoppages, and on and on and on. Don't tell me that for many of these it's not just to be different! Childish, even.

Gronk Sets World Record with 600 Foot Catch

Well that's a world record I think I'd have a chance to beat! -
I'm a Québécois. It's like you guys can't fathom that it's 100% fine to resist being completely overwhelmed and drowned. North America is English, the Internet world too. We are getting to be a minority in Québec itself and Trudeau (father & son) and ilk want to assimilate us. Your point that you can easily live only in English in Montreal illustrates this to a T. Of course it doesn't excuse rudeness in Québec City, but that comes more from Ontario youngsters coming in to party, drink at 18, and raise hell LOL It comes from old battles. Tourism used to make that City live (before Covid) so it's not as bad as you make it. I'll never get why so many English Canadians, that strive soooooo hard to be different from their American peers with which they share 95%+ of the same culture, hate us while we give a different flavor and uniqueness. When I go to Texas, I want to live a Texan experience. Same in New York, Louisiana, BC, Alberta, etc. Yet many of you guys hate on Québec, while knowing so little about us. Most of us speak English so we understand you more way more that vice versa. And for all it's PC woke slant, the Canadian media still vomit all over us with no restraint. My father told me decades ago how they were 4 dudes talking, him, one from Montreal, an American, and a British dude. Guess who didn't speak French? Of course the guy born and raised in Montreal. My last GF was anglophone and spoke French pretty fluently... but she had learned while working. Her ex BF father of her kid spoke none. And he lived in RURAL Québec. He of course complained he had a hard time finding a job. Like if I could in the US or English Canada refusing to learn English... Yeah we want to protect our ways. Well, thanks the web, federal government, SJW, woke culture, young people don't care anymore about traditional values of any kind, so the battle is lost. It'll be English coast to coast in two generations, and we will be just of the many minorities in Canada.

At one point, it was clear that the NFL at least wanted to grow the sport internationally. They play games in Europe and Mexico, had NFL Europe at one point. Yet the two countries playing it have such wide differences it borders on ridiculous. Yes the CFL has a long tradition, but no doubt that most of the rule differences are just to be different, no other reason. But of course Rugby and Aussie Football are also very different from one another, and from North American football. Almost weird when you think about it!

The main problem with the CFL is at least half their season overlapped with the NFL, and while they play games in any kind of weekdays, once the NFL started and thus school started, they played on... Sundays, at the same time as NFL games. Such awesome business sense... Only two countries play this kind of football yet they couldn't agree on any similar rules? Different field sizes, different places for the goal posts, 12 vs 11 players, 4 vs 3 downs, even a... 3 minute warning. It bordered on ridiculous. A merger with the XFL and a season that wouldn't clash with the NFL would be a good thing IMO.

Yep. My doctor won't get vaccinated - she told me without me even asking. My GF's mother is a medical technician and she won't either. Many doctors and scientists have different views, but those diverging from the official line dare not speak of publicly. And it's clear as day the media only have the more "prudent" ones on cue. Enough of that anyway. My point was that because of what's happening in Texas we will able to see soon enough. Either it was too soon or it wasn't. Facts speak louder than your or my or anyone's opinions and theories.

Texas Rangers had a full crowd two days ago. If in 2-3 weeks, there's no spike in cases linked to the attendees, or if there is, we can learn from it. UFC will hold events with full crowds too So by the time NFL season starts, we should have a much better idea. Who can trust fear mongering media these days unless your mind is already made up that the way we humans lived from day 1 to March 2020 is never possible again? At least Texas is doing real "testing" of crowds. We'll see soon enough. I mean, if it's bad it'll be all over the news so we have to keep an eye on what goes there as if it's all well and dandy, media will be silent. Either way, it will be telling.
