  1. Kromer is rightfully praised for the OLine play and getting the most out of his players. But the DLine coach? What does he do exactly?
  2. It's crazy that so many fans don't see that! Since we know the Bills full out, and not the other teams, we see all the team's weaknesses, but not theirs beyond the obvious. You think Beane is not aware of them? The salary cap exist for all teams. For all their weaknesses, the Bills had a dominant season and made it to the last 4. Do we like it? Hell no. We want it all for once. But their "weaknesses" are overall quite low. Y Some fans are like the nagging wives, seeing all their husband's fault while praising other men. If Beane could simply hire that magical pass rusher and WR1, you don't think he would? All 32 teams want that!
  3. To me it's the opposite. It was the 1s and 2nd down plays. Of course those "critical plays" stand out. But the issue was they were always in such "critical plays" all game long. 3rd and long, 4th downs. As many other teams have done against the Bills D, the Chiefs had many drives when they had basically no or very few 3rd downs. They kept gaining 10+ or 8-9 yards per play! They had first downs without even going to 3rd downs. So... no critical plays for them. They didn't need to. Much better this way! What "critical play" did the Chiefs make that they just had to make? And for all the Chiefs' winning aura, it's their defense that dominated all year. Their offense and Mahomes looked like juggernauts Sunday, but it was their highest scoring game, all year! The narrative that the Bills D fails in th playoffs is sadly an accurate one.
  4. In both the Ravens and Chiefs game, it seems amazing that they won or that the game was close. Takeaways and a few clutch plays (Hollins twice vs the Chiefs for sure!) made the difference. Heck, even all year, no receivers, TE or WR, had stats to shout about. Yet... they won most games. Anyway, for all that, this one stings. So close... again.
  5. For the 4th down missed by an inch controversy. Did Kincaid really miss the first down by a few inches on the previous play? Instead of hurrying to do another tush push, maybe they should have waited for the replay. Maybe he was a few inches short, yet, maybe not! What gets me on that 4th down one, is that they chose the ball position of the ref that decided it was short. The other ref clearly was in spot where it would have been first down. There was no video evidence to overturn the decision on the field... but why take one ref's position and not the other?
  6. Oh I agree. Totally. Yet, I also agreed with the gamble. Many fans talk about "wasting Josh's prime years". This was a move to win NOW. The injury really changed everything.
  7. The answers are yes and no. Maybe McDermott and Allen can do what Cowher/Tomlin and Roethlisberger did. Win super bowls by avoiding having to play the dynasty team. Roethlisberger has 2 Super Bowls and didn’t have to beat NE in either one. And, while these cumulated defeats HURT, bad, and I'm seriously POed, the Bills lost by 3 last night. And in OT in the infamous "13 second" one. And with the missed FG one... So yes, they CAN beat them. They really can. But they haven't... And that's why this one hurts so much. Besides that it's the 4th d amn time in a row. I thought they'd win by a TD, and leave no time to booth. But yeah, I expected a win. And Spagnola goes all out blitz all the time in these situations, he's predictable even, why not have a play designed to counter that?
  8. Josh can be blamed for some things too, but THIS? REALLY? He had at least 3 defenders gunning for him full speed with near zero time to watch the play develop. His pass , in the circumstances, was near perfect, really. On a 4th down, you throw it. He did his part.
  9. Speaking of playaction, I was BEGGING for it on that 3r quarter. Brady finally used it... once.
  10. If they can sign another good+ DLineman on free agency with the same money, bye bye Rousseau. Otherwise, yeah you resign him. But not a huge contract. Sorry, he didn't prove worthy of the super big buck$. Von Miller can be cut finally? I actually expected him to make a big play tonight. I was wrong.
  11. And its sucks, BAD. But one loss is in OT, tonight by 3 points. I mean, it's football. Just like everyone seems to forget the Chiefs won the SB in OT last year. People speak as if they are dominating everyone. Yes, they find a way to win! That matters, and it sucks. But come on.
  12. For all the legit talk about Elam and Kincaid, where was VonMiller? He made one good spin move that caused Mahomes to bail early. That's... it. And Rousseau didn't make a huge impact, nor Epenasa. Josh's runs except one were nothing. The OLine couldn't pass protect while they've been so great all year. Just... WHY For all that, they only loss by 3. Hollins must be resigned! He came to play
  13. See, that's why you keep him!!! WHO would reaplce him that'd be better? Yes Reid and Spagnola are better, no doubt. Yet they are better than everyone else too. What good does it do to fire McD??? Bills were 3 points behind. Not getting blown out. You fire Cook cause Barkley is better? It makes no sense.
  14. The OLine had never been as good as this year. All year... except today (OK, and the Ravens game early). I don't get it. Josh had no time, at all. At least there were holes for the run game. But even the Tush Push had no... push. The Chiefs, for all their wins, looked meh all year, just like last year. Come postseason, suddenly it's like they're made of all stars at every position. WT H
  15. Stop that narrative. Not this year. Yes McD and co were outcoached. But just because Reid and Spagnola are the top tier, the clear number ones. It was still a very good showing by McD, Brady and Babish. Just not enough.
  16. 1st round picks - besides Josh! - have been duds. But he has done a great job elsewhere and in FA. As much as I can't stand the sight of Kincaid right now, I give it another season for sure to prove himself. Elam though, damn. And Worthy has proven way more useful than Coleman.
  17. There's heroes in some games. And tonight there's Elam and Kincaid. Damn.
  18. Yessss. I was actually surprised that we knew quickly that Rapp was out. Let the Chiefs plan in the dark
  19. It's been a weird season in that ALL receivers have had supbar numbers, except Shakir. Yet Josh is a legit MVP candidate. Both together make no sense ha ha. And besides Kincaid, Ty Johnson should be used more, he is a legit WR!
  20. Wow. You and I have been feeling EXACTLY the same. Edit: except for the "window" While I didn't feel it was closed, you never know. You just have to make the most of your opportunities!
  21. I'm in the same mood as with the Ravens. The Bills CAN win and I sure want them to win, no inferiority complex at all, but it's basically a 50/50 proposition. So come game time, I'll be a raging combattive madman, but till then I find it hard to get fully into it. On top of playing well and the refs not screwing the Bills, luck has to be there, converting 3rd downs, etc. I really hate to say it, but it's so hard getting to the Superbowl that I'm more shocked now that Tom Brady did it 10 times than I was back then! That being said, GO BILLS!!! Just one before we die. It's the year to do it!!!
  22. I love Josh doing it but other teams have started using TEs and other players for it. They don't have to risk Josh every time! There's been some trick plays too. Maybe not a 4th down but on 2nd and 1, why not. And Josh could take the ball and run off tackle. He's done that before in obvious "QB sneak" plays.
  23. This win against the Ravens was all runs and a Dink & Doink offense. The Ravens threw way more deep balls. Not all of them worked, but the Bills didn't even try any. And it wasn't the first time this season. Yet... they keep on winning. But let's be real: yesterday it was the D causing turnovers that won the game. The offense had a bad 2nd half. It IS weird that with a canon arm QB we see no deep passes attempted.
  24. Yep. And it's crazy! We see hockey players missing weeks and weeks. Boxers and MMA have to take 90+ days off any contact in training... and in the NFL they play the next week! Hopefully, they really monitor these guys.
  25. One catch for our TWO top receivers (on paper)... how can that be. It's been like that all year, no unique to this game. Yet the offense is clicking and scoring ha ha. It still makes no sense. We can dream that against KC and in the Superbowl, somehow, Cooper and Samuels become threats again. Kincaid too, while at it. BTW there was no deep pass attempt by the Bills! At all! The Ravens did try some and succeeded in a few. Josh is too good to just dink and doink all game.
