  1. The Bills can't pressure anyone with this front four. Bench Preston Brown Blitz up the middle relentlessly Bills have the corners and safeties to maintain coverage long enough for the rush to get there. Brady will pick apart McD zone defense. The Pats offense is based on Brady hitting guys in stride. Brady destroys zone coverage because he finds guys that are moving while the defenders are reacting.
  2. Keep KB and Jones. Target a veteran in FA. Sign DT. Fill in the 5 and 6 WR with a punt returner or a UDFA
  3. 1. It's not impossible 2. Blitz Brady mercilessly. He will beat the blitz often but if you can hit him a few times the turnovers might offset the times he beats the blitz. 3. Go no-huddle the entire game 4. Bench Dimarco and play double TE as your base set. Out of this set pass often either via screens, or by motioning Shady out of backfield and lined up out wide. 5. Introduce Dennison and TT to the stop fade pass. Has a Bills QB ever thrown this pass? It is nearly impossible to defend. Both Jones and Mathews have the size to block out the defender and make a grab 10-14 yards downfield. 6. Blitz even more. 7. Bench P. Brown this week and play Humber at MLB and Milano at OLB. Brady and his RBs will kill us if they play short zone or man-to-man with Brown at MLB. 8. Bring Poyer down in the box . Simulate pressure off the edge, back into coverage, and then blitz up the middle 9. Pass on first down 10. When leading by 10 in the fourth quarter, do not get conservative. Keep throwing, go sugar-huddle to keep the threat of a quick snap, and keep blitzing.
  4. Exactly. There is no reason to change the run blocking scheme with the #1 rushing attack two years in a row. All he had to do was add some West Coast principles to the passing game. Arguably he has made TT a better pocket passer. He goes through his progressions faster, throws to all parts of the field, and does not leave the pocket too early. But by destroying the run game, Dennison gets them into too many 2nd and 3rd and long situations. He does not let TT get out of the pocket and he does not let TT run on designed plays often (he has called a few). TT is sliding more than ever which is good. I don't know where the deep ball has gone. Not knowing, I will not say that is on Dennison. It could be the WRs, the O-line, or even TT for that matter. Let's see what happens with a more confident Jones, a healthy Clay, an improving Dawkins, and Mathews in the slot. It would be nice to see KB with that group but looks like that won't happen.
  5. He is a disappointment as a first round draft pick. He has been overweight since the day he arrived. He lacks any of the exposiveness he showed at Clemson. He is a solid but unspectacular player. Taken in the third round he would be a solid pick. We just want more because of where he was drafted.
  6. Kyle is shot. He is all heart but just doesn't have but a few significant plays a game in him. Honestly, there is no way to explain the meltdown and at least one game resurgence of the defense. They looked like a completely different team for three weeks. Makes me wonder if this stuff is all fixed. I mean how the hell do they give up 500 yards rushing in two games and then go out there today and make game saving tackles all over the field. McDermott and most of the coaches in this league need to learn the 4 minute offense is about passing the football. This is the only thing Maj and I might agree on. Belichick and Brady have shown the way. You pass to burn the clock. They stack 8 in the box making it easy to get short safe passes completed. One play action pass on first down and that game is over well before White gets his INT. They play 8 in the box and Man to man. Paly action pulls the line backers in, making a TE curl, a WR inside slant, or a flat/wheel to the RB almost a certainty. I like TT, but he needs to do something magical this week if they are to beat the Pats. Maybe run for 100 with Shady over 100.
  7. Refs are like cops. They defend their own even when bad calls are made. The guy made a mistake. You know at least one or more other ref saw that play and saw no penalty. They should have picked up the flag. No he wasn't
  8. No one even on this board wanted him cut Is he #2 or #3 WR when KB is healthy? Does it really matter? WR is top 3 hardest position to do well as a rookie. TE and OL are the other two.
  9. What is old-school about defense and running the ball? 2016 Broncos. All the Seahawk teams. You are making yourself look silly now.
  10. I want wins. You want to win passing the football. That works with Brady and Rodgers. Defense, running the ball, and not turning it over wins too. Look at Russell Wilson. All kinds of yards this year. Best player on the team. No running game. No defense. Wildcard tea at best.
  11. Eli, Wilson, Manning. That is 4 SB wins with average or below average QB play. Take away Brady, and how many wins/losses do great SB QBs have? Maj you want Brady or Rodgers. Those are two of the top 5 QB of all time, both of which fell in the draft. Wait your time, draft someone to compete with TT and rebuild the lines while doing so
  12. I'm sorry but you keep changing the parameters of your argument against TT. Not enough yards. Win % too low. Doesn't throw over the middle. Leaves pocket too soon. Stays in pocket too long. Total QBR gives too much credit to running QBs. Not throwing INT is not as important as TDs. TT is best QB in 17 years by far. Drafting a QB next year is fine with me but you don't move on from TT before you know the rookie is any good. Did KC move on from Alex Smith? No. Don't waste picks like Whaley did. Rebuild the lines, draft a QB that falls to you, and win now and next year with TT.
  13. Settle down Maj You would think they are talking about the QB position
  14. Complete misread of the situation. The entire right side of the O-line needs to be rebuilt. Ideally Cordy can get healthy and they can move him or Dawkins to RT. Shady is still a weapon. A better #2 RB than Tolbert is fine with me. He may be on the team already. Gillislee will probably be cut by the Patriots and can come back with tail between legs and a bit richer. They can address RB in FA or mid-late rounds of draft.
  15. The kid is looking like a pro. He has decent size and decent speed and he is getting better not worse as the season goes on. Look for him to get more attempts especially if they can get Clay, KB, and Matthews all healthy and on the same field with Zay.
  16. I thought QBs are judged by the win-loss record? TT is a flawed QB. He is not a top 10 QB. But he is good enough to win with even an average defense. And he is a perfect playoff QB. Let's see what happens down the stretch.
  17. This board is so sad. All this talk about the QB position when it is the defense that disappeared for three games and now found new life. TT made a bad throw that still netted a completion. A first quarter TD. No interceptions. TT is not great but more than good enough to win playoff games.
  18. McDermott is a fraud. Coaching not to lose.
  19. Terrible play calling. Two minute offense is passing in 2017
  20. Please go play action on this first play.
  21. Dam, I like TT and he stayed in pocket. But a better throw to Oleary and they are in red zone.
  22. What is so hard to figure out? They traded the best player on the DL. The majority of run yardage given up has been right up the middle. Dareus was not playing less he was playing more as the season went on. That's because he has the body size and talent of an elite DL. The others do not. Washington is a 3-4 DE not a 4-3 DT. Kyle is done. He has been a no-show all year. They traded the best player of the front 7 for cap space next year when they had the best chance at making the playoff in a decade. That will be written in the first paragraph when analyzing why McDermott is let go at the end of 2018 season.
