It's not a matter of being down on him. By most people's assessment he did not play as well last year as he did his rookie year. However we have no idea what the impact of the trainwrecks at LG they played next to him, nor the playcalling. I think most on here are hopeful with Spain playing next to him, that Dawkins will have a solid year and earn a contract extension in the off-season. Some still feel he would be better at LG - based on what I have no idea. Best case scenario for Buffalo is that he plays like a top 10 LT and he gets paid somewhere around 5th highest contract a year before his contract is up. I take that back, best case scenario he plays like a top 3 LT and they pay him what he is worth. I don't see him as a top 3 LT but I can easily see him playing like a top 10 guy.

Agree with paying Dawkins. He is not elite but they can not afford to go into 2020 draft needing another OT. I would tag him if they can't agree on terms. The NFL or at least many teams have has devalued the safety position. See what Seattle did with Earl Thomas and the Giants letting Collins walk. Poyer is very good but not special. I would agree with an extension but not break the bank on him. I know many on here love Milano but I would not pay him. I'd let him walk and get the comp pick. I'm not paying for a OLB that does not rush the passer. Everything else he does is replaceable with another draft pick. He is a capable coverage linebacker and does make some impact plays. I'm not saying he is not an asset but he is not a top 45 linebacker in this league. Someone will pay him like he is because they will have the cap room. That's fine. Let him walk then. Don't bid against yourself. If he is willing to agree to a three year extension now at reasonable and guaranteed money - make the deal. If not just draft another guy.

Bills OL has never played together, starting TE has a bad foot, one RB is ancient the other is a small school rookie, and the WR group is better on paper. Both teams have 2nd year QB with mixed success in year 1. I have no reason to state this but I think Daboll is a better OC than Gase. Gase has done nothing without Peyton Manning. How this guy got a job is nuts. It's worse than any OC with Brady getting a HC job. Has Daboll done much? Not really bt at least he has done it on his own merit. The game will be decided as most are at the LOS. Can the Bills new O-line handle the Jets good front 4? Can the Bills front 7 stop Bell and force Darnold to beat them with a limited receiving group going op against a very very good Bills secondary. Great first game to answer some questions. Based on what? Not trying to call you out but what basis do you have for these comments? When did Shady ever not act like a team guy? Always praised his o-line. Never complained about QB play. Played hurt in playoff game. And what has Gore done to be a mentor? I have no idea and nobody else does. Gore is saying all the right things but so did Shady. I have nothing against Gore. To last in this league he must be a good locker room presence. Thought it was a good signing at the time. I don't agree with cutting Shady and think he probably has more total yards than either Gore or Singletary with the Chiefs. But time to move on and hope youth will win the day.

Well stated. Long has more starting experience I believe and he is a backup now. Probably not even the primary back-up at C or RG. Feliciano has looked good at RG. I think a Feliciano/Ford combo is better than a Ford/Nsekhe combo. Ford was a draft gift. A low first round guy picked in the second round at a position of need. This is the kind of pick that can really make a difference for a team/season. Fill a massive hole at an important position without giving up a toe of cash or assets.

1. Extend Dawkins and White 2. Extend Levi Wallace 3. See who has a better year Milano or Poyer and extend one of them. They won't be able to afford both and need to add an edge rusher. 4. Eat Kroft's contract - he is going to be lucky to play 5 games this year and will be cut at year end. I'm intrigued to see how Knox plays. The Bills have never had a TE make a ProBowl in their entire history and wanted Fant in a trade down scenario if they could not land OLB Josh Allen. Knox has athleticism at the TE spot and a basketball background. YPC was amazing in college. Total catches in college - not so amazing. Let's hope 5. Let Lawson walk. I prefer Lawson over Murphy but this regime does not. Even if Lawson outplays Murphy they will not tag Lawson and if he plays well he will get a good contract elsewhere. Could be a 4th round comp pick if they play the FA signing game correctly. 6. Find two edge rushers either in FA or the draft. I wanted Allen over Oliver and would have given up picks to move up to get Allen. It would be so choice if Darryl Johnson is legit. He has the frame to be a great edge rusher. If he develops could be a major piece of the defense on the cheap for a few years. That said, Hughes is old and I don't see anything in Murphy. So in my mind, they still need to add two new edge rushers next off-season. 7. Based on my projected 10-6 record they will be picking around 22nd, they should take best TE or edge rusher on the board at that spot.
