  1. Should have been flagged for helmet to helmet contact. Milano too on the same play. He led with his head the entire way. These guys dont care about CTE.
  2. Apparently process players aren't very smart
  3. Time to play Peterman. Anderson is awful and doesn't know the entire offense.
  4. Or they emberass us so badly, Pegs pulls the plug on these clowns
  5. Gailey schemed Fitz and Stevie Johnson into a respectable offense but chose Wannstedt to lead the offense. Schwartz schemed the Bills into a top 5 defense. Rex destroyed it. Hell even Anthony Lynn produced a top 10 scoring offense and a top 3 rushing offense. McDermott, Dennison, and Castillo destroyed it. From these examples I can see two legit arguments. One, stop changing Head Coaches so often and try to get some consistency. The other argument is McD is failing just like his predecessors with an offense that is regressing terribly and a defense that is schizophrenic at best.
  6. If you are Elway, would you give the HC job to Wade Phillips?
  7. This franchise simply can not identify talent at the coaching position. I would be hard pressed to name a decent coach/coordinator since Marchibroda left. Look at Darby and Mathews today. There are ex-Bills starting all over this league. There are teams with just as little talent on offense as the Bills that can move the ball and put up points. McD and Beane have shown no ability to judge talent nor bring in elite level coaching. I doubt they will be let go at the end of the season but it is not out of the realm of possibility if they lose out (again I doubt this will happen). But does anyone trust either McDermott or Beane to make quality decisions with the roster, draft, and coordinators???
  8. Jackson even at his age would be the best WR on the team by far. Under team friendly deal for next year. They could package a bunch of low round picks for him and make a difference this year and next. But I doubt McD thinks Jackson is a process guy.
  9. Here is why you are mostly wrong 1. Most of those picks are on day 3 - so a hefty dose of Ray Ray and Proehl type talent - ie mostly special team bums, PS guys, and if you are lucky a Stevie Johnson. Also both Beane and McD have traded up multiple times wasting valuable early round selections with the notable exception of tradig down to get White. 2. Many teams will have as much or more than the Bills. I am not one of those guys that thinks players will not sign in Buffalo or that the Bills need to pay a premium. But I also have no confidence in Beane to spend wisely. Beane created the dead cap mess. Star, Murphy, the guy that retired, Bodine, DiMarco(I know that was McD) are all horrible wastes of money 3. Agree 4. Have you seen the games against San Diego, Baltimore, and Indy? And just because McD keeps saying they are young doesn;t make it so. Hughes is the best defender this year and is pushing 30, KW will be gone, and Star, Murphy, Shaq, Poyer, Hyde, Lorax, and whatever DB is playing opposite White are not very young. At best the core of the defense is average with a star 2nd year DB and a 20 year old MLB that is playing like he should have stayed in college. 5. White is great. Dawkins is slighlty above average but wasted an additional pick. Zay has been mostly terrible. Milano is hot and cold but better than I thought. Beane's career will be decided by Allen. Edmund's looks far from legit and again wasted picks moving up. Johnson sure looks like a good middle round pick. Wouldn't it be nice to have had 4 more of those the last two years??? Phillips looks like KW. Doesn't play like him. But DT is a very hard position to learn in NFL. 6. The OL is not a single player. They need upgrades at C, RG, LG, and RT. They need a #1 WR, a #1 TE, a #2 DB, and assuming they trade Shady a competent RB. Add back-up QB, another S, and depth guys. That is 8+ starters. That will not happen in a single off-season. Best case sceanrio they start to tank and a couple of the reserve O-linemen get playing time and look at least competent. The Rams had far more talent before Goff turned his career around. And so far, it does not appear McD can pick an OC worth a dam. The last one destroyed a top 5 running game with a zone blocking scheme, Castillo appears clueless, and Daboll just sounds dumb. Another Belichick castoff that has never produced outside of the shadow of his mentor.
  10. Wow Dallas got had. Cooper is a 3rd round talent. Was a reach when he was first drafted.
  11. Woods Darby Gilmore Watkins Goodwin I've already stated I would have not kept Woods or Goodwin for the money they got but they are earning their contracts. Darby would still be here on a rookie deal starting if they did not trade Watkins. McBeane were predetermined to move Watkins and Dareus even if the play on the filed got worse.
  12. Well said. Allen actually has protected the ball reasonably well for a rookie. Peterman and now Anderson are the turnover machines that TT never was. You understand that the brain trust created the dead money? They were not in a salary cap jail. This is all made by Beane. They could have kept TT and still drafted Allen and had money to spare. Dareus money is not much different than non-existent Star. Murphy money did not need to be spent. This mess is man made. And there is no reason to believe Beane will make decent choices with the cap space next year.
  13. 1. Defensive backfield is above average. White and Hyde are ProBowl talents, Poyer is average, and Gaines is terrible. Add Johnson as a capable nickel DB and that equates to well above average. 2. Haushcka is a top 10 PK 3. OT - probably right at average. Dawkins is somewhere between 10-16 and Mills is somewhere between17-21. Yes there are worse OT than Mills. 4. Punter - 14th in Net Yards per punt and 2nd in punts inside the 20 - the only two stats that matter for a punter 5. DE - this is pure speculation but Hughes is playing at a ProBowl Level, Lawson is playing ok, and Murphy is just a smidge above awful. I have no idea why Lawson is not starting over Murphy. Even Lorax is playing ok. So my guess is the DE group are somewhere just above average. 1. QB group - probably the worst in the NFL even considering Allen as a rookie. Jax, 49ers with an injured Jimmy G, Miami, and Arizona are all bottom feeders 2. OG - what a dramatic fall from ProBowl to absolute garbage 3. C - not as dramatic as Wood was a bit overrated by this board but he was solid. Bodine looks capable at times but he is a bottom 5 player 4. WR - So many unknown factors here. They look bad on paper and on film. They drop a ton of passes. But if the QB play is this bad and the OC quality is unknown (track record says he is below average) how can we really know how bad this group is. That said I'm sure this group is bottom 3. 5. TE - again absolute garbage. Clay is mailing it in worse than KB. He will be lucky to get a vet minimum contract but I suspect he will just retire.
  14. I've always sucked. What did you expect?
  15. That is correct. That is why you trade down and get two or more talented players
  16. In what universe is Phil Simms in the HOF?
  17. What do you consider winning?
  18. Coming into this game Shady had 4.0 YPA compared to Ivory's 2.5 YPA. So explain to me how Ivory is better for this offense? The Anderson pick was not on KB. Anderson threw into triple coverage and stared down KB. Anderson has been total garbage for years and it showed again today. He has no business playing in the NFL. He should be a QB coach. McDermott played Anderson so he didn't lose the locker room even though as awful as Peterman is, he was a better choice to play today. The KB penalty was classic retaliation. No defending it but the Colts player shoved first and the ref saw the retaliation. O-line is below average but not so tragically flawed with Bodine at C. Still needs a complete overhaul. Why do you want Carr? He is playing terrible with a good HC. Allen is the future. I'm ok with adding players on the cheap but the season is over. Any acquisition has to be with an eye on 2019 2020
  19. Don't let Beane have the chance to screw it up. Trade down just like the Colts did.
  20. MaJ - that is still a winning formula in the NFL. It may not be yours but you can still win that way. Seattle and Denver - enough said. I would say the defense needs to be Top 3 and the offense can't turn the ball over. Jax is trying to do it but Bortles is having an awful year. Please don't get me wrong. I wanted Allen. And I think he still looks like any rookie would at this point. In fact better than Goff did in his first season. I too want a modern NFL offense that dinks and dunk and kills the defense with passes before the rush has any chance to get there. Get me a modern NFL OC not a castoff whose last job in college was with one of about only two schools left that still runs a pro-style offense. Bellichick brings in Chip Kelly to steal what works best in college. Chip falls flat because he thinks he can treat NFL players like college kids. It's all about the coach. And Rex and now McD are clueless. Don't let McBeane have another year. They don't deserve it.
  21. KB McCoy DiMArco Clay All need to go this week. My hunch is you get nothing more than 5th round picks for any of them. Hughes is playing excellent football and has a manageable contract for next year. He should stay.
