  1. Adams was holding Clay in the end-zone. Nice run by Allen. It was a fumble and recovered by Allen. TD.
  2. Vlad was never hurt. He was always a healthy scratch. Miller is active. He was hurt with an oblique last week. I think MIller is still in the mix to be brought back next year. Probably less than 50/50. It will all depend on where they want to spend their money. If they go C, WR, TE in free agency that won't leave much left for a high priced G. Would you rather have Miller and a new Center or Bodine and a new OG? I would rahter pay for a top tier C and find your guards on the cheap or in the draft. Either way they need to spend big dollars and/or high draft picks on the interior of the line. And that still leaves TE #1, TE #2, and RT as problem areas.... yikes
  3. Good take. I just don't see the Jets getting beat by the long ball today. They will force Josh to check down. And check down he will today. He will look like a nice pro QB today. Would be nice to see Foster get a jet sweep or a couple of WR screens though.
  4. 7 catches on 9 targets for 115 yards Jets will play a bit more two deep zone and today is the day Josh sits back and takes the short to intermediate throws all game
  5. 1 Hold on the Jets 1 Roughing the passer 1 Defensive Holding 1 Lined up in neutral zone 1 Unsportsmanlike conduct - arguing with an official Add in one strip sack on Darnold and 3 tackles.
  6. Racism is strong in this one
  7. Marrone is dead man walking. He will be luck to get a college OL job
  8. Never wanted Darnold. He got rattled in the pocket in the Pac12. He is more polished than Allen but Allen has more upside.
  9. Exhibit #55 in the case against the NFL for blackballing Kaepernick. Argue if you want he is a bottom tier QB but there is no way he is worse than the bums teams are signing as back-up. Colt McCoy, Sanchez, and this has-been never was. They said the same thing after Kelly, Marino, Elway, and Young...and they said the same thing after Staubach, Tarkenton, Bradshaw. Montana was the bridge in the early 80's, and Favre/Bledsoe in the 90's. There will always be another generation.
  10. Favre had Holmgren, Gruden, Reid, and Mariucci. So far, I don't see Daboll as good as any of those guys.
  11. Would like to see him catch some passes on the move and make some YAC.
  12. Wow the spectrum of posts on this board just regarding Allen is astonishing. From bust to MVP/All-time great. Same thing with the coach and GM. For me I'm a moderate optimist with most things Bills. I like to hash out the pros/cons of moves and decisions. But mostly I feel I'm relatively well grounded in my posts with a slight leaning to a rosey outlook. I admit I'm frustrated with the moves McBeane have made, but have been fairly consistent in saying none of trades or picks really matter if they miss or hit on Allen. If they miss on Allen, then they will be gone next year and along with him multiple picks wasted to trade up. If Allen is a star no one including myself will be able to criticize giving up a LT and multiple picks to go get him. Where do you fall ?
  13. You missed his amazing punt coverage? Or did you miss his special teams penalties? On fire?
  14. Claim Joe Barksdale and then put him on IR.
  15. Low percentage pass and no WR is going to start looking for the ball when already 40 yards downfield. They will start to look sooner. That is a seam route that probably has a window of 20-25 yards down field - behind the MLB and in front of the safety against most defenses. He probably looked back at the correct time.
  16. I'm pointing out the absurdity of this board always thinking the backup is better than the starter with the facts. Most of this board wanted to get rid of McCoy for a guy that looks like he runs hard but gets no results. Now a bunch of people are on the preseason probowler Murphy to start bandwagon. McCoy is still a great RB. Hell even Ivory and Murphy are decent backups. Its the line. McCoy made 3.5 ypc when he was hit in the backfield on muliple plays.
  17. Marrone next? Or Bowles. Maybe Gruden in Washington? Marvin Lewis will make it to the end of the season. Gase and Joseph likely make it to 2019.
  18. He had 4 catches for 67 yards. That is a quarter for some guys. He is an ok player that appears to be getting better. Give him more time. Some people on this board thought he would be a surprise cut due to the off-season stuff. But no one really predicted it and most reasonable posters just said what was true. He was terrible last year. And he needed to get better.
  19. Because Bell doesn't come with David DeCastro in the deal
  20. 6 carries, 4 yards and a fumble for 0.7 YPC. Same O-line against the same defense and Shady has 3.5 YPC.
  21. Officiating can and should get better. But the Bills lead the league in penalties for a reason. They are undisciplined and outmatched.
  22. Refs missed some in this game, but every flag that was thrown against the Bills was legit. The sack around the neck looked bad in real time but the replay showed it was clean. Good call by the refs. They missed the blow to the head on the last drive, a hold on Hughes on the TD throw, and maybe PI on the Zay near catch( hard call to make at the end of the game but probably should have been a call. That said the Kiko personal foul was a weak call that benefited the Bills.
  23. WR is such a challenge. Most of the top 20 guys are first or second round picks with rare notable exceptions like Antonio Brown in the 6th. I think a FA or trade for a WR is the better way to go. Use the draft on the interior OL and OLB.
