  1. I’d be up for getting younger and snagging a guy like Taylor Rapp. Guy is only 25 and is a good tackler. Seems like a good replacement for Poyer. That said, if Poyer is willing to come back for something similar to what Epps got, that’s intriguing.
  2. I think a lot of people would’ve done that deal for Poyer.
  3. Edmunds is our Tyreek Hill. Now we can allocate that money elsewhere to other needs. Bummer he’s gone, but it is what it is.
  4. Bears have stupid money to spend and they are spending.
  5. This is where I am. Him or Darnold. Plus, if you wanted Brissett could run some of the short yardage QB sneaks to save Josh from those extra hits.
  6. Free to nab Poyer now.
  7. Whataburger. Somewhere really nice Clark.
  8. Wow. Really buried the lede with this thread title. Zay’s isn’t great, but how anyone let Capers out of the house like that is incredible. I think we may have found someone with worse hair (or at least on par with) Mark Davis.
  9. And it was doing so well to that point. Took so many swings at early DEs in the draft, Beane’s drafting strategy broke the AI. Even it couldn’t believe they invested that much into the position.
  10. Well that answers my question about whether he holds a grudge. I get being disappointed (even livid if you are truly innocent), but WTH did he expect the team to do?
  11. The whole thing is so bizarre.
  12. Yeah, that’s a good point and you very well may be right. We’ve not really seen this recently with a position like punter. But…Araiza isn’t just any punter on the hype scale. Guy was dubbed the punt god of all things. Guys with otherworldly talent at their positions typically get another chance. If he’s cleared of wrongdoing in the legal system, I suspect that will be the same here, even for a punter with a leg like Araiza.
  13. Maybe it’s just me, but if he’s never criminally charged or held liable in civil court, he’s going to get another chance in the league. You just know someone will do it. He’s too talented. If he truly is innocent (which I'm still pretty skeptical he did absolutely nothing wrong at this point) then he’d be worth bringing back. We are currently punter-less and we did burn a pick on him. I wonder if he holds a grudge against the Bills, but even he has to understand he put the team in an impossible position just before the start of the season.
  14. Congrats Howard on a great career! I have fond memories of the Empire days and occasional rants. You will be missed. With respect to his successor, I’d love to see them bring in some fresh blood to pair with Jeremy. Someone from outside the existing WGR family.
  15. While I’m sick of the Chiefs, I don’t hate them. They are great and it’s not their problem if opposing team fanbases are sick of them. If you don’t like it, then beat them. As others have said, it’s Mahomes league now. Unless or until someone else steps it up and proves otherwise by wrestling it away from him. Sure, there are many other variables that go into team success that the Bills must also improve on (e.g., better coaching, roster/personnel decisions), but everyone is chasing Mahomes and the Chiefs at this point. Any conversation suggesting anyone other than Mahomes is the league’s best QB is just silly at this point. All of this is coming from someone who loves Josh and wouldn’t trade him for anyone in the league. Josh is 100% on Mahomes level physically (in fact, he’s more of a specimen than Mahomes), but the organization needs to do better (like the Chiefs have done) with building around Josh and putting him in better situations to succeed. Which isn’t breaking news to anyone on this site.
  16. Great moment for Damar and all the trainers and medical professionals. Damn Cam Lewis for not just knocking that ball down.
  17. Congrats, Dabes!
  18. Another Panther…
  19. Just reading those words was such a huge gut punch for me.
