Man. Dolphins better hope they get a gem out of Thompson and make the playoffs. Rumblings of McDaniel being fired. Going all in with Tua and some of their personnel moves (trading for hill and Chubb and then paying them big $). Beyond their current losing skid, could go sideways fast. For the record, while I think he’s one strange bird, I think they’d be nuts to get rid of McDaniel after what he’s done for Tua.

Maybe. It’s possible he genuinely didn’t know. I will say I listen to every player presser each week (typically avoid the coordinators and McDs - love McD but he really has mastered the art of saying nothing) and Muki is one of the more engaging reporters on the local beat. While occasionally corny, he brings a bit of energy and levity to the pressers with some of his player question intros. His questions are usually decent and the players seem to open up and appreciate him. Just because the guy makes a single mistake in a moment where nerves could easily have played a factor isn’t an indictment of his overall intelligence. Just my opinion, but, what you’re suggesting could just as well be true.

I heard when Muki asked that and cringed. I think he meant to say “instrumental” but I can’t be sure. That said, I’ll definitely cut Muki some slack. It’s basically a national press conference with a lot of eyes and ears. Probably got a little mixed up. Who among us hasn’t made a mistake?

I’m glad he’s able to muster up some basic human decency. Call me petty but I refuse to give this DB the satisfaction of a click. I’m halfway surprised he didn’t somehow try to spin this into another one of his tired “why Josh is inferior” takes. He could be providing the most unique, caring, and eloquent of thoughts and it wouldn’t erase all the BS that is his schtick. Though, strangely, Brady of all people has earned a few points with me through this ordeal by supporting Damar. Still cannot stand that man, but he was at least tolerable for as long as it took me to get through his related tweets.

I know it doesn’t matter, but I hate that I was critical of Hamlin on the first drive. Puts things in perspective. Absolutely gutted. It’s a game. Who gives a ***** about football with a young man fighting for his life.

Any word on Benford getting back for this one? I’m assuming no, but it would be nice to have our full complement of CBs to slow down their stud receivers.
