I get it’s late in the game and taking him on cap wise would’ve been difficult, but they know pass rush has been their biggest need for years, so you have to make something like this happen when a young multiple time all pro comes available. Absolutely horrible 2nd round pick. Beane’s misses in the first 2 rounds over the years are the difference between continually falling short (to the Chiefs every year 🤬) and getting over the hump. Shows you how good Josh is to have overcome this level of incompetence at the top of the draft to even give us a chance year over year. And I say all this liking Beane as the GM. But sometimes you’ve got to call a spade a spade. Hasn’t been good enough.

I actually thought the dline was one of the areas that looked halfway decent in the preseason. Thought we had tackle depth. Now we’re rolling Phillips old ass in off the couch? Come on. Dude is washed. Poyer and Hyde coming back next? Unless there’s an injury we don’t know about, don’t know how this makes any sense.
