Thank you for looking this up. I mentioned the wind, but my comments were strictly based on the eyeball test. I know New Era gets some pretty crazy conditions, but it just seems like several home games this year we’ve had to wrestle with the winds to the detriment of the passing game. More so than usual. Yes, Josh has proven he can cut through the winds at times and yes it impacts both QBs, but it’s just an oddity of our home games this year. One that I think has fairly neutralized our home field advantage. Interesting to see how the stats prove that out, albeit in a limited sample.

We’ve also had really unfortunate winds at home games this year. Worse than I can recall in the past. Seems like most of our home games this year have had difficult winds. Josh has certainly struggled this year with the deep ball, but even a little wind can compound the problem.

Yep, I could definitely see that too. Made a lot of dough and had all the glory. You look at him sometimes over the past couple years and he hasn’t looked like it’s been much fun for him. Can’t say I blame him. Shurmur has been a disaster.

If I’m Manning, I move on for one more big pay day for another franchise. Not as good as he was, but he can still win in the right situation with a solid supporting cast. I’d cash in on another 2 year deal if I was him. This is the greatest time to be playing QB with some of this funny money thrown around for the position and supply and demand. Agreed. They HAVE to know this. The key to the game is our offense vs. their defense. I’m fully confident in our defense against Hodges. If our offense is not up to the challenge, it will be a long night.

Then where would our customary false starts or holdings come from? It’s hard to replace what Lee Smith brings to this offense.

Gore is no world beater, but should be active. He’s a reliable, steady presence if we get a lead. It’s Senorise Perry that should be sat down. Yeldon offers more to the offense. I refuse to think he also can’t run down the dang field to make a special teams tackle or watch them fair catch. But, a thumper, bruising back should be on our off season wish list. A compliment to motor would go a long way.

Tomlin is doing a helluva job this year. Maybe his finest yet. But if we can’t beat a team led by devlin Hodges with this defense, I’ll have serious questions about our playoff legitimacy. Yes, they are at home with a great defense, but you have to figure out a way to get this done. Play like it means something.

Very classy. Even if he trashed us in that presser, I’ve always thought Harbaugh was one of the best coaches in the league. Guy gets his team ready to go.

That wasn’t always the case. Look the offensive line and Daboll did him no favors today, but some of it was on him. Also, he DID force the ball on a couple throws that could’ve been picked. I can think of one in particular in the first half where he was rolling right and nearly sacked and threw a floater that could’ve easily been picked. Just throw it away and move on. This game was a regression for him and he needs to be better. I don’t disagree. The offense sucked collectively today. But this thread was about grading Allen. He needs to be better. He was reverting to some old bad habits. Doesn’t mean he won’t be better next week. This experience is great for him and the entire team, but this is big boy football this time of year. Have to step up.
