  1. I’d claim him for the stretch run. Does he go to waivers as a veteran?
  2. Darnold’s stats at the end of the game are going to make it look like he did something here. Truth his, he’s made a few nice plays, but the Ravens have barely had to try on D.
  3. Guys efficiency rating is through the roof. Doing it on like 15 completions. Not the first time he’s done it either. Having a great year.
  4. Haha true on Marshawn. And if you recall back at the draft, I remember everyone was laughing at Lamar because he was using his mom to help him through the process and forgoing an agent. I say good for them. Rookie year deal is basically slotted. Keep the money in your family’s pocket. You can hire attorneys or someone as a consultant when it’s time to negotiate your second deal if she’s not up to it or needs a little help. Why give the money grubbers your hard earned dough?
  5. I don’t look at him as a big commercial/promotional guy. Not because he isn’t capable or marketable, but because he seems pretty quiet and reserved. I respect a guy a great deal that does all his talking on the field.
  6. The offense was so God awful last year, it coulda been an oasis in the desert, but it felt like the deep ball was clicking more last year. I like Josh, but I’m not ready to anoint him. You’ve got to love his attitude and work ethic though. No question he has work to do, but every game is different. Hard to compare what Darnold is getting right now vs. the looks Josh got. Doesn’t seem like they are hardly blitzing at all, much less relentless cover 0s. Point is, I’d love another crack at these guys.
  7. Clark has impressed me the past couple weeks. Nice find for them. Heady player who is always around the ball. Ravens gonna Ravens in the draft.
  8. I’m telling you, they are trying to play coverage. More of a finesse game on D. They are sore. We beat the hell out of each other last week. They knew they had to show up for that game. If we had won, and beat the Cheats, #1 seed was on the line. It still is for them, but they don’t need max effort to beat the Jets.
  9. We beat the hell out of each other last week. They’re hoping to coast this week.
  10. And yet...9-4. Toolbags.
  11. Lamar has been great this year, but the ballwashing by the media is insufferable. I’d love to get another crack at these guys.
  12. I was thinking you were referring to the Bills. Unless we win the division (not likely), only way we’d get a home game is if we are the 5 seed and things fall our way. Obviously, 6 seed is weakest seed and won’t get a home game under any circumstances. It definitely could if the Ravens need the game to stay ahead of the Cheats for the #1 seed. But I’m not sure that happens. They are in a great spot because they beat the Cheats and us head to head. They did lose to the Chiefs, but they are 2 games back in the standings. Things could get interesting if they drop the game tonight.
  13. Interesting tidbit, but am I missing something here? Only thing the results of this game could impact is seeding. We just need to win 1 more game and we are in. Yes, if we lose this game, we are likely the 6 seed, but all that matters is winning one more game.
  14. I posted a message about this yesterday. It’s crazy. Murph’s position on certain issues is truly perplexing sometimes.
  15. I guess we’ll see. You bring up good points, and I don’t disagree that on paper it seems like those picks and punishment are severe. To most teams it would be catastrophic. But with the Cheats, it’s usually 30-32 in each round. Yes, still a pick, but contrary to popular belief, Belichick is not a great drafter. Belichick is better on the pro-personnel evaluations in my opinion. That’s where he nabs guys like Welker, Van Noy, Amendola, and on and on. Unspectacular players that come alive under his tutelage. Plus, if they really are cheating and pushing the envelope as much as alleged, that minimizes the impact of any forfeited draft picks or other personnel mistakes.
  16. Been a while since Poyer or Hyde have come up with interceptions. Used to be fairly common, but teams are wisely avoiding and not testing them. Busted coverage last week excluded.
  17. And similar to the NCAA with the UNC situation, the NFL won’t have the balls to throw the book at them and instead will hide in the corner and sweep it under the rug. Cheaters prosper under Goodell.
  18. With this track record of success, Whaley must be turning down more NFL gigs than Greg Williams. I’ll give you the guy was a decent evaluator of talent, who never really got the opportunity to run his own show. However, in the end, he just wasn’t good enough and was shown the door. It’s not personal for me. He seemed like a good enough guy, but just wasn’t good enough.
  19. Here we go. Simple google search tells a different story. While there are a bunch of things you can do to free up money, some of their decisions were certainly dubious. And there are several more articles out there that speak to mismanagement and bad contracts (*ahem* Charles Clay albatross *ahem*). https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2016/01/22/bills-gm-whaley-recognizes-difficult-cap-situation/79162088/ https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2016/02/cordy_glenn_contract_offer_doug_whaley_buffalo_bills.html https://sports.yahoo.com/bills-coach-criticizes-past-regime-irresponsible-moves-172305978--nfl.html https://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/31007/brandon-beane-puts-bills-in-better-position-under-salary-cap-in-2018
  20. You must be new to this. ? I kid. But in all seriousness, all of this fan hand-wringing, one way or the other won’t have one bit of difference on the outcome. There’s absolutely no reason we can’t win this game. Will it be easy? Probably not. Wouldn’t be unheard of to lose the game either. Stay positive and expect to win. Raise the standard. Just have to believe the Bills have finally turned the corner like most of us think (hope ?) they have. They are also likely to get Juju and Connor back. That will only help take pressure off Hodges with the better personnel they’ll have available.
  21. Haha. Yeah, my bad on that one.
  22. Was a joke man. I think you’ve made your position clear over several posts/threads. ?
