I still like Romo. Got a certain cheesy charisma. But, I agree that he’s seemed to tone down the great pre-snap stuff that put him on the map. I don’t think you play QB in the modern NFL for as long as he did and lose that knowledge over a couple seasons. Part of me wonders if it was ticking off the league, GMs, or coaches and the NFL told CBS and him to tone that down. Bummer if that happened.

I’m actually a little surprised they haven’t brought Breeland back. He played pretty well in the two games against us last year. Wouldn’t think at this stage of the offseason he’d be an expensive signing.

Completely agree. Gus was the man. Still remember this call. One of my favorites. Gus about had a stroke.

Harlan has a great voice too. Just have to battle through Gannon at times (although even he’s not too bad). I think Ian Eagle is a little underrated. Even as the #2 team. His kid and Cris Collinsworth’s kid really creep me out though with how much they look and sound so similar to their dads.

Agree on CD. Really like him. Ian Eagle is really good play by play too. I really miss Gus Johnson. CBS made a mistake with him. He’s great anywhere, but I think his talent is wasted only doing college games for fox.

Thought we might’ve had a shot at Nantz Romo, but likely #2 team Eagle and Davis. Browns vs. Chiefs will likely win out over our game. I’m good with Eagle and Davis, but it felt like Nantz and Romo called every game Chiefs were on CBS last year.

My first thought is let Dallas have it. However, if we have to play at Tampa, I guess I’d rather it be early in the year (teams still figuring it out) and at night (less heat). Bring ‘em on.

Usually, Terry is a deranged old man, but this all day. Rodgers is taking this way too far if the reports are true. Just suck it up already.

Rodgers is a great QB, but way too sensitive and temperamental for me. I know QB is the most important position in all of sports, but conceptually, you ain’t bigger than the team bro. Just like we all learned when we were 5. Stop acting like a little b-word.

The Browns were one of the most frustrating teams in the draft for me. At least in rounds 1 and 2. They took two players I would’ve liked to see in McD’s defense right before we picked. More so Newsome than JOK. But what can you do? I’m pleased Beane attacked our biggest weakness in the draft (pass rush) and added a speed receiver/returner later.

We need to come out of this draft with more speed. Preferably on offense. So far the speed receivers are flying off the shelves.

Draft is going great for us so far with pass rushers. Have to think a run will start soon.
