  1. Josh just needs to settle the F down and take what’s there. The oline needs to get their ish together and not get thrown around or walked back into him each snap. They do those things better, they win IMO.
  2. How comforting it is knowing I’m not the only lunatic out there that thinks my traditions, routines, and actions (from clothing and food or drink choices down to remote and phone placement during the game) somehow have an impact on the game. I know it doesn’t, but yet somehow I can’t help myself.
  3. Depending how the year goes, I could see Hughes going year to year for another couple years. If the rookies and Epenesa play well this year, could allow them to move on. If they are middling, I could see Hughes back to give the young guys more time to grow. I agree they should move on from the Carolina Trio (Addison, Vernon Butler, and Star) after the year.
  4. He’s listed as an RDE on pro football reference for the past 3 years with the Chargers. Basically, the same size as Hughes. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/I/IngrMe00.htm But, yes, they moved him around every time he was on the field on Sunday. Guy was a terror. If memory serves me correctly, he also terrorized Josh in his first start against the Chargers in 2018.
  5. They stole Ingram. Guy was signed late July for pennies. I’m not going to knock Beane too much for not going there based on the amount of resources he’s invested in the position the last 2 years, but Ingram opposite Jerry would’ve been pretty nice this year for a team trying to get to the big game.
  6. Doh! Yes, of course!
  7. Depth at WR is already being tested. Gabe and McKenzie dinged, but hopefully they can go. Otherwise, we’re down to Diggs, Sanders (already dinged), and Kumerow. Not ideal. Edit: thanks @YoloinOhio l can’t believe I forgot Beasley.
  8. We’d be roasting McD for end game/clock management like Gruden was doing.
  9. This game is incredible.
  10. You have got to be kidding me.
  11. What a game! Huge kick.
  12. He does, but you have to admit he made marked improvement in that area in 2020. Did not do a great job of that yesterday, so a bit of a regression there. I think he’ll get that sorted out. Yesterday was just a mess all around for the offense.
  13. Completely agree. If there is one guy who will work at it, it’s Allen. To me, other than coming out a little too amped sometimes, it’s the last remaining weakness in his game. If he can hit more of those deep balls on a consistent basis like he hit Diggs on the deep sideline route against Denver last year (perfect throw), then look out.
  14. I don’t disagree with you, but this is year #4. How much longer is it going to take for him to consistently hit the deep ball? It’s fair to ask at this point. Similar to how he comes out too amped up at the beginning of games, he has to settle down and stick the throw.
  15. Peyton gets visually upset when these guys miss on plays or make dumb decisions. He could never coach. Not everyone plays or thinks like him and that would drive him crazy.
  16. Say what you will about them, but Baker, Darnold, and Lamar all throw a better/more consistent and catchable deep ball than Josh. All the arm strength in the world means nothing if you can’t hit your target. And I love Josh. Wouldn’t trade him for any of them.
  17. I think it’s great. A little distracting, but different/fun. A little like watching with your buddies in the man cave. My biggest complaint is the audio. Mics are muffled. Eli is the only one who sounds clear.
  18. Totally forgot about the Manning deal. Is that going on all year?
  19. Plus side is that if the Raiders flame out this year, maybe Mayock heads back to draft coverage with NFL Network. He was awesome at that. Although, his draft record with the Raiders taints that a smidge.
  20. Gruden is a disaster.
  21. D was fine. Played well enough to win. Don’t get the Levi Wallace hate. Sure, he’s not Tre, but most aren’t. As we've all seen, you can do a lot worse than Levi Wallace. This loss is on two things to me: 1. a poor offensive game plan and even worse execution of that game plan; and 2. Inopportune bone headed special teams play on the blocked punt. We gave them this game. “Let them off the hook” as Denny Green would say. If the offense didn’t spend all day short circuiting, we win that game easily.
  22. Agree. I’m being an ass based on Josh’s misfire to Sanders earlier today. I’m still bitter.
  23. Must be nice to not be so amped up so you are able to hit the wide open man running deep for 6. 😈
