  1. Love this! Draft well and retain/reward your own. Our biggest FA coming up this off-season which is a testament to how well Beane has managed this roster.
  2. Even so, are either of those phrases you associate with a liar? Can’t say that I’ve ever heard a liar referred to as rubber/rubbery lipped. Then again, I didn’t grow up in the 30s.
  3. Completely agree. It really was a perfect storm where Tampa’s defensive personnel lined up perfectly to take advantage of KC’s weaknesses at that time. Not so easy to “just do what Tampa did” when the same conditions don’t exist (a hampered Mahomes and backup oline). I still think the Week 6 game plan from last year is the most likely game plan that we see. Keep everything in front and tackle. As I said in a previous post, I’m not against some sort of Belichickian twist where Tre takes Kelce and they double hill with Wallace/Johnson and Hyde. Tre will get bodied sometimes against him, but he’d win a few reps too. Look, these guys are going to score. Defense just needs to slow them down and mitigate the damage. Maybe force a turnover or two. The offense has to step up and go blow for blow with KC’s O.
  4. Something I never thought I’d see.
  5. Did you read the OP? “The good news is it's in his non-throwing shoulder. The bad news is that it explains why Mayfield has played so poorly the past two weeks, completing 53.1% of his passes for 6.2 yards per attempt while missing wide open receivers streaking across the field.” No one is wallowing. Simply pointing out the media’s clear double standard between Josh Allen and other QBs. To be fair to Baker, he dismissed it as nothing (like Josh did when he was dinged). Said he just has to make the damn play. That’s exactly what he should say.
  6. So mayfield will get a pass nationally for a bum non throwing shoulder impacting his stats, but Josh not given the same consideration last year when he hurt his shoulder and his stats dipped for a few games.
  7. Silver lining here: Ravens beat them with all of their injuries (including starting corners). It’s a bummer if he can’t go to be sure, but not the end of the world. Also, while Dodson is no Milano, he registered a faster 40 than Milano (4.60 vs 4.67) and looked good playing last year. Andre Smith looked great this summer (yes, I know, it was preseason) and ran a 4.63. Point being, we have some additional athleticism to tap into. If Milano can’t go, I think Klein will play a lot, but these things happen and we’ll need our depth to step up.
  8. The “just do what Tampa did” model only works if you have the horses to pull it off. That Tampa front 7 is really talented. While we’ve improved on the dline, and I don’t see us blitzing much if at all, I’m not sure our guys are good enough to consistently disrupt and get home with 4. Plus our Lavonte David is currently dealing with a hammy. Guess we’ll see. Still think the Bills offense is what matters most in this game.
  9. Drop EVERYONE into coverage including the Dline. First step back like fielding a fly ball. Good luck trying to find a spot to throw the ball with 11 guys in coverage. 😂 Of course, I kid. I like a similar game plan to week 6 as @GunnerBillsuggested. That plan would’ve worked if they tackled better. We held them to 26 points even with not tackling. Anything under 30 is a win for the defense. I also might take a page out if the Belichick playbook as others have suggested. Put Tre on Kelce all game and double Hill all game with the others. Make their #2 or run game beat you. Sure, Tre will get beat occasionally with the size differential but so what. You aren’t going to completely shut them down. It’s about limiting the damage.
  10. Oh ok. I actually thought you were referring to another instance of which I was unaware. I’m not trying to bust your chops, but that’s a far cry from “see ya losers”.
  11. That would be a great move for them (and us keeping him out of the AFC).
  12. From everything we heard when Gilmore was here was that he was an incredibly hard worker. Taking care of his body, watching a ton of tape to get an edge, and always working on his craft. I don’t get where all the Gilmore hate comes from. Because he didn’t smile when he was drafted? So what. Buffalo had a terrible reputation when he was drafted here and didn’t show much improvement while he was here. The organization was a joke. So, he goes and enjoys a little success elsewhere (says he is excited to be on TV more) and becomes the target of a bunch of Bills fan hate. I don’t get it. He won’t come back here, but we’d be lucky to get him as a #2 corner opposite Tre. Especially, with how much a lot of people on here foolishly try to replace Levi Wallace at every turn. Be careful what you wish for.
  13. Is this actually true? I’m not saying he didn’t say that, but it seems completely out of character.
  14. Speaking of this Chiefs vs Eagles replay, how many times are people going to be fooled by that damn shovel pass Mahomes does down near the goal line for walk-in touchdowns. I swear he gets at least one gimme TD per game with that.
  15. I know it’s early, but such BS man. Just want to play without worrying about whether someone would’ve caught it but for rain or a gust of wind. I’m sitting here watching the Chiefs vs Eagles on replay and it’s a beautiful sunny day. We’ve had ***** weather in all but one game this year. And even the one nice day wind was a consideration.
  16. They’ve been without a few key players on defense early this year due to injury. Frank Clark, Willie Gay, Charvarius Ward, and Richard Fenton. Some of them are likely back this week. Don’t know how much better they’ll be with them in the lineup, but it can’t hurt. Hoping we don’t make them look like the 85 bears out there this week, but I’m not dismissing their defense in this one. At least not until Allen can show he can play better against them. He’s yet to play well against them, which is a cause for concern. I don’t know if he gets too hype or what, but he needs to get after them this time around.
  17. Raiders finally opening it up in the second half. First half plan was garbage. Too conservative. Forcing Jacobs.
  18. Gronk’s acting in that USAA commercial is next level. I really feel the emotion.
  19. Leatherwood really stepping up in this one. What’s that like 3 false starts on him?
  20. Raiders getting embarrassed. Their offensive game plan is nonsensical from the very start.
  21. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I’m not saying people have to choose Allen, but to dismiss him from the conversation entirely like they did in that segment is absurd. Personally, I think it’s Mahomes then Allen if you’re talking the young cats. Putting the old heads in there, hard to not talk about Brady or Rodgers if you need a game or 1 season. Herbert is talented. No one is denying that, but let’s pump the brakes a bit on the “sure fire hall of famer” status.
  22. Abram is a hitter. Packs a punch.
