While I disagreed with his stance on Covid and how he handled getting the shot (from a team standpoint more so than personal choice), can’t thank the guy enough for what he did here. From Josh’s development to the clutch catch on a key down, Cole was there and integral to the team’s success. Wish him luck as he moves on (unless he signs with the cheats, at which point he’s dead to me 😜🤣).

That was a disaster

Understandably, we have financial and cap limitations, but I’m not sure what the plan is at edge. A bunch of young guys doesn’t seem in line with their philosophy. Still options available, but the cupboard is thinning. Im ready to move beyond the Jerry Hughes and Mario Addisons of the world.

Wow. Shocked this guy has been able to stick around in the league with all his suspension troubles, much less get a huge deal like this. Nice season last year. Shows you how much pass rushers are valued. Good for him.

FIFY. The contract sucks, but you do realize they could’ve made it work if they really wanted to, right? They have the ability to create upwards of $30 million in cap space this year if they wanted to pull every lever. They won’t do that, but they could. But you knew that, right? Stud pass rushers cost big $. They didn’t want to do this deal? That’s fine. I understand that. But let’s not act like they couldn’t do it if they really wanted to.

Yep. Contract, injuries, age were certainly less than ideal. Whether it’s Chandler Jones (not ideal on age either) or someone else, I’m really hoping they shore up edge rusher in FA with a legit threat. It won’t be cheap, but I’m fine with that even if it’s the only move we make in FA. Wouldn't mind a mid-level corner either in FA, but that might be too much. Offense can be addressed in the draft as far as I’m concerned.

I would’ve gladly given up a 2nd and a 6th for Mack. That’s incredible. Hope we don’t roll out geriatric Hughes and Addison again.

Oh, I understood his concern. Frank Reich the QB whisperer (which I think is way overstated) and the colts loaded roster ready made for a QB, etc. I just think anyone relying on Trubisky to be the guy will be underwhelmed. Nothing against Mitch personally. He was the perfect backup QB for us. I hope he goes on and is successful somewhere as the starter, but I’m skeptical. But I don’t fear the Colts if that’s where he lands.

Shame. He was a solid position coach. Was Urlacher’s coach and he introduced him at the hall of fame if I recall correctly.

Someone falls off a stage right in front of you after taking your picture, you should probably show a little concern. Not just dip out. Not expecting you to do a backflip off stage to check on her, but just walking away acting like it didn’t just happen or at least trying to get help is crazy to me.
