  1. We are talking about the opening kick off return during the cheats wild card playoff game.
  2. Yeah, you can count me in the “let him focus on being a WR” camp. I’m hoping that Stephenson makes a leap there this off-season and/or they try to address it in the draft. At least make it a competition. Best guy gets the job.
  3. Interesting you bring this fumble up. I was watching a replay of that game a while back (and even when I saw it live) where I remember thinking we really dodged a bullet there. I still think we would’ve won that game, but could’ve really taken the wind out of our sails early and either kept them in it or kept it closer for longer. Hard to really gripe about it knowing how dominant the team was that day, but really fortunate that went out of bounds. None of us want to relive any McKelvin-like returning moments in a big game against the cheats.
  4. Yes, rookie card. $312K. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2022/04/14/rookie-card-buffalo-bills-josh-allen-312-000/
  5. He asked him about his card selling for $300k. And it wasn’t so much that he asked him about that, but more how he asked it. I mean you get 2 seconds to ask Josh a question and that’s what you ask? No shot he was going to respond with anything worthwhile, if at all (and he didn’t).
  6. One thing that annoys me about media perception with Gilmore is that he was nothing until he went to NE. They developed him. Of course, we all know that’s crap, but I find it annoying.
  7. What a stupid question that dude asked him.
  8. That is a brutal read. And not because of the “little jobs” comment.
  9. Obviously, I love Josh and wouldn’t trade him for anyone. BUT…I’ll be honest and say I was a complete idiot when it came to that decision, as I was more in the pro-Darnold/Rosen crowd at the time. I’ll own how terribly wrong I was about that. Most of it driven by listening to too many dopes in the media hyping Darnold/Rosen and completely dumping on Josh. Since then, I’ve learned to trust my own eyes when it comes to evaluating a prospect. I may not know everything there is to know about scouting a player, but at least it is actually my opinion if I’m wrong.
  10. Some of that stuff Baker was saying about struggling to motivate guys that get paid a ton of money to win is so cringe. Can’t even imagine Josh saying stuff like that. I thank the good Lord above that we picked the right QB from that class. Easily could’ve F’d up that decision and instead Beane delivered.
  11. Lol. Thought I noticed that too occasionally. Nice knowing I’m not the only one who notices such things (even though I wish I didn’t! 😂).
  12. Difference is Haden can still actually play some. Granted, Haden isn’t what he was, but those other guys were basically cooked. I’m only looking for a guy with some experience that can hold the fort if Tre isn’t ready for the first month or so. Still think they draft a guy (or 2) regardless of if they bring in a vet. You have a vet corner you want to see them bring in? Or are you in the draft only camp?
  13. Pat P out. Go get Joe Haden instead.
  14. Man…surprised by all the Mayock hate. I thought he was best in the biz when he was doing it. I think his failure as GM (both in picks and job security) had far more to do with Gruden than it did with him. Behind Mayock, Daniel Jeremiah and Buck Brooks are great too (although Bucky’s voice drives me crazy. Sounds like he always needs a lozenge). I like Curtis Conway on Path to the Draft too (not sure if he’s still doing it though). Also, Gil Brandt was/is no slouch. Kiper is a classic and in many ways made the draft the commercial success that it is. I have a lot of respect for him standing on the table for Josh when everyone was laughing and snickering at the pick.
  15. That’s absolutely the right call.
  16. Yeah, I don’t disagree that’s likely the Bears approach with their offer, but my point is that I think the Bills should make the necessary moves to keep him. I don’t know the particulars on the Bears deal (assuming it’s bigger first year money to prevent the Bills from matching), but would you rather keep a guy like Matakevich or cut him and free up some extra dough for Bates? That’s also not the only move they can make to make it work. Bates has earned it here and is super versatile (which they love).
  17. Posted this over in the cap thread, but thought it might be better here: One of the questions you have to answer is whether you think what little salary cap space we have left (or a few extra moves that would have to be made depending on the bears offer) should be used to retain Bates and forego a veteran corner OR let Bates walk and go grab a guy like Haden to hold the fort until Tre is back. My preference is to retain Bates. Reason? I think he can be a good guard in this league and it should be all about doing everything you can to protect and enhance Josh. Yes, you can grab a starting guard in the draft, but I’m not sure I want to wait for that guy to “get it”. Kromer helps with that, but I still prefer to keep Bates and draft a depth guard in the mid to late rounds of the draft. With respect to corner, I think this staff believes in Dane Jackson. This is also the position I feel most comfortable about McD’s ability to draft a guy (not necessarily in the first round, but I wouldn’t hate that) and coach him up.

  19. 1. Trivia (sports, pop culture, tv show, movie themed). Split the guys up and let them battle it out. Maybe even have a team made up of fans to compete. 2. Video game competition (e.g., Madden, MLB, CoD, FIFA). 3. Dating Game (split the guys up into teams and see how well they know their teammate). 4. Fan Q&A (Do a media/super bowl style interview panel for fans to ask questions to their favorite players, but to ask a question, fans need to bid/donate a certain amount per question to that player’s charity/foundation). *Edit: 5. Pinewood Derby Races (Take them back to their Cub Scout/Boy Scout days. Have them partner with either another teammate or Oishei children's hospital patient to design/decorate their cars and race against one another. Similar to a “my cause, my cleats” vibe).
  20. What the hell is wrong with these teams keeping big time guys in the conference? First the Texans with Watson and now this. Reminds me of when people used to give players away to the Cheats.
