  1. Josh would’ve beat both these teams. Damn it.
  2. They have to open this up and stop running so damn much.
  3. I hold no ill will toward Spain. I liked his play in 2019 and was disappointed things didn’t work out in 2020. That said, “felt like they were trying to ruin my career” is a bit harsh. They re-signed him on a pretty solid deal to provide for his family. Whether I like it or not, when a player isn’t playing up to par, McD tests guys by sitting them down (or sending them a message some other way) and seeing how they respond. The guys that fight for it and work through it tend to stick around. I’m not suggesting I’m in favor of that approach, but it’s what he does. Sounds like Spain took the benching poorly (fair), but didn’t want to fight back for it. Just shut it down. So they cut him free.
  4. You really feel this way? If anything I think he favors special teams too much with some of his roster decisions (both 53 and game day). If you mean from a coaching perspective, hard to disagree. Some of the ST coaches haven’t been of the highest pedigree.
  5. That Chiefs kick off cost him. You aren’t cutting Bass to make a point (nor should they), so the ST coach is the fall guy. As long as they don’t drag Danny Crossman back here, I’m good with it.
  6. I used to look forward to this year as our opportunity to finally(!) get out from under this contract, but he was solid for us this year before he came down with Covid. For the little savings he gives us to walk, I’m probably keeping him one more year. The difference for me this year is that I wouldn’t rely on him. That’s been a failure of theirs the past couple years in my opinion. In other words, bring in some other younger players (FA or draft) to compete with him. If he ends up playing as a backup for this year, so be it. Even though the contract is what it is, you can do worse on a backup DT. Next year I’m definitely out though.
  7. Cam Jordan can go F himself (but a talent like him would be nice). He’s gone on record saying he’d give a hard no to going to Buffalo. And this is since McBeane and Josh has been here.
  8. All good dude! Such an unusual arrangement. I agree though. Im all for him going agent-less for his first deal since it’s basically slotted by draft position. You do it right, that’s a smart move. Interested to see how it goes with him negotiating the second, big $ deal though. The devil is in the details on these things. Guaranteed money, structure, etc. so important. For his sake, I hope he has at least someone with some experience in his corner looking over his shoulder on this deal.
  9. Aside from the weather, if he was going to keep playing, family, more notably Gisele, probably had something to do with that interest. Miami is quite common for travel options to/from South America. I’d imagine much easier for her Brazilian relatives coming in for a visit (or vice versa).
  10. Even when the team actually wins, It’s always a little surprising to me that anyone but the team would even want this stuff. Only season specific achievement shirt I’m buying would be for a super bowl win. Im not walking around with some division winner or AFC championship shirt or hat to serve as a reminder that we didn’t finish the job that season.
  11. I’m confused. Isn’t that article written by an Eagles fan? I get why he’s interested in a division opponent’s HC hire, but, other than that and sticking up for a former eagles reporter/radio guy, why is he taking up for the NYC media here? Just seems odd, but I’m sure I’m missing something.
  12. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/texas-sports-nation/texans/amp/Brian-Flores-gets-second-interview-with-Texans-16819548.php
  13. If it goes down, Flores shouldn’t need any other proof than this for his lawsuit. No way in the world you can tell me this guy with zero coaching credentials is the best guy for the job. The only problem is that the Texans have become a joke of a franchise and the strongest candidates don’t seem to be remotely interested, so he may actually be the best remaining guy for the job.
  14. 🤮🤮🤮. What a tool.
  15. I’m good with it. Wasn’t sure if McD would ultimately opt for experience calling plays over continuity. Argument to be made for either. At the end of the day, McD has earned the benefit of the doubt with me on this promotion, and if Josh likes it then I love it.
  16. Not surprised so much by the former since it is fairly common around the league, but really surprised by the latter. Like with Daboll, Josh will be a king maker for more and more people as time goes on. Usually, people are trying to hitch their wagon to something like that. Why anyone would even entertain leaving us should be pretty telling about how McD really feels about that person.
  17. Not surprised or torn up. Up until the last month of the season when they FINALLY played Bates, I was ready to move on from Johnson.
  18. Love the Williams pick. The past couple years it has been evident this team needs to infuse more speed into the team. He has that in spades. I love that he also has some size and essentially takes care of our returner woes. I also love Olave. Guy is as smooth as silk. Easily looks to be the best route runner. A little slight of frame, but the dude can fly. If someone takes Williams ahead of Olave and he’s there for us, I’m taking him no questions asked. London is an incredible catcher of the football. Great hands catcher, shielder, and high point guy. He can get down the field, but he looks to lack that top end speed and suddenness Williams and Olave offer. I wouldn’t hate the pick, but I would prioritize Williams or Olave over London simply because I think they have more of what this team needs - speed, speed, and more speed.
  19. No, I wouldn’t hire him or any other defensive coach to be my head coach. Regardless of how successful they are. That’s not to say I don’t think defensive coaches can be good head coaches. I do. And for the most part, total body of work, McD has done great here. That said, my personal preference is to lean toward hiring an offensive minded head coach so we aren’t constantly replacing OCs due to success.
  20. Not looking good for Leslie to get another shot at HC this cycle. Fair or not, those last 13 seconds undid all the good from this season to most decision makers.
