Weren’t they just saying two days ago he still had a chance to play week 1 depending on how he responded to the workout they put him through? Maybe he didn’t do well after the workout, but seems like a pretty dramatic shift in position that he could be ready to play in a few days to now possibly being out 4+ weeks.

Week 1: Bills at Rams on TNF in NFL Kickoff Game

I saw that. Seriously…what planet are we living on right now as Bills fans? Soak it in folks. Yes, they actually have to go do it and live up to these lofty expectations. But damn…it has the potential to be one helluva ride. -

I agree that McD and Frazier will have some different wrinkles for them. They know how good McVay is as a play caller and how good their offense is. Should also keep in mind that Stafford will give this secondary some opportunities for turnovers too. Not saying he is a bad or reckless QB at all, but he does take some chances. DBs have to be ready to capitalize on it if given the opportunity. -
Who said anything about hurting? You’re stuck on the money. I said the money is good on PS in my post. Professional athletes want to play. How do they make more money and maximize their value? By playing 🤯. The guy is 28 years old and has been with the Bills since 2018. At some point you have to ask yourself if it is ever going to happen for you with this team. Especially, if you’ve been grinding it out the past few years and unable to crack the 53. Maybe, as you contend, he’s completely cool with his role on PS and the associated salary. He wants for nothing more. I’d bet that’s not the case. And after the same routine the past few years, that has to wear on you mentally wondering what more you have to do to make the 53. Oh, I have no doubt about that. I’m sure they are treated amazing and like other members of the 53.

To you and I as non-professional athletes…I suppose probably yes. But this is an ultra-competitive sport with a lot of egos. A lot of these guys have been “the guy” their whole life. They want a shot to play to show what they can do. Especially, after what they have to do year round to keep their bodies in peak condition to play. Plus, the money on the 53 is better. I’m not complaining he stuck around, but I wouldn’t have been shocked with him trying to find his way to a better path to some playing time with another team.

God bless guys like Mike Love. He’s been at this for the past few years and hasn’t been able to crack the 53. Yeah, the money is good on the practice squad, but at some point that has to get to you mentally.

Tre White to PUP list, out first 4 games
Blank Stare replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair to criticize that moment. Who among us hasn’t? The distinction between my point and yours (to me) is the mistakes made at the end of that game (against one of the best offenses and QBs in the league no less) are not a reflection of their overall ability to coach up the DBs. They wouldn’t have been in that game if they couldn’t get the best out of the rest of the guys on the roster at the position after Tre went down. They were 13 seconds away from making the AFCCG with a 4th round, 7th round, and UDFA at corner. On the #1 ranked defense. No question they made mistakes to end that game, but overall pretty remarkable what they were able to do to coach those guys up and not go in the tank when Tre went down. -
Probably just playing it safe.

Granted, they are highlights, but watching his college tape, the guy is explosive and is running away from guys. Outside of injury, I’m not sure he’ll get much run at WR this year, but you never know. More likely at returner (which he was pretty good at in college, but had a few awkward moments last year doing it in the pros that people are dogging him for). I’m just happy they see something there that may be worth developing. Time will tell on him.

I’d like this. People keep trying to move on from Stevenson, but I’m not ready to quit him yet. Looks like the Bills aren’t either. Yes, he’s got work to do, but he has good speed and can hopefully still contribute to this team at some point provided he can get/stay healthy.

I keep hearing on WGR that people don’t think Elam is playing well (at least in relation to Benford). I don’t know what games they’ve been watching, but from what I’ve seen he’s been fine. I like his skill set and temperament at the position. Of course, he’s a rookie and will be tested, but he’s only going to get better.
