If he plays, what makes you think he wouldn’t be good to go? I think the team has demonstrated time and again they won’t rush anyone back. If that were the case I think guys like Oliver and Poyer would be playing today banged up.

I love the potential of Jaquan and Hamlin, but boy this is f’n unbelievable to have all these injuries.

Bummer! Would be the perfect 4th safety to add some depth if it doesn’t work out with Jaquan (which I’m not expecting that to not work out).

I agree with him that Jaquan is ready, but I wonder how much of this is just a former ‘Cane supporting another. I guess what lends this more credibility is that Mongo played here and saw Jaquan day-to-day.

I think we’ll hold up fine without Hyde and Jackson. Not saying we don’t need them or that it would be easy, but I think Jaquan is ready to play. That said, missing both Hyde and Poyer along with two rookie CBs might be too much on defense. And I like Hamlin and this staff’s ability to coach up the secondary, but boy that’s a lot of missing experience on the back end. Edit: Not at all suggesting this means we lose. Just that the defense may give up more and look a lot different. That said, I still have a lot of faith in Josh and the rest of the O to pick up the D.
