  1. They've owned everybody, actually.
  2. I also thought Rivers embellished it a bit... a diving penalty ala Derek Roy
  3. It's more likely that the Patriots rookie kicker wins it on the last play of the game.
  4. IMO, Marty will be lucky to keep his job. That was a pathetic display of not wanting to win. No discipline, no character, no chance. That interception/fumble was on 4th down, right? Knock it down, you idiot, don't try to be a hero. It usually backfires.
  5. One other thing to keep in mind: the cap went up in a big way last year due to the new CBA. However, there were still (statistically speaking) the same number of free agents available. In other words, the demand was significantly less than the supply, so not all teams spent to the cap -- nor could they. Well, they could have signed me for $80 million, but that wasn't going to happen. But you get my point. Anyway, going forward, I suspect you will see teams not spending to the cap because of the local revenue problem.
  6. "An Orange Beach charter boat captain has been accused of shooting a dolphin that was trailing behind his fishing vessel in the Gulf of Mexico." Fox News Story No, the captain's name is not Saban, and the aquatic mammal is not named Mularkey.
  7. Boo F'in Hoo Harrison got a bit of his own medicine and he's not man enough to take it. Tells you all you need to know about his integrity, or lack thereof.
  8. The furthest west the Bills will travel is CLEVELAND?!?!?!
  9. DING DING DING!!! WE HAVE A WINNER! Fletch is a great linebacker, but without DTs keeping him clean, he can't be a difference maker.
  10. Funny, I was asking myself this after the Texans and Jaguars games.
  11. Guess where we should draft?
  12. The Titan's game winning drive was, except for one short pass play, entirely on the ground. If the Bills could stop the run... different game. We got beat, and, in addition, beat ourselves. Travis > Willis
  13. Because with fewer seats, he can put in more luxury boxes, which have a bigger profit margin. Haven't you been paying attention for the last ten years?
  14. The one where we were inside our own 25 yard line in the FIRST HALF? Give me a break.
  15. Or maybe the Defense stops them and we go into halftime down by, say, 13 instead of 17? For crissakes, Roscoe was trying to make a play as time ran down. Give the guy some credit for trying to make something happen. If he sat down on his ass, you people would be cruicifying him for not trying!
  16. Right on, Bills Brother. Did anyone think, at 12:59 today, that this game would come down to an onsides kick with 30 seconds to go? If you did, I want some of what you're smoking. The Bills lost. We didn't give it away, we just lost. To a superior team, that with any justice (not to mention gift calls) will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Chill, people. We're improving. Get this team a stud DT and MLB and we'll be fine -- we probably would have won today if the run D was better.
  17. IIRC, Pennington was considered a diamond-in-the-rough around draft time. Didn't he miss his senior year, or something like that? I recall people being really high on his potential -- I'm glad to see he's realizing it.
  18. I was a bit suprised they didn't go for two after their late TD, but they were on the road, probably OK. Squib kick == Coaches out-thinking themselves.
  19. The thing about the penalty yesterday that bothered me was that they didn't penalize the Jaguars for three players doing the chest-bump thing after their first TD.
  20. Is the light starting to come on? Or are things starting to click? Not sure I've ever heard a light click, but hey, we've won two in a row, I'll cut Mr. Fletcher-Baker a break. Or give him some slack. Something like that.
  21. I was impressed with that too, but for a different reason. Yes, he trusted the defense to get the ball back, but he also had the clarity of mind to _realize_ that he could trust the defense. They were lights-out in the second half, despite getting torched in the first. A good coach can "feel" the game like this and make adjustments -- which happened in spades yesterday.
  22. Ummmm, no. JP converted a 3rd-and-10 with his legs yesterday. Bledsoe, had he tried it, would probably still be running.
  23. As they say, you're never as good as you look after a win, or as bad as you look after a loss (Chicago game excluded). We played well against a flawed team. But these kinds of games can do wonders for a team's psyche, not to mention that of the fans! Bring on the Jags!
