Does our O-Line Coach need to be replaced?
Victory Formation replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How does that work in goal line situations though? Being good between the hashes is important but when you are in the 20 and the other team knows you’re going to run the football you still need to be able to get the job done. I’d rather have 6-7 massive run blockers that can straight up overpower the other team into submission. Extra linemen, FB, two or three TEs that are skilled run blockers makes all the difference. Once again, with success in the run game, the other team still has to account for the play action. What do you take away if you’re them? Now we have multiple soft targets to attack. -
An extra second or third would go a long way for this team. I’m in favor of trading down. Time to start stockpiling picks for 2021 & 2022. Allen and Diggs are elite, both will be paid. We are missing an elite player on defense, preferably at DE but I think now is a good time to start identifying who will be paid, who we will build around and who we’ll let walk. Unfortunately, many will walk. Time to start drafting good players who will play on cheap rookie contracts. If an elite DE or TE prospect is available at 30, take him. Otherwise move down and start accumulating picks.

Does our O-Line Coach need to be replaced?
Victory Formation replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. How can you expect to have a power run game with no FB and you’re constantly in 3-4 WR sets? I think Daboll needs to add some heavier sets to his repertoire. To do that, we need better TEs. Knox is a good #2, Buffalo needs a true #1 TE to make our offense more versatile. If you can pass effectively in heavier sets, how much easier would it be to run the football? -
I think Buffalo could use another quality TE. One that can catch and block. More twin TE sets, easier to run, better personnel for run blocking with the option to pass and run the play action. Could use an elite FB. Losing Dimarco did seem to hurt the team in terms of running the football. Buffalo runs a lot of 3-4 WR sets which is not conducive to running the football. Need to start running heavier sets.

I bet Diggs will ask for a new contract

I could see another $3M-$4M more per year but I can’t imagine any more than that. -
Offseason Primer Position Group: LB

I’ll take Edmunds back at the right price.. Kid has all the potential in the world but he is struggling mentally. I would not pay premium money for him. Nor would I pay premium money for Milano. If Edmunds is willing to take a team friendly deal I’d love to have him back. If not, let him walk and pick up some compensatory picks. -
They’re probably the biggest threat we’ll face in the AFC East, there’s no doubt about it. Josh Allen masks a lot of deficiencies on this Bills team.. I think if we build a more complete team around him, we should be fine. Give Allen a running game and a stout defense and we should win the division and be right back in the playoffs next year.

Theory on why Allen struggles against KC
Victory Formation replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He had a 2:1 TD ratio, nearly 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing.. that’s not choking. Buffalo simply needs to build a more complete team. -
Which RBS do we go after this offseason?
Victory Formation replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chris Jones is probably the best DT in the league not named Aaron Donald though. -

Yes. I think Williams and Feliciano will be back but Morse is likely gone. We’ll see how deep their loyalty goes to Ford. -
How does Josh work on his nerves...?
Victory Formation replied to Adamb412's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh Allen essentially is our team. Outside of Allen there is nothing. No run game, no defense, no offense. People forget that Mahomes has an All Pro team around him, as does Brady. -
Offseason Primer Position Group: DL

Keep Oliver, Phillips, Zimmer, Epenesa and Johnson and dump the rest. Go after JJ Watt and draft a DE in the 1st or 2nd round. -

As good as our line is in pass protection, they are very underwhelming in terms of run blocking. Singletary and Moss are average but honestly I don’t think Derrick Henry would be productive here. -
Micah Hyde - surprise cap casualty?
Victory Formation replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think he’s an All Pro, I don’t think he’s a liability. If he truly is making $5M, why not keep him? -
Feliciano, Williams, McKenzie, Wallace.

So...are Edmunds and Oliver good?
Victory Formation replied to Reader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know, I’ve never been the biggest Edmunds guy, but should we single him out when virtually every player on defense has been struggling? At what point should the coaches take accountability? The scheme isn’t working. The mentality behind it sucks. Not aggressive enough, not allowing our players to be violent. -

Victory Formation replied to Reader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think our DL sucks. We need a dominant pass rusher, heck, we could use two dominant pass rushers. Edmunds is beaming with potential, some of it we may never see, but his problems are all mental. The scheme we are running absolutely does not help. These guys are stationary targets. I think Edmunds and Milano could be sufficient if they were allowed to attack more. I think allowing these guys to play downhill is a lot more of a powerful mentality to have then telling them to play 5 yards off the ball. Coaching is a major issue. -

Victory Formation replied to Reader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Edmunds problem is he’s being forced to react. They sit him in zone coverage 95% of the time. If they would allow him to attack more I think he’d be better. Mainly I think our coaching philosophy is what’s holding us back on defense. Milano and Edmunds simply let the play come to them instead of violently attacking the backfield. This is why RBs are getting 10 yards a pop instead of a 2 yard loss. Until there is a major shift in philosophy, it wouldn’t matter if we had Ray Lewis at LB. -
Brown- should they cut him?
Victory Formation replied to Aussie Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Too old.. been saying this for awhile. -
Knox is definitely worth a roster spot.. I don’t think he’ll ever a premier/elite TE though. Bills could use a Kelce/Gronk type of upgrade there.. Think if that happens our offense should be in good shape.. More twin TE sets, which is great for pounding the ball with no drop off in our passing game. I think that would clearly upgrade our running attack as well which would balance out the offense. More play action as well, which Josh thrives at. No more 10:1 passing to running ratio, need balance.
-
I think a TE would benefit us the most.. Between Diggs and Davis I think we have pretty good talent at WR.. Let McKenzie and Beasley man that slot position.. No idea what the draft board looks like at this time but I also think DE is a massive priority. I’m hoping JJ Watt gets cut and the Bills bring him in on a decent team friendly deal.. I think DE, TE and WR are our greatest priorities going into draft/free agency..

This is how rivalries are born
Victory Formation replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ultimately, we’re just not there. Allen is, but the rest of the team isn’t.
