  1. I just hope we dump just about everyone on that DL. Just take the hit now. Find some plug n play LB in free agency and just reinvigorate that DL with lots of mean n nasty talent through the draft. I don’t like Star, he’s weak. Sitting out the season costed this team big. Take the hit now, clear space for next year and extend Josh Allen. Go after a hybrid LB/S like Kyle Hamilton RD3 and just ride it out. We’ll be much better.
  2. My friend, my friend. Why do you puke at the sight of my mock?! 😆 It’s better than your mock where you take a DB at 30! Also, you know I love Zaven Collins, you know. I love Boogie #1, but Zaven Collins is my #2 guy. He would be a stud MLB. Plug Edmunds outside and go after a guy like Kyle Hamilton RD3 to play the LB/S hybrid role. I got nothing but love for you Gunner. 👍
  3. 37. Carlos Basham Jr. EDGE Wake Forest I traded down from #30 down to #37 and added a few picks. Value wasn’t matching need so I figured it’d be wise to go down and add more picks for more value. Basham has all the tools necessary to be a top flight DE in the NFL. He may not even make it this far but I know that he is a sleeper and I could get him here. He can be a 10-12 sack per year EDGE rusher if he lives up to his God given potential. 61. Hunter Long TE Boston College It seems like he has top flight potential. Seemed like a really good spot to add a quality receiver here. Good value too. Big target for Josh, should be in good shape between him and Knox. Think Sweeney may do some damage this year as well, we’ll see. Has top 10 potential. 84. Marvin Wilson DT Florida State 93. Tedarrell Slaton DT Florida I actually have Slaton above Wilson but I simply played the board. This is Sam Adams and Ted Washington all over again. These guys cannot be moved and they are decent pass rushers. May not put up gaudy numbers but they will create pressure. Between Boogie, Slaton and Wilson we would have a young and healthy DL, the sky is the limit for them. Throw them in there with Oliver and Epenesa and we got a young nuclei for dirt cheap. Dump all the expensive contracts and go for a youth movement here.
  4. Leonard Floyd would be a good pickup at the right price. $4M-$5M/yr. Not a full time starter but maybe a decent rotational guy. As far as the draft goes, it’s deeper than just an EDGE rusher being there, obviously Boogie Basham or Zaven Collins would be ideal pieces, but you could go for a LB or DT there too.. Owusu would be great, but probably gone. Could go with Jay Tufele, a very good DT prospect, can stuff the run and provide a pass rush. Can drop down even further than that and go after Tedarrell Slaton or Marvin Wilson. Basically, if the value isn’t there for us at need positions, you trade down until the value matches up. Acquire draft picks for this year and beyond.
  5. Very cool, he would be a great pickup in RD2.
  6. Especially since we rarely play man. We seem to be in zone more often than not. Correct me if I’m wrong. Think the earliest we should draft a corner is RD3. Get a big physical press corner. It wouldn’t make me break my tv. It’s not a stupid approach, but definitely not the approach I’d take.
  7. Problem I’m having is our front seven still remains in shambles. Bear with me, I just woke up and my IQ hovers around zero until I get my cigarettes and caffeine in (not much higher than it usually is when I’m caffeinated). Ultimately I think we should go DL back to back in RD1 & RD2. Ain’t it a shame that Zaven Collins is gone before we pick and obviously I’m beating the Boogie Basham drum hard but if you took him out of the equation and that was my reality at #30 and I was forced to go by your board for arguments sake, I think I’d have to go Najee Harris there. I’m very high on Jay Tufele as well, you have him at #40, which is a nice spot for him. Maybe he rises, I don’t know but I would not be against trading back and taking him at the top of RD2 or maybe even at #30, but it may make sense to wait and see if Tedarrell Slaton is there or Marvin Wilson at #61. I have Tufele considerably higher than both but Slaton and Wilson would be very good pieces on that IDL.
  8. I expect a big salary dump. Could easily see us dumping $15M-$20M in contracts.
  9. For the right price anyway. Barkley is league minimum for a reason.. Trubisky was the second overall pick at one point. Good arm, decent mobility, good size.. His issues are all mental. I think Daboll and Dorsey would provide good structure for him and I think he could win us games if Allen goes down, Barkley can’t do that.. Also think in a year or two Trubisky could get us a couple draft picks.. 2yr $10M/deal? Sure, why not?
  10. Jordan Jenkins may be a decent option, I have no idea what he’ll get but if he came at a reasonable rate I’d be pretty happy about picking him up. Wonder if there’s any budget LBs we can get in the $4M-$5M range that can offer us something like Klein from last year. Thought he did pretty well for us.. I hope Beane strikes gold again.
  11. 30. Carlos Basham Jr. EDGE Wake Forest 61. Jay Tufele DT USC Bills go DL. Basham starts immediately on the left side and Tufele is a plug and play player at DT next to Ed Oliver.
  12. I absolutely understand what you’re getting at. I do think it’s important. We need a better OL and we need a more violent and aggressive front seven. In my mind, you go pass rush at #30. At #61 I think you can do a myriad of different things here. Could go DT, could go LB, could go corner even. Need more OL help for sure, but shall we cut Morse or let Feliciano and Williams walk when our defensive front seven is in tatters? I think not. At this point we are begging for Ford to turn into a big nasty guard. Could add depth on the OL RDs 3-7.
  13. Give me JJ Watt Darryl Williams Jon Feliciano Mitchell Trubisky Think Watt could explode for a monster year and his tag isn’t as steep and our investment is noncommittal. Darryl Williams and Jon Feliciano should be retained. Both are solid players and bring stability to the OL. No brainer, bring them back. Mitchell Trubisky would be a great two year rental. Can be rehabilitated, can become a starter in this league. Daboll and Dorsey can help this kid out, would be a very good option behind Allen. Deal him for picks in the future.
  14. No thank you. Seems very stiff. Not a big fan.
  15. @GunnerBill @NewEra It’s all good. All I ask is that you guys show me some love after Boogie rises up boards after the Combine or after the Bills draft him! 😆
  16. It’s all good my friend. I get grief for saying it. I’m not going to change my mind 100 times between now and draft day. Boogie is my guy and I’m sticking to it. I expect him to perform big at the Combine. Will rise. Obviously I absolutely love Owusu and Collins as well and a strong case can be made for Najee Harris also if you look at it from a certain POV. That’s about where I’m at right now. Hoping for a stud OL somewhere in the second.. Maybe Creed Humphrey, maybe Liam Eichenberg, we’ll see.
  17. Honestly. I love what Barkley did to help Allen, to me that is immeasurable. Would he give us a better chance to win over Tyrod, Fitzpatrick or Trubisky? Absolutely not. My ideal backup would be Trubisky. I think Daboll and Dorsey could fix this kid and maybe we’d be looking at compensation in a few years. Put him on a winning team, with winning coaches, lots of help, I think he could become a starting quality QB here eventually. Trade for picks in a few years.
  18. He was great at the Senior Bowl, will rise. I think he’ll perform well at the Combine as well. Look at his tape, tell me he’s not explosive. Can play inside or out. Put him at LE and Epenesa on the right, much better than Phillips.
  19. No, thanks. I want Boogie Basham, better everything.
  20. In 5th grade I was forced to play against 7th and 8th graders because of my size, was very good. They had to shut a game down early one time because I got so many sacks that they were scared their QB was going to get hurt. I played DT and wore #78. I got a bad, like really bad concussion because the coach was a moron and had us running a dangerous drill in which his son, the RB went around head butting everyone as hard as he could while we were standing in a circle. There was no way I could ever go pro. I knew this early on. Pretty smart for a 10-11 year old kid. Even at that young age I saw some really bad injuries, knew I wasn’t good enough to do anything with it, moved on. No point in wrecking your body over some dumb BS. The CTE stuff wasn’t out yet, but when you get your bell rung as bad as I did, you just knew there was going to be consequences going forward if I continued to play football. Years later my High school coach wanted me to join the team, never did. Was just a big kid who really loved lifting weights. He actually played pro for the Rams and Eagles. Very nice guy. VERY big dude.
  21. How many teams even run the 3-4 these days anyways? Regardless he had 4 interceptions last year. Makes more sense for him to drop 5-10lbs than gain 10-15. I don’t think he has the bend to be a pure DE, but he has pretty decent quickness and awareness to do well in zone. He has great power, so I think if you do blitz him and he has a few steps to accelerate he could easily bulldoze linemen and get by them with sheer power. Obviously I’m not shy when it comes to Boogie, he is my best case scenario as I think he will be the best EDGE in the draft but Zaven Collins is my second guy right behind him.. Think Collins will be a very good OLB in the NFL, much better than Milano. Both players are projected to go within that same range.. Late 1st, early to mid 2nd. Boogie is more of a pure pass rusher and I put emphasis on that position but if Boogie is gone, I want Zaven Collins.
  22. I like him too. He has Shaq Barrett like potential and he’s better than most people think in coverage. Some view him as a tweener in this defense with no real position but I think they’re wrong. Probably my second favorite option for us with that first pick.
  23. Could be, but at this point his contract is palatable. Think you add a couple guys in the draft and let them compete. Can typically find good IL prospects in the bottom of second and top of the third. Good tackle prospects are hard to come by unless you take one in the first or top of the second. Think you re-sign Daryl Williams and add an interior lineman in the second. Should be loaded with talent, although thinner at tackle than we’d like. Hopefully we can add a project to groom behind Dawkins and Williams.
  24. 30. Carlos Basham Jr. EDGE Wake Forest 61. Creed Humphrey OC Oklahoma • Carlos Basham would be a Day 1 starter. You plug him in at LE, Epenesa goes to the right side. Hopefully we restructure Jerry Hughes and perhaps sign a guy like JJ Watt to come in and compete for a year or two while also mentoring the young guys. • Creed Humphrey is a very good interior line prospect. I’m a firm believer in building through the trenches. Could very well be a Pro Bowl guard or center, great run blocker and pass protector. Good talent and depth between Ford, Morse, Feliciano and Humphrey. Becomes a high end starter by the end of the year at either guard or center. A+ talent.
