Which RBS do we go after this offseason?
Victory Formation replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. I think Williams and Feliciano will be back but Morse is likely gone. We’ll see how deep their loyalty goes to Ford. -
How does Josh work on his nerves...?
Victory Formation replied to Adamb412's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh Allen essentially is our team. Outside of Allen there is nothing. No run game, no defense, no offense. People forget that Mahomes has an All Pro team around him, as does Brady. -
Offseason Primer Position Group: DL
Victory Formation replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Keep Oliver, Phillips, Zimmer, Epenesa and Johnson and dump the rest. Go after JJ Watt and draft a DE in the 1st or 2nd round. -

As good as our line is in pass protection, they are very underwhelming in terms of run blocking. Singletary and Moss are average but honestly I don’t think Derrick Henry would be productive here. -
Micah Hyde - surprise cap casualty?
Victory Formation replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think he’s an All Pro, I don’t think he’s a liability. If he truly is making $5M, why not keep him? -
Feliciano, Williams, McKenzie, Wallace.

So...are Edmunds and Oliver good?
Victory Formation replied to Reader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know, I’ve never been the biggest Edmunds guy, but should we single him out when virtually every player on defense has been struggling? At what point should the coaches take accountability? The scheme isn’t working. The mentality behind it sucks. Not aggressive enough, not allowing our players to be violent. -

I think our DL sucks. We need a dominant pass rusher, heck, we could use two dominant pass rushers. Edmunds is beaming with potential, some of it we may never see, but his problems are all mental. The scheme we are running absolutely does not help. These guys are stationary targets. I think Edmunds and Milano could be sufficient if they were allowed to attack more. I think allowing these guys to play downhill is a lot more of a powerful mentality to have then telling them to play 5 yards off the ball. Coaching is a major issue. -

Edmunds problem is he’s being forced to react. They sit him in zone coverage 95% of the time. If they would allow him to attack more I think he’d be better. Mainly I think our coaching philosophy is what’s holding us back on defense. Milano and Edmunds simply let the play come to them instead of violently attacking the backfield. This is why RBs are getting 10 yards a pop instead of a 2 yard loss. Until there is a major shift in philosophy, it wouldn’t matter if we had Ray Lewis at LB. -
Brown- should they cut him?
Victory Formation replied to Aussie Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Too old.. been saying this for awhile. -
Knox is definitely worth a roster spot.. I don’t think he’ll ever a premier/elite TE though. Bills could use a Kelce/Gronk type of upgrade there.. Think if that happens our offense should be in good shape.. More twin TE sets, which is great for pounding the ball with no drop off in our passing game. I think that would clearly upgrade our running attack as well which would balance out the offense. More play action as well, which Josh thrives at. No more 10:1 passing to running ratio, need balance.

I think a TE would benefit us the most.. Between Diggs and Davis I think we have pretty good talent at WR.. Let McKenzie and Beasley man that slot position.. No idea what the draft board looks like at this time but I also think DE is a massive priority. I’m hoping JJ Watt gets cut and the Bills bring him in on a decent team friendly deal.. I think DE, TE and WR are our greatest priorities going into draft/free agency..

This is how rivalries are born
Victory Formation replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ultimately, we’re just not there. Allen is, but the rest of the team isn’t. -
Played scared on defense
Victory Formation replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They don’t have an aggressive mentality. They have a victims mentality. They passively sit back and react instead of attacking the offense. Some of our problem is personnel, most of it is philosophy. I don’t think Frazier is going anywhere but I hope he grows a pair in terms of play calling. -
I'm heartbroken. Words of comfort?

Tony Romo was talking? Didn’t hear em. Must’ve been because of my dad screaming all game. -

You’re going to make it man. -
Ya know, for a “Master Strategist” you’d think that a superb coach like Leslie Frazier could get more out of an overpaid DL such as ours. Butler, Addison, Jefferson, Hughes, Epenesa, Oliver and Murphy etc.. At what point is it about the coaching scheme/philosophy and not the players?

As far as I’m concerned, Lotulelei can go. By him sitting out we’ve lacked a space eater all year. Don’t give me the COVID nonsense. You can get COVID on the football field and you can get it at a restaurant eating out with family. Nonsense..
-
Problem with our defense is that they’re stationary targets, they sit back and react. I think our defense needs to be more aggressive and attack. Take the fight to them. Outside of that tremendous hit by Poyer our defense played as targets when in all actuality, being aggressive and attacking is a much more powerful mindset for our players to be in. Very soft game plan defensively.

I understand, I was talking long term.

Boettger has been better than Ford.. I can’t deny that, but is he so much better that you could justify paying him 5-6x more than Ford? I think not.. Ford is signed to a very cheap contract and his ceiling is higher.. By all means, draft an interior lineman RDs 1-3 to push him and to keep him as insurance.. preferably a center that can also play guard.. but don’t forget that Ryan Bates also looked good in limited time when he saw the field.. It comes down to Feliciano and Daryl Williams vs Boettger.. And I think Williams should be the #1 priority.. Feliciano #2... Boettger #3..
-
I’m not so worried about Moss and Singletary.. they’re serviceable.. This offense goes through Allen.. as it should.. I’d rather sure up that OL.. If Buffalo truly wanted to add another RB, I think we could use a Kamara/McCaffery style RB - someone who can catch 60-65+ passes a year..
