The Bills number one nemesis is that they do not have a stout interior. When you factor that in with the fact that our LBs for the most part seem adept in pass coverage and not run support, I think you have a problem. And I wish they’d put Groot in at LB more often, mainly to shadow the power run teams of the NFL that we’ve seemingly so often faced. They did it before but I wish they’d start doing it again. Also, why not blitz him after the QB more often from the LB position? It’s essentially like sending three EDGEs after the QB at once. Also, where’s the love for my boy Boogie? Dude has gotten like 1.5 sacks so far in like 30 snaps. Give the guy a chance.

Don’t get me started. We should have never lost the Jags game, the officiating that game was completely unacceptable. It’s funny because I watched a couple YouTube videos from fans who say that the NFL is fixed. They seem to think that the players are involved too but I do not. The referees on the other hand? It would not surprise me. At times it feels like they put their entire life’s savings on Vegas odds, it wouldn’t surprise me, but anyways I’m sure we’ll get screwed on a couple calls. I suppose the outcome of the game will depend on the severity of how many times we get screwed on those calls. If we get like 10-11 penalties for 150 yards we’re done.

Running the ball is more predicated on the integrity of your OL and coaching schemes. Say what you wilt about Wyatt Teller but he has become an elite guard in Cleveland and Quinton Spain has done well for himself in Cincinnati. Both of these guys are superior to Ike Boettger, Feliciano and Ford. Why were they let go? Why are they having compelling success elsewhere? I also vehemently disagree with the fact that we went into the season with what we had at TE and FB. Knox is the only good one in the bunch. Ertz should have been traded for or Hollister should have been retained at the very least. Keeping 7 WRs was a mistake, it vastly hurt our running game. We now find ourselves with the inability to run in goal line and short yardage situations. Twin TE packages, big formations and goal line formations have suffered as a result, which obviously has put an enormous amount of pressure on Josh Allen, more than there needs to be anyways. As far as RB goes, I am neither for nor against one in the 1st or 2nd round, but I am ultimately aware that one should not be taken unless your OL is resolved and the idea of extending one past the length of their rookie contract makes me nauseous. Taking a RB that high should be the final piece, the missing piece or the cherry on top the sundae. Put a good RB behind a bad OL and he’s going to break down very quick.

Honestly, I am surprised. Mahomes has shown us this year that he actually is human. I think the issue more or less resides in the fact that most NFL teams are moving more towards a power run game while also stopping the run on defense. Passing the ball is great, having a great QB will forever be the most important factor in terms of success as an NFL franchise but if your team is one dimensional, your QB is going to have to be an extraordinary player to overcome the deficiencies in your team every week. I think Buffalo has similar issues as Kansas City. I think we were built to stop them but unfortunately we weren’t built to stop power run teams. I think if Buffalo also had a powerful running attack, things wouldn’t revolve around Josh Allen all of the time which could be a good thing. Regardless, I think the Bills like the Chiefs need to strike more balance on offense and defense for consistent results.

This is why I want a dome. I will leave my false bravado at the door. I am old, my bones hurt and I don’t want to freeze my ass off for four hours next to drunken idiots.

Yes. The Bills are a better team than the Pats but the Pats are far and away the better coached team. The awareness of their players is incredible. They have a rookie QB and yet they find themselves at the top of the division. Put Josh Allen in New England and I bet Belichick wins another 6-7 Super Bowls. If Buffalo loses the division to the Patriots I will probably go into a major depression. Seriously? A rookie QB outdoing arguably a top 5 QB in Allen? Despicable.

Josh Allen #10 on NFL Top 100

How good is it to have a QB that’s lumped in with Mahomes, Brady and Rodgers? -
I was born in Buffalo but I moved away right after preschool to Virginia, spent some time there before eventually settling down in CNY. I’ve visited Buffalo a dozen or so times over the years and although I never really lived there for an extended period of time, I always considered Buffalo home. I’ve eaten at many pizzerias in Buffalo over the years. I was always blown away by Bocces, Blasdell’s and Bella’s. By far much better pizza than I have had access to over the years. I ate at Duff’s before but I wasn’t really impressed. I will say this though. As far as this list is concerned, there are two places I would like to visit one day and that’s Anchor Bar and The Big Tree Inn. Obviously Anchor Bar was essentially the place that put Buffalo on the map as far as wings are concerned, they’re the original wing place, it all started there so I hope one day I can visit Anchor Bar. Then there’s Big Tree Inn which is notorious for hosting Bills players, so I would love to see how that bar is set up and I wonder what they’re menu looks like. These two places in my mind are historic as far as the city of Buffalo is concerned.

I think he’s the next Fitzmagic is more accurate. -
Joe B's 53 man roster prediction
Victory Formation replied to Kwai San's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m sorry, but with no Hollister, this list has no credibility. And 8 WRs? I don’t even care to read the rest of this list. -
I’m just so sick of football being politicized. First it was the kneel down, now covid. Regardless of where you stand or which side you take, I just want the arguing to stop. I wish we could just get back to football again.

I’m hoping he doesn’t have to start and I’m hoping we extend for a few more years next offseason.

Baldinger Breakdown of Bills D Line from game 2

Imagine Groot, Boogie, Oliver and Epenesa rushing the QB together in obvious passing situations. -
Well, unfortunately the virus can be passed along by people who are vaccinated, but the main problem are unvaccinated players may face is that their symptoms will be more severe if they get COVID. It’s a personal decision, I refuse to judge someone if they did or didn’t get it. I’m hoping this darn thing doesn’t mutate again.

Baldinger Breakdown of Bills D Line from game 2

It’s nice to see my boy Boogie getting some love. I was more surprised that Groot is as good as he is, I always expected Basham to be good. Then you add Epenesa into the mix and this DL is trouble. We have great depth at one of the most important positions in football, it’s going to be hard to pay all these guys in a few years. -
The 2nd best team in the AFC East is…

My gut feeling is the Dolphins will collapse. I think the Patriots will come in 2nd, likely by 3-4 games behind the Bills. -

Tell Me About Average Bills Fans
Victory Formation replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It depends on what time of the year it is. I come here regularly, but during parts of the offseason where nothing particularly interesting is going on, I stay away. -
Pats trade Sony Michel to Rams
Victory Formation replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I knew it was a mistake right away when the Pats took Michel over Chubb. You know, for such an ingenious coaching staff and I mean that with sincerity, I wondered what was going on in their mind when they took Michel over Chubb. It made no sense to me at all. -
Football fans are back in Pittsburgh (fight)
Victory Formation replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There should be lifetime bans doled out for fans who not only fight in the stadium, but in the parking lot too. This is unacceptable and should never happen.
