  1. Thank you for the correction, sir.
  2. Elite players matter, especially within key nucleus positions amongst the team. With that said, you can’t pay 53 players elite money, a balance must be struck between key role players/system players and between your elite players.
  3. I will crush you in Madden, punk.
  4. I don’t know. If I’m a player and I’ve caught a thousand balls or tackled someone a thousand times and I’m being told what to do by someone who never played the game, that’s infuriating.
  5. You judge a tree by its fruit.. Players they’ve worked with and developed.. Where their units ranked in the league statistically.. Coaches they’ve worked with.. Experience etc..
  6. Maybe Bennett or Martin get hired on as QB coach/passing game coordinator? 🤔
  7. I’m white, but 70% of all NFL players are black. So if I’m an owner, or a GM, or a coach and I wanted to hire somebody with not only coaching experience, but playing experience also, it would make sense to at least interview some people who are black. As far as women coaching? Get out of here. I don’t mean to be chauvinistic about it, but we all know the truth for what it is.
  8. This is so freaking cool that we’re looking at minority candidates. I think I like Bennett more than Martin, but wow, these interviews are so way out of left field, but in a really good way. I’m happy with either, honestly.
  9. The only thing that would scare me is if he brought the RPO with him. I wouldn’t mind seeing us do it 5-6x a game, but not too much ‘cause I don’t want to see Allen get hurt. It DOES look like he had two great seasons with Darnold at USC as well. 57:22 TD/INT ratio. So that’s a plus. Darnold was drafted high. Also, he worked with Harbaugh in Baltimore and he worked with Vrabel in Tennessee, so he has exposure to some great coaches. This guy isn’t just some “Rooney rule” candidate. He’s a legit coach in his own right, not just because of the color of his skin. He’s legitimately a good coach. Anyways, God bless him, we’re off to a good start. I’m encouraged by this.
  10. From what I see on wiki, he was the OC/WR coach for 3 years at USC. He’s worked with some great coaches, the Bills could do a lot worse. I can’t say for sure whether I would hire him or not until I see the other candidates.
  11. I am so glad the Chiefs are out!
  12. After taking a gander through spotrac, this is my short list of FAs that I liked. Didn’t spend too much time with it. Here’s some guys I like, in no particular order. • Chris Godwin, WR (Torn ACL, one of the best WRs in the league. Would he take a 1 year prove it deal and play with one of the best QBs in the league? 🤔 • Zach Ertz, TE (Older veteran. Passes are limited in AZ. Would he sign a modest 2 year deal to compete for a Lombardi?) • Mark Glowinski, OG (I’ve always been impressed by him. He’s a bit older, Indy can’t afford to pay two top OGs money, can they?) • Christian Kirk, WR (Solid WR, I think he adds a top tier target for Allen. Possible replacement for Cole?) • Stephon Gilmore, CB (I don’t think he gets the money he seeks. Veteran presence at CB? Would he come back to where it all started? Could fill in for Tre if he’s not back from his ACL injury.)
  13. It’s extremely difficult, make no bones about it. When you have a mammoth receiver like Kelce, Pitts and Andrews, they’re open even when they’re not open. It’s hard for a 5’10 DB to cover a guy that’s half a foot taller. Complete mismatch nightmare.
  14. Yep, I can’t say I disagree with you. NT is a huge need, but based off of what I know about this draft it seems that it’s very deep at CB and WR. So in my mind, go where the talent is at. I think WR is a sneaky need for this team. In my mind, both Beasley and McKenzie are gone (Sanders too), so we need to add a couple bodies here. Getting Josh more weapons is our #1 priority. I’m not trying to be so blasé about NT, but I think getting Josh another playmaker would help this team more than a good NT ever could and good NTs can be found RD3 and beyond.
  15. I would hate to argue with your list of needs, but I think I would go WR RD2 right after we go CB RD1. Other than that, I can’t say I really disagree with you.
  16. Good enough in what respect? Good in an arbitrary sense? Good as a feature back? I don’t see things so much in white or black, more so in shades of gray (please no 50 shades of gray jokes here), but is he “good enough” as far as the spectrum of good and bad RBs in the NFL goes? Yes. Absolutely. Even if Beane found us a “feature back”, Devin Singletary would be an A+ backup and worth keeping. He’s certainly better than Moss. Is Moss worth keeping? That’s the real question.
  17. You make a GOOD point and I can’t say I disagree in any way, he must pass a physical. With that said, I would offer them a 4th, if they want a 1st, I would offer them a conditional 3rd that can become a 2nd so long as he stays healthy for X amount of games. That absolutely would have to be built into the contractual language.
  18. We can always get him back in two years when he is relieved of his head coaching duties for the Giants.
  19. I absolutely hate to say this, I am beyond mortified and repulsed by saying this.. but it has to be a CB RD1.. and I’m equally repulsed and disgusted by saying that we may need to even double dip as high as RD3.. • Strong draft for CBs. • TreDavious is coming off an ACL. • Wallace and Jackson are nice depth pieces, but not starters. • We need some serious help shutting down Kelce and Hill.
  20. Brady had better targets than you think. Even in Tampa Bay, when both Godwin and Evans were out, they lost 9-0 to the Saints of all teams.
  21. Dude, teams stacked like 20 million guys in the box against him, yet the NYG still gave the poor dude like 50 carries a game. Poor guy, any RB is going to get killed in that situation. Thank the Lord that Gettleman passed on Josh Allen for Barkley, but with all due respect though, Barkley was a very rare prospect at RB, very well deserving of being a top 10 pick. Barkley could very well have a renaissance period here, but would Daboll give him up? I think not.
  22. My friend, I made a thread about this months ago and I got torched for this. Your timing is a bit better than mine, that’s for darn sure. Anyways, Saquan could have an impact on this team the way Shady did, I feel that strongly about it. Except instead of having Tyrod Taylor at QB we’d have Josh Allen. Saquan would easily be a feature back here and he would actually have lanes to go through because of our passing attack and with Singletary backing him up it could get really really scary for defenses. I think the highest I would go for Saquan is a conditional 3rd that can become a 2nd if certain benchmarks are hit and also if Barkley would sign a long term contract with us. The only reason he failed with the Giants is because their offense was built like it was from the early 1900s and also because Dan Jones sucks. He was fine and showed lots of promise when Eli was QB. Yes please.
  23. I would offer them a 4th. 1 year left on his deal, big salary, had a down year, but yes, for the right price I would be interested.
  24. Agreed. People can say what they want about O’Brien but Deshaun Watson developed rather nicely under him in Houston. He also runs the same offense we’re running now. Coached under Belichick and Saban.. Sound familiar? Way more polished as a coach than Daboll ever was, much better credentials too.
