If sex between Araiza and the 17 year old was consensual, I personally would not press charges unless Araiza was aware that he had an STD before relations. That has to be a crime.

Why would you take the word of the accused over said victim when the accused demonstrated unethical and unquestionably immoral behavior to begin with?

Of course it proves guilt! The man slept with a woman whilst he had an STD. You certainly cannot trust his character at this point unless he was unaware that he had an STD in the first place.

Innocent until proven guilty indeed. But should we trust the innocence of a man who knowingly gave a woman an STD?

I think it’s great that you point that out Simon, because that shows malicious intent and bad moral character. So if we put two and two together here, Matt Araiza is pond scum.

Legality does not constitute morality. Do you think it’s okay for a 70 year old to be involved with a 19 year old? It’s legal, but is it moral? My true feelings are simple. Araiza was 21, she was 17 and he thought she was 18, that does not make Araiza a predator in my eyes, BUT if this man is knowingly implicit in any way whether directly or indirectly in terms of this young girls rape, he should be charged with the fullest extent of the law.

Araiza was not an NFL player at that point so there was zero room for financial gain, so why go to the police?

My friend, I cannot spend 20 minutes reading through this. It’s better to say many things with few words than it is to say very little with many words. In response to your thread though and in respects to Allen and Dorsey, I will say this. I hope that Allen reaches a point where he is like Brady and Manning and he calls all the plays and our offense goes through him. It may take some more development before that happens though, but I think he’s getting there.

This totally works to her benefit though and I am very happy that it does. Had this been public back in October, Araiza would have never of been drafted. Now she can go after his rookie bonus/gtd money.
