Love Allen too, I just think Peterman won the job, much of what I said wasn't really opinion based at all, just factual observations. Allen will eventually win the job, no doubt but Peterman is better at this point.

So why even have the preseason then? It means nothing according to you. McD should have just forfeited all our games.

But Peterman has made the most out of every opportunity, he can't change the fact that he was 2nd string. He is considerably better this year, we were talking about placing him on the PS last year, now we are talking about starting him. Somebody started a thread 4 weeks ago about Peterman winning the job week 1, I thought the OP was high on crack, but now, holy crap he was right. I thought this guy was going to get cut, but the guy beat out McCarron and the 7th overall pick, he earned the job fair and square.

The Bengals seemed pretty serious to me, the 3rd preseason game of the year is usually very telling.

Peterman is not the same guy though, he is on fire, completely different QB, drastically improved.

Truth. I love love love what Peterman has done but you're absolutely right though but the guy absolutely has maximized his talent quite admirably. Peterman is Chad Pennington Jr., can absolutely be effective in the right offense and I am tickled by his progress, glad he is on the roster, what a great guy to have in the film room teaching Josh Allen, too bad he doesn't have a bigger arm.

True. If you tailor an offense to his strengths though he can be a very very good backup QB.

His arm will stop him from being a starting NFL QB long term but I think he is going to be in the NFL for a long long time.

The thing with Peterman is his timing, he has an impeccable sense of knowing where his receivers will be in their routes and that's extremely important. Allen isn't there yet, I think he will be someday but he rifles balls in late because the game hasn't slowed down enough yet, not ready yet.

Murphy looked good, Ivory had a nice power run too. I really like our running backs, Peterman should go in as the starter. I'm a big big big fan of Josh Allen but the team responded to Peterman.

I think we'll see a healthier dose of run plays in particular. Our line seems to run block better than pass block and I think Peterman can get that ball out quick enough to mitigate some of our pass blocking deficiencies. We have all our picks next year and tons of cap space, I think the prognosis is very good.

I believe we did not show our hand at all. We were calling such a vanilla offense and defense all game, it is going to be so much different week 1. I doubt we have any hope at the playoffs but I think we have QB1 and QB2 figured out for quite awhile. Allen will be fine and I am thrilled with Peterman. A position we struggled to fill for 20 years is finally starting to look fine.

Allen will win the job eventually, he is very very smart like Peterman except he has a golden arm but the game needs to slow down for him. Keep in mind that Peterman has a year on him, but eventually Allen catches up. I'm really really pleased with Peterman's progress though, he is an ideal backup QB.

Sacked 5 times, you don't do that to a project QB. Peterman can be an NFL coach after his career if he wants, he has a weak arm but extremely smart and a fast release.

It looks like the game has slowed down for Peterman, he is a different player this year. If we start Allen we will ruin him. In my opinion of course.

I think between Allen and Peterman we will find a franchise QB, maybe even two.

I've been in the mental hospital before, I've seen people who knew things about me that I have not told anyone, things that science cannot explain. When I see babies being drowned in bathtubs or people going on massacres I 100% believe that person is possessed by demons, these tragedies are the work of evil.

People question the Bible, oh it's just an ancient myth blah blah blah. Let me say this, if this doesn't prove the existence of Satan and his demons, I don't know what does. It's not all mental health impairments, there is a spiritual battle going on inside these shooters. I'm praying for all those who are involved.

Dalton is a class act, God I love that guy, knew he was going to be a good NFL QB since TCU! GO BENGALS!

For me it's pushing the ball down field, airing it out and taking care of the football. Open up the running game underneath.

Allen is bound to have a few stinkers, I know he has impressed a lot of people and turned many doubters into loyalists, but let's pump the brakes a little bit, we are very high on him, let's go into this season knowing there will be ups and downs. I only care if the trajectory is headed upward.

I don't think he's a good coach at all.
