How close is Allen to Mahomes if all things were equal?
Victory Formation replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Allen and Mahomes are in their own echelon. I mean, you could probably argue that Burrow and Jackson belong in that group, but in my mind, not really. Allen vs Mahomes is the new Brady vs Manning. -
Close your eyes McDermott haters…he’s a top 10 HC

I don’t drink beer so you’ll have to settle for a like instead. Hopefully we have more luck this year. -

Victory Formation replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Those days are gone. Back in the early 2000s-present the NFL became all about having a franchise QB. There used to be shutdown corners like Blount, Sanders, Law, Revis and Sherman that could take over a game but I’m struggling to see any true shutdown CBs today. I’m not saying they’re not out there but just not as common. Having a good defense and an elite running attack used to get you in the Playoffs 15, 20, 30 years ago.. but not today. If you have a franchise QB, having those things will certainly give you an edge, but you can’t rely on these things solely anymore to make a deep run but it’s very helpful if you have a legit QB. Having a true franchise kicker is also a game changer as well.. Someone that can nail kicks 45-50 yards out like clockwork.. Some games you can get 9-12 points from FGs alone. -

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - A Roster for McDermott to Work With
Victory Formation replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
There’s so many unknown variables at this point, at least in a positive sense I think. I could probably list at least a dozen players that are on their rookie contracts or perhaps on their second contract at the very least who may step up and be major contributors for this team. We also have many high picks for next year’s Draft as well. There’s been an obvious youth movement on this team, it’s an exciting time to be a Bills fan. -
Keon Coleman is so slow, I saw Rich Eisen giving him pointers after his 40.

Keon Slowman is so slow, that when it came to determining his jersey number he used long division.

Josh Allen: which ways will he struggle and shine?
Victory Formation replied to ryguy101's topic in The Stadium Wall
First off, I think that Josh Allen is the best QB in the league. I don’t think he’s reached his full potential, I think he’s a generational talent and there’s never been another player like him. He’s a cross between Elway, Favre, Young and Vick and I think he will eventually be good enough to be Patrick Mahomes Daddy. What can he improve upon? 1.) Takes too many big hits a.) Will blow a knee out or have CTE issues if he keeps this up. b.) Unfortunately Allen plays better after a defender cleans his clock out. 2.) Refining mechanics a.) Throwing motion. b.) Touch passes c.) WR screens, wheel routes and deep balls. d.) Too much mustard on some of his throws, the guy can break fingers if he puts too much on it. 3.) Tactician a.) We no longer have Diggs. Allen must spread the ball around to get the job done. Must get everyone involved. b.) Continue to grow mentally and that’s not to say Allen is lacking here it’s just a natural progression for any player to make, especially if he wants to experience longevity as a player. 4.) Rhythm passer a.) He gets hot and cold. 5.) Be a leader a.) Allen is one of the older guys on this team now. It’s his team now. A lot of older players were shown the door this offseason. -
Keon Coleman is so slow, his parents made him wear his football helmet every time he rode his bicycle.

One thing that I find amusing about this whole situation is that Buffalo does not have an elite WR on our roster, (like you eluded to earlier in your post). We do have 5-6 players however that are good situational players. Instead of Allen mindlessly throwing the ball to Diggs, we get to see Allen the tactician which should be fun to watch. I will admit that I did not like the Coleman pick but I will also sheepishly admit that I’ve been dead wrong on players before as well. By all accounts Coleman is impressing many folks by the way he studies and his solid work ethic. Would it surprise you if Samuel, Shakir or Coleman had a big year? As far as double dipping goes, I wouldn’t have minded it, but Beane arguably had his best Draft outside of the 2018 Draft where he took Josh Allen. He deserves the benefit of the doubt. He traded down and got rid of a tremendous cancer to this team while socking away multiple high draft picks for the future of our team. For once we don’t have rely on the arm of Josh Allen to win football games.

Name one player you hope you are wrong about...
Victory Formation replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope I am wrong about Dawson Knox. He’s a player that I loved early on but I’ve soured out on over the last year or so. He’s a great player when he’s healthy, but if he has another bad year I think we’ll be forced to move on from him I’m afraid. -
Josh Allen will have to spread the ball around to get the most out of this group. I think if Shakir and Coleman step up we are more than fine at WR. I think Samuel will have his best season as a pro, as he’s more of a known commodity at this point. I think between them and Kincaid, Knox, Cook and Davis we have a pretty good group.

Von Miller ready to prove the critics wrong
Victory Formation replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Von would have to have a tremendous season for him to be a Bill at this time next year. We have an out in his contract after this season.
