Think it’s the OL — not the RBs.. I’d argue that drafting a center would be more important than a TE.. Doubt Mitch Morse is here next year and Feliciano is a better guard than a center.. 1st - Center 2nd - MLB 3rd - NT There’s other needs on defense.. I certainly feel you draft a few corners and a safety as well... but I’m higher on Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson than most.. Think if we added a true MLB to pair with Edmunds and Klein we’d be fine... Klein is not going anywhere, his contract is such that there’s no way out.. Milano I’d let walk unless he comes back on a cheap prove it deal... At NT/DT I’m relieved to know that Star is coming back.. but we could use another NT to plug in next to him.. Could use a Ted Washington/Pat Williams style DT to pair with him and I think our running woes would be gone.. Then there’s FB and TE — which I think is highly relevant to our lack of running game.. No FB this year has hurt us.. Poor blocking out of our TEs hurt us.. Lee Smith should see more playing time as a result of that reality.. He’s probably our best run blocker out of all the TEs.. Knox hasn’t provided much as a blocker nor as a receiver.. maybe activate Sweeney at this point.. I could see TE being addressed somewhere in the draft and free agency.. I like the idea of running three TE sets and pounding the ball the way San Fran does.. So I would encourage Beane to add TEs who can really block well.. WR — Could definitely use another one.. perhaps a speed guy in the mold of Mecole Hardman.. An elite return man who can stretch the field vertically.. an heir to replace Brown one day perhaps? Don’t think we have as many holes as people think.. but we definitely need to draft very well in 2021 if we want to have a shot at a Championship next year..

Could be a myriad of reasons for that.. injuries, better matchups vs that team per se but not against others, clever game planning that masked lesser talent, surprise etc.. I don’t think New England was prepared for the Bills to run the ball.. I think they expected more of an aerial attack.. Their packages weren’t aimed at stopping the run but to stop the pass.. Think a few spots on our OL need to be upgraded before we experience more consistent success.. Maybe going without a FB was detrimental to our run game? Maybe we need better blocking from our WRs and TEs too? Regardless, the Bills rely on the pass to establish the run... and not the run to establish the pass.. Which can be a problem for a play action QB like Allen.. think in order to be a juggernaut, we must do both.. I do think Singletary and Moss are both very good backs.. I don’t think they’re the problem at all..

Well.. we haven’t done it consistently.. here we are 10 games into the season and we still haven’t got anything on the ground going at all.. Singletary and Moss combined are still well short of a 1,000 yards.. Feel like if it were going to happen it’d have happened by now..

I think with a run game Josh would be even more deadly.. Josh is one of the best play action QBs in the league yet we have no running game.. Don’t think we have the personnel to be a good run team yet.. OL needs to be retooled, could use better blocking out of our TEs and could maybe benefit from adding a stud FB.. we’ll see..

I sure hope so.. I think they’ve been over performing.. You’d hope that their rookie QB plays like a rookie QB and they come back down to earth a little.. Definitely think what they’re doing is not sustainable... we’ll see..

For the most part, I agree.. Steelers are the only team that scares me although the 49ers do have a stacked roster and would probably be doing a lot better had they not of had so many injuries.. Those two games will be difficult for Allen, wouldn’t circle wins down there yet.. The rest of them are winnable.. I’m thinking we go 4-2 the rest of the way.. should win the AFCE, hopefully Miami lays a few stinkers..

Cole Beasley has to be one of the best slot WRs in the league.. Very clutch in the 4th qtr as well..

The cap is lowering in 2021 because of lost revenue.. You should expect the Bills to dump salary next offseason... think we’re over the cap by quite a bit..

Well.. I think if you can’t run the traditional way then you need to utilize almost a WCO approach to running the football.. I love some of the escort plays that Daboll has drawn up.. Dumping the ball off quickly to WRs and having 3 OL in front of them paving the way against helpless DBs and LBs... Probably do more jet sweeps to WRs not named Isaiah McKenzie... More draw plays.. more short throws to our RBs, screens and maybe even empty sets where Allen can hit Moss or Singletary for a quick gain..

With Morse — you’re absolutely right, he should go! $11M/yr for an average center who can’t get push in the run game with extensive medical issues?? Yeah, he’s as good as gone.. Cody Ford on the other hand, he’s making $1.3M/yr and he has the strength and power to be a very good guard.. he can also play RT if say Daryl Williams were to get injured.. I see absolutely no good coming out of it if we cut Ford, no good at all. Feliciano and Williams need to be retained... they’re both very good at what they do.. I would offer Feliciano the same contract Spain got... Daryl Williams on the other hand I’d offer $10M a year.. either way, I think these two must be retained for various reasons... 1. Allen is our franchise QB — he needs to be protected at all costs. 2. We’re maybe one or two OL away from having a dominant line that can pound the ball. 3. It’s harder for us to draft offense than it is defense.. McD can find defensive talent all throughout the draft.. OL though? Not as good..

Ya know.. I really like Epenesa.. I think he was a good pick and I still think he was a good pick.. He’ll be a 8-10 sack per year kind of guy while stuffing the run.. I’m excited for him, probably a lot more excited than most but I think he’ll be good, real good! White is another guy I still like.. sure he’s made a few mistakes but I still think he is a top 10 corner when all is said and done.. So between Epenesa and White, I think we got two crucial pieces nailed down.. a great prospect at DE and a very good corner.. Edmunds should be moved into Milano’s role.. Milano walks.. You don’t pay top dollar for an often injured player.. he needs to go.. Poyer is an elite safety, very few in the NFL are better than him.. He’s the QB of our secondary.. with a true MLB to QB our front seven, I think we’ll be just fine.. So ideally we draft another ILB, a NT, a DE, a FS, a CB and we’re cooking.. whole defense would be locked up for next to nothing for the next 4-5 years going into Allen’s prime.. Pay offense, draft defense.. McD is a defensive cannoisseur, he can find starters all throughout the draft.. offense is harder for us to replenish.. Hyde, Hughes, Butler, Jefferson, Addison, Murphy, Norman and Gaines all need to go.. Need to find us a big fat NT like Ted Washington to plug in next to Star and our run game is fixed.. We’d be in good shape to extend Allen and give Diggs a pay bump..

Well, I think you gotta do a salary dump now.. By the time we do Josh’s contract we’ll have plenty of space.. And be honest, if we spent like 6 or 7 picks on defense, do you really think we’d be worst off? I mean, defense is McD’s forte, if you give him an entire draft to build our defense you’d think that we’d have a pretty solid unit.. And our cap situation would be phenomenal for the next 4-5 years..

He looks better without the reverse Charlie Chaplin mustache.. Gotta confuse the defenses with your facial hair though, don’t want them to figure out what you’re doing..

He’s only gotten 7-10 sacks three times over his 11 year career.. Defense needs to be rebuilt now, we need that cap space for Allen.. and I assume that Diggs will eventually want more money.. Daryl Williams has been great, he needs to be re-signed as does Feliciano.. Defense needs a youth movement in the worst way.. Definitely think Levi Wallace should get signed to a cheap 2 year deal.. Him and Dane have shown promise at corner... young n cheap.. I would keep Poyer because in my mind he is the heart and soul of this defense but all the other expensive contracts need to be dumped or traded for draft picks.. Poyer, Epenesa, White, Edmunds, Oliver, Jackson, Wallace, Johnson and Zimmer should be the young nuclei we build around.. Start over.. Defense is getting paid too much and they suck.. Need to add a center in the draft and everything else should go towards defense.. trade down if you have to..

Yeah but do you want to lose Feliciano or Williams only to hang on to a dwindling veteran for one more year? I think you cut Morse, cut Hughes, cut Addison, Jefferson and Butler and you sign Feliciano, Daryl Williams, Isaiah McKenzie and Levi Wallace.. if at all possible you also cut Micah Hyde.. Milano goes too unless he’s on a cheap prove it deal.. trade down at least once, maybe twice.. Defense needs to be gutted like a fish.. Offense is good except for center or guard (depending on where we put Feliciano) and TE.. Time to unload cap and get ready for Josh’s extension.. I feel really good about Epenesa.. I think he can be a 10 sack per year guy.. I like him a lot..

That’s a pretty scummy thing to do.. who wants to play for a franchise like that?

He was definitely a good prospect coming out.. almost reminded me of Tony Romo.. but we all know what happens to QBs who take too many hits..

Hughes bites on play action a lot and although he may get some pressure he rarely gets sacks.. he’ll be 34 next year.. Even Andre Reed, Thurman Thomas and Bruce Smith didn’t stay in Buffalo much longer than that.. Better we move on a year early than one to late.. especially if it means we lose Feliciano or Daryl Williams.. Keep a nice OL in front of Josh.. Fans get too attached to players, it’s a business..

Releasing Brown is a bad bad idea.. Our offense is completely different with him out there.. I expect Gabe Davis to make a leap but it’s a bad idea to take away one of Allen’s trusted targets..Think you gut that DL.. The most expensive DL in the NFL and arguably our biggest under performer.. Epenesa will be good, I’m pretty sure about that.. He’ll be an upgrade over Murphy next year.. Daryl Johnson should be a solid rotational piece.. Bills need another quality DE and a solid NT to plug in that DL next to Ed Oliver and Star.. I think if you do that and add a few quality LBs we’ll be ok..

Well.. we’re in cap trouble my friend.. I think Epenesa and Johnson will be solid players for us if given the opportunity.. I also value our OL more so than I do our DL.. Our defense has vastly underperformed and that’s largely to our DL.. Entire defense needs to be reshuffled..

Think we need a youth movement on defense.. I’d keep Epenesa and Daryl Johnson.. Addison, Hughes, Butler and Jefferson I’d move on from.. take that money and extend Daryl Williams and Jon Feliciano.. Trade down in the draft a few times, reload...
