Is Moss the best closer we have had since Thurman?
ghostwriter replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Moss and Singletary are both productive backs.. Are they elite? By no stretch of the imagination, but it’s better to have two slightly above average backs than one elite one. RBC is by far the best way to go. -
Run D is important but our pass D is far more important. An excellent day for a RB is 100 yards.. And excellent day for a QB is 400 yards.. Yes it gets annoying sometimes but at least we got some dogs in this secondary, and although I’m not thrilled at times with the way Edmunds tackles, he’s a huge asset in pass D, gotta be patient with him...clearly respected by his peers...second Pro Bowl..

The margins for that happening are small though.. Took Josh a few years to hit stride.. With no good veteran QBs on the market, they’ll have to rely on a draft pick to come in and dominate which is a hard thing to do when you’re picking in the middle of the first round.. On average it takes a QB 2-3 years before they come into their own.. Not to mention he’ll be going up against Buffalo and Miami twice a year which is tough sledding.. Because of that reality, you may see New England with 3-4 guaranteed losses every year against divisional opponents, and when that happens coaches typically don’t last long..

Even if they do find their guy.. it’s rare for a 6-10 or 7-9 team to turn into a 10 win or 11 win team.. Bills are red hot with arguably the best or one of the best QBs in the league.. Our team is well built around him.. Patriots are not well built, they’re in full out rebuild with no QB.. They’re not picking high enough to draft a quality QB and even if they did it may take him 2 or 3 years before he can play at a high level.. I’m more concerned with Miami at this point..

At this point I wonder if he’d be a good backup.

49ers sign Josh Rosen
ghostwriter replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No doubt about it.. Even if they do everything the right way, it’ll be hard for the Jets to win the division.. Obviously the Bills look to be a potentially dominant force and the Dolphins seem to be on the right track.. I could easily see the Patriots end up drafting Trey Lance and signing Jimmy Goroppolo.. That’s a tough sell to any quality HC that they wish to acquire.. The AFC East is tough.. -

Question is do the Jets build around him or trade him and build around someone else. The cap shouldn't be an issue but not sure new management wants to stick with a guy like Darnold when they could start completely fresh Well.. Darnold is going into the 4th year of his contract.. I think Justin Fields is a better prospect than Darnold was coming out.. Plus, Fields will be on the first year of his rookie contract.. And Fields is a lot better prospect.. Maybe the Jets can trade Darnold for a 2nd or 3rd? Convert those draft choices into OL/WR selections that can help Fields grow.. Regardless, 2021 will still be a very rough year for the Jets.. You don’t go from 1-15 to a playoff team overnight.. They’ll be lucky to break .500... Think you add a lot of weapons around Fields and you put a solid OL in front of him so he can develop and have some success.. Build that offense around your franchise QB... worry bout defense later... -
Diggs has what others don't
ghostwriter replied to Might Rather's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll have to remember that. -
Well.. Trevor Lawrence may be out of the picture for the Jets but I think Justin Fields is a very good prospect.. but at this point I think they’d ruin any QB they draft.. Trey Lance to the Pats is a scary thought however.. the top 3 QBs this year all look solid to me.. Haven’t had much time breaking them all down but there’s definitely some talent at QB this year..

Week 16: Bills at Pats on MNF
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Garoppolo ends up in New England next year, that should be interesting.. It’s no secret that the 9ers are going to let him go.. it will be interesting to see what the Patriots look like next year.. -
Which retread NFL Head Coach would you hire?
ghostwriter replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Harbaugh.. good coach, could see him doing well with the right organization.. Second option would be Josh McDaniels.. I think both these guys would do well with Justin Herbert or Deshaun Watson.. -

Shoot.. when I was 23-25 I’d spend an hour and a half to two hours in the gym 4-5 days a week.. Here I am at 33 and now I’ll spend 3-4 days a week in the gym for about 45 minutes to an hour.. Once you reach about 30 years old you start to slow down.. Granted I’m not a pro athlete but I think there is a natural biological effect once you start to get a bit older.. At that point you need to learn how to work out smarter and not harder.. -
I hope he goes to the Chargers if he goes anywhere this offseason.. That’s the best place for him.. Daboll is a good guy and I’d hate to see him go to the Jets or Detroit or Jacksonville... He has my blessings when he leaves.. Daboll and Herbert would be a playoff juggernaut.

Gilmore to Have Quad Surgery
ghostwriter replied to Houston's #1 Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never liked Gilmore, not even when he was a Bill.. Just seemed like a really soft finesse player.. never liked to tackle or get physical and he looks like Milli Vanilli.. Didn’t want to stick around with the franchise that drafted him.. didn’t want to be a leader and help us turn things around.. Instead he went to a soft cushy landing in New England where all the hard work was already done.. Don’t like him, never have.. Didn’t want him to get injured.. I wanted Allen and Diggs to humiliate him.. Soft player, overrated.. -
Who do you want the Bills face in round one?
ghostwriter replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Colts -
He’ll probably be out of the NFL soon.. didn’t like him coming out.. But I do understand the temptation here.. Who hasn’t thought with their wrong head in the past? When I was 23-24, shoot.. I was in the bars every other Friday night too.. Needs to settle down with one girl.. Gotta look past just the sexual element with women.. they’re more than just TnA.. Should learn to care about women for who they are as people otherwise you can get in big trouble.. Losing 75% of what you own... child support..
