Bills a rumored suitor for Kareem Hunt trade
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I can see where you’re coming from. Think we all make mistakes, but how long must we hang this over his head for? At what point is the debt repaid, especially if his past behavior has been remediated? -
I want Boogie at #30. He’ll be a quality EDGE for a long time. Could see a case made for CB at #61 however. Pedigree needs to be factored in..

I really liked how New England’s offense looked with Gronk and Hernandez. We obviously run the Erhardt-Perkins offense, the same one they were running back then. I think by having two big bodied TEs on the field our passing game would open up, as well as the running game and coincidentally the play action as well, which Allen thrives at.

Yep, I had that problem for years but I’ve got about 4 years of sobriety now. Not an easy thing to do but my faith in God made it possible for me. 🙏 -
Miami trading Shaq Lawson to Texans

And then they get cut because that team sucks, so they really never end up seeing all the money. -
Any interest in Saquon Barkley?

Well, most of those games were from last year (15 games) I think. Before that he was pretty durable. -
Fair enough. I just get the idea that there’s lots of friction between Star and this front office. Didn’t make sense financially for the Raiders to cut Brown neither. We’re going on almost 2 years now without Star playing football, I just get the sense that he’s lazy and not very driven. COVID sucks, but you can just as easily get it in a restaurant or a night out than you could on a football field.

Sometimes players are cut on principle and not because of financial logistics.

Any interest in Saquon Barkley?

Hey, you can say what you want but he is the former #2 overall pick and ACL injuries aren’t what they used to be. He could easily return to form and lead the league in rushing. Better than anyone we could get at #61. -
He’s missed 17 games over 2 seasons and is coming off a torn ACL. The Giants are debating on whether to pick up his 5th year option or not or whether to extend him to a long term deal. Would you guys inquire about him if you were Brandon Beane? Think a 2nd would get it done?

Another Link in the Mock Draft Chain for the Bills .

There’s no one I’d rather have at #30 than Carlos Basham. I think he will be a very good DE in the NFL and for a long time, he’s my guy. I suppose if he was gone I’d take Zaven Collins there, I think he would be an excellent MLB for us and could also do beyond well in a Lorax kind of role. Owusu would also be an excellent option as well, these are probably my top 3 favorite options at #30. In the event of a trade down I think I would go after Elijah Moore, Jay Tufele, Jabril Cox and Pat Freiermuth. At #61 I’d like perhaps Hunter Long, Creed Humphrey or perhaps Quin Meinerz. I also like Tedarrell Slaton and Marvin Wilson, both are huge space eating nose tackles that can collapse the pocket, get pressure and stop the run. Trill Williams would also be a good option also if we go corner. -
I want Boogie Basham and Elijah Moore RD1 and RD2. That’s my ideal Day 1 - Day 2 of the draft, but this isn’t a job to me, this is pure fun and not even an ounce of speculation. I trust Beane.

Diggs would make sense and it would be well deserved. Think they should make our #1 receiver happy and convert his entire salary into a signing bonus! 🤪

Who's your pick for a breakout season?
ghostwriter replied to BruceVilanch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gabe Davis is a guy who I think will be a very good #2 receiver in this league for a long time. Don’t ever see him as being a #1 but a very good #2. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him double his production this year. Don’t think our offense will stutter without Brown, although we could really use an elite burner/quick twitch WR. Epenesa is my bet for defense. I liked what I saw and I’m very shocked that he graded so poorly athletically at the combine and on his pro day. I saw a guy that was flying all over the field. Don’t ever see him as being elite, but I do view him as being a very good starter. Ceiling isn’t crazy high but I do think he’ll be good. -
[Vague Title] Is this it with cuts/restructures?
ghostwriter replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well... part of the problem (i think) is that our IDL could not get any penetration to force the QB out of the pocket. What good is it if our edge rushers beat their man but the QB can simply step up into the pocket and step into his throw? Pressure is a concerted effort amongst the entire DL. Pressure inside is vital to any DE’s success.. Even if you don’t get 20 sacks like Donald or Jones, you still need disrupters there, even if it doesn’t show on the stat sheet. DT can be a thankless job but absolutely vital in terms of stopping elite QBs like Brady or Mahomes. Need a stud DT as much as we need a stud DE. -
Looks like John Brown was released

My friend, my friend but Davis averaged 17.1 yards a catch and had 7 TDs. So that’s 599yds off of 35 catches as a rookie. WR has a very steep learning curve, there is no doubt in my mind he can double that next year. How is he any different than Kenny Golladay, Mike Evans or some of these other big receivers? They’re not burners either.
