  1. Those first two picks I’ll give an A+. This is pretty good, one of the better ones I’ve seen. I’m all about DAT BOOGIE!!
  2. Gabe Davis is a guy who I think will be a very good #2 receiver in this league for a long time. Don’t ever see him as being a #1 but a very good #2. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him double his production this year. Don’t think our offense will stutter without Brown, although we could really use an elite burner/quick twitch WR. Epenesa is my bet for defense. I liked what I saw and I’m very shocked that he graded so poorly athletically at the combine and on his pro day. I saw a guy that was flying all over the field. Don’t ever see him as being elite, but I do view him as being a very good starter. Ceiling isn’t crazy high but I do think he’ll be good.
  3. Well... part of the problem (i think) is that our IDL could not get any penetration to force the QB out of the pocket. What good is it if our edge rushers beat their man but the QB can simply step up into the pocket and step into his throw? Pressure is a concerted effort amongst the entire DL. Pressure inside is vital to any DE’s success.. Even if you don’t get 20 sacks like Donald or Jones, you still need disrupters there, even if it doesn’t show on the stat sheet. DT can be a thankless job but absolutely vital in terms of stopping elite QBs like Brady or Mahomes. Need a stud DT as much as we need a stud DE.
  4. My friend, my friend but Davis averaged 17.1 yards a catch and had 7 TDs. So that’s 599yds off of 35 catches as a rookie. WR has a very steep learning curve, there is no doubt in my mind he can double that next year. How is he any different than Kenny Golladay, Mike Evans or some of these other big receivers? They’re not burners either.
  5. Yes, but in order for that to happen he has to fix this defense. For a defensive oriented coach, I found his D last year to be quite abysmal. Our offense carried us all year and our defense was nowhere to be seen.
  6. He’s what 6’2? Has great size and body control. Typically your big guys aren’t going to run in the 4.3s-4.4s, right around 4.5 is about what is acceptable for guys that size. Obviously if they run faster than that, that’s great, they’re freaks, but his speed is good enough is what I’m saying. Think the value in a player like Gabe Davis is he’s big. He can outmuscle most CBs for jump balls and he can beat them while they’re playing in press coverage. And once again, great body control. You can throw it to the opposite side of the CB and he has the wingspan, the hands and nimble feet to haul it in. Also helps in run blocking. He’s going to manhandle most CBs..
  7. Could potentially extend someone, guarantee more money over the next 2-3 years to lower their cap this year.
  8. I think Davis is a star in the making. What we do need is very quick explosive fast twitch WR that can man the slot and return kicks.
  9. Might as well just sign Allen now. Sure, there is some risk involved, but relatively low risk at that. Makes sense to pickup his 5th year option and extend him to 5 years on top of that. 5yrs $200M $140M gtd... Something like that. May cost us a lot more if we wait till later.
  10. Josh like Brady has the talent to make a slightly good WR into a very good one. Not as much separation is needed for them to get open because he can rifle the ball into very narrow windows. However, very tactful maneuvering is required to build a Championship team around Josh. Really have to choose which positions you value in terms of paying.
  11. This may buy him another year, but doesn’t guarantee that he’ll be here beyond 2022. Could still draft a few linemen this year and have them ride the pine while we develop them, but obviously this gives us flexibility though as far as the draft is concerned. DL & front seven is more of a need and this move allows us to target more dire areas on the team. No need to create a hole where there doesn’t need to be one.
  12. Struggled a lot with injuries, veteran TE who has the potential to haul in 30-40 catches as say the #2 option. We should be able to re-sign him for very little guaranteed money, knows the offense, solid camp body that can be cut for no cost. I just figure that between Kroft, Rudolph, Sweeney and Knox that we’d be able to squeeze some decent production out of that group and hopefully run some bigger sets which I think could add balance in the run game and passing game. Obviously we could draft a guy, but at TE, there’s usually a learning curve.
  13. I’d be really happy if we re-signed Tyler Kroft and then brought Kyle Rudolph in. Let them battle it out with Dawson Knox, Lee Smith and Tommy Sweeney. It would be nice to have some depth there and I think it would open up some Twin TE sets and big sets that we could both run and pass in. I think that’d be a good wrinkle for this offense. It would be much easier to run in those formations, which would be great for Moss and Singletary whom I feel are underrated. At WR, I like the idea of cutting John Brown. I think he’s finished. I’d go after someone like Dede Westbrook to come in and bring speed on a relatively cheap contract. Probably wouldn’t cost a whole lot more than McKenzie and obviously I do think you re-sign McKenzie. I think Diggs, Davis, Beasley, Westbrook and McKenzie is a good looking unit. Hopefully we can bring in a speed guy in the draft that can return kicks and hopefully develop into a weapon for Josh. Some say Elijah Moore, some say Dazz Newsome. I think I’d prefer Moore if he is there in RD3, but Newsome may not be a bad option in RD5. Regardless, I do think WR is a need, may not be an overwhelming need but still a need.
  14. 30. Carlos Basham Jr. EDGE Wake Forest 61. Jabril Cox LB LSU 121. Trill Williams CB Syracuse 163. Tedarrell Slaton DT Florida 175. Jack Anderson OG Texas Tech 181. Camryn Bynum CB California 189. Jaylon Moore OT Western Michigan 214. Drew Dalman OC Stanford
  15. A lot of them have to acquire firearms because they’re in fear of their life. I’ve lived in multiple bad neighborhoods, some of my neighbors are drug addicts and hardened criminals. What do you do if you have an offense and a nonviolent offense at that that prohibits you from protecting yourself? Hell, what do you do if you have even a violent offense that prohibits you from protecting yourself when you live in a neighborhood riddled with drugs, violence and gangs? You can get killed in these places over $50 or even because you are wearing the wrong clothes. Have too many valuables in your house? Can get robbed and killed over that too..
  16. He would add so much to this team. I think with Allen as his QB, he really could dominate and have a career year here. He is a great fit for this offense.
  17. I want Taco Charlton. He was a guy that I really liked coming out of Michigan. He’s 6’6 270lbs, he can set the edge, stop the run and provide solid production as a pass rusher. I don’t think he would cost all that much and I think he has the potential to grow into a solid contributor. I’m not saying he is the only free agent DL I want, but he would be a great player to add onto this DL. It’s not a bad idea. Wouldn’t mind him neither.
  18. I thought Klein came on strong towards the end of the year.. I mean, he had 5 sacks and he won DPOTW award twice I think. He was a very good free agent signing, good value for the money.
  19. I thought Hyde lost a step. Still seems like a good player though, but the price is a bit steep.
  20. Love the idea of adding another quick guy like McKenzie and Beasley. Hope he can return also.
