  1. Think when you’re picking towards the bottom of the 1st, you take what’s there. I’d trade up for a stud DE but that’s about it.
  2. DL is a lot like OL. If you don’t have the right pieces around you, you’re going to struggle. How many times did Hughes and even Addison beat their man but the QB simply stepped up in the pocket because our IDL could not get any push? Seems to me that that sort of thing happened quite regularly. Now, I wasn’t crazy about Ed Oliver when he came out of college, but in all fairness, he was playing 1 tech when he was meant to be a penetrating DT. That may have been okay for him in college, but in all fairness, that was never supposed to be his role in the pros. Do I think he is the next Aaron Donald? Absolutely not. I do think he can be a very good DT however if you plug a big fat NT next to him. In many ways I think I was wrong. I think he has a relatively high ceiling. Give me Tedarrell Slaton or Marvin Wilson and Ed Oliver will have a great year.
  3. I like your play on words there sir. 😉
  4. Yes my friend, I agree. I’ve been a big fan of Slaton for a long time now. If we could get him in the 3rd I would be very happy. I love him, I like him too.
  5. They may have some hope left in Harrison Phillips, before his knee injury he looked good, maybe he rebounds? Ultimately I think we add another 1 tech somewhere in the Draft RDs 1-3.
  6. Got ya.. they’ve had some good ones over the years but I don’t think Eichenberg will be one of them.
  7. Doesn’t mean Eichenberg will be good because you’ve included him in that group.
  8. Willis McGahee. I was a sophomore in high school when we drafted him. Thought he was going to be great but it was clear he didn’t like Buffalo and I guess in retrospect I couldn’t blame him. Ralph wasn’t serious one bit about winning so maybe he was right after all. Stephon Gilmore. I hated the pick when we made it, I thought he was a soft player. Looked like milli vanilli, like the guy spent hours in front of the mirror grooming himself every morning. When he went to New England my hate intensified. Other than that, there’s not too many guys I disliked a whole lot.
  9. Agree on some levels.. Defense needs the love. Although this is a fantastic year for OL, I doubt we go there.. I could see a RB like Najee Harris if he’s available, but I doubt we would take any other offensive player outside of that unless there’s a big time player that drops. I see CB, DE and DT as the most likely targets at 30. Also think Jeremiah Owusu-Karamoah being a target or Zaven Collins but outside of those two guys I doubt we go LB.
  10. I mean, how much will they get honestly? Mitch Trubisky is 10x better than Bridgewater and we signed him for $2.5M. At this point they will probably just have to release him. Who on earth wants to take on that contract? No kidding, John.
  11. He seems like he can effective pushing the pile forward but I don’t think he’s athletic enough to be a good pulling guard, he runs way too flat footed but I think he can be a solid guard in pass pro as well so that’s a plus. Seems like he’s pretty strong in those two regards.. I think he’d be better at RG.
  12. We’ll see.. I really like that Trey Lance kid a lot.. I see a lot of Josh Allen in him. I’m 50/50 on Wilson.
  13. Well there’s probably about 250-300 people I don’t want at 30. It would be easier for me to list the ones I do want. 😉
  14. We’ll see.. I’m not completely sold on him, I could absolutely be wrong though.
  15. My friend, Harris is more than a goal line back. He can do everything, bit of Derrick Henry with a splash of LeVeon Bell in his prime. Same.
  16. Or just stay put and take Trey Lance. 😉
  17. There’s no doubt he’s incredible, no doubt. From what I’ve seen the kid is downright amazing but in order for a trade up to be worth it, he would have to be the best TE in the NFL. Seems like a pretty slim margin to be banking on. Even if he is a 60, 70 catch guy he would be a huge disappointment in relation to the amount of capital spent to move up and get him. I do too. Too steep. Very nice prospect though but once again, he has to be the best TE in the NFL for it to be worth it. Even if he’s just “good”, that’s not good enough. He needs to be the Michael Jordan of TEs.
  18. I understand you, many don’t realize how good Pitts is, but even with that in perspective, how good is he? 70 catches? 80? Or more? Freiermuth can probably get you 50 perhaps.. So 50 catches + a very decent MLB and extra draft picks or Kyle Pitts? In order for your trade to be worth it Pitts would have to be the best TE in the league. 80, 90, 100 catches year in, year out minimum.
  19. Just seems like we would have a better team all around if we just kept Edmunds, traded down and took Freiermuth. Think Freiermuth will be a solid starter as I also think Hunter Long may be a decent target at 61. Once again, are you willing to give up so much for maybe a modest difference in production? Makes no sense to me.
  20. It’s not as dumb as some make it out to be.. But my friend, my friend, would you not rather have Edmunds + a trade down and simply take Pat Freiermuth? Would the gap in production be so profound that it would be worth giving so much up for Pitts? Think Freiermuth + extra picks + Edmunds > Pitts.
  21. Surely you mean Shaq Lawson and not Manny Lawson, correct? I see him as being more athletic than Shaq. Obviously he isn’t Reggie White from a power standpoint but I do see him as being able to stop the run. Pretty good from a power standpoint in that respect, he’s clearly a LE. I think his first step is underrated. I like him a lot and he is my favorite pick at 30, but my gut feeling is he won’t be a Bill. We’ll have to agree to disagree my friend but I’m glad you liked the rest of my mock. 👍
