  1. Rousseau, Obada, Epenesa, Hughes, Addison Daryl Johnson goes to the PS.
  2. Fair enough my friend, but keep in mind we just need a good #2 and not a shutdown #1. If we can upgrade that RCB spot I think that would be an amazing start to the draft. Fingers crossed for Marvin Wilson, Tyler Shelvin or Tedarrel Slaton RD3.
  3. I’m hoping a good corner is available at 61.
  4. I love the fact that we have a lineman that big on the DL now. I’m very happy about this. Our line was very undersized last year, this guy is a monster. He may have only produced one year, but in that one year he racked up more sacks than many of the other DEs had in 2-3 years combined. I feel good about this pick.
  5. I’m actually really excited about this. I love his size. 15.5 sacks his freshman year, you can’t fake that, you can’t get lucky that often. 6’7 270lbs, this guy should be a natural at LE. Obviously he will have zero problem against the run and looks to be a quality pass rusher as well. He wasn’t supposed to be here at 30. I’m giving this pick an A+.
  6. Well, this makes sense for New England. I do think he may be a solid starter, but in no way will this push the needle forward far enough for the Pats to overcome Josh and the Bills. He will never be the QB Josh is.
  7. Khalil Mack perhaps, but he’s 30-31 years old at this point. Even if we gave up a 1 for him I’d want at least a 3rd back.
  8. Wearing the #1 is bad luck.
  9. Beane’s saving grace is that he nailed the Josh Allen pick, outside of that his drafts have been mediocre, but because he found our franchise QB, that alone makes him a good GM. Outside of Gabe Davis, what has he really done? Many of his other picks were mediocre. Not only that, outside of Josh Allen, Wyatt Teller was his second best pick and he was traded away for nothing. Jury is out on Epenesa and Oliver, but it looks like Ford was a miss as well. Some of his other picks are decent but not great, Edmunds is probably the most divisive player on the team. Moss, Singletary, Knox, Harry and Taron Johnson are all solid players but not homeruns by any stretch of the imagination. I would not question Beane’s job security however, but honestly, once again, outside of Allen his drafts have been mediocre. I do trust him 100% though in the sense that I am aware of the fact that he knows far more about football than I’ll ever know, but many of his picks have been underwhelming objectively speaking.
  10. What is your criteria for determining whether a player is a first or not?
  11. If that happens, I think that means Edmunds is gone.
  12. Longevity definitely factors into it though my friend.
  13. There will never be another one like him. No one will ever break his all time sack record. No one.
  14. Carlos “Boogie” Basham Jr, DE, Wake Forest 38th ranked player on Gil Brandt’s big board. Best EDGE in the draft.
  15. Would likely be a starter on some of the other teams in the NFL.
  16. Carlos Basham Jr. Jabril Cox Quinn Meinerz Jackson Carman Pat Freiermuth Hunter Long Elijah Moore Samuel Cosmi Jay Tufele Marvin Wilson
  17. If he’s so good, why is his highlight video on YouTube only 3 minutes long?
  18. Even so, how would we pay him?
  19. He is, but the way he improvs and breaks tackles is very Josh Allen-esque. Arm talent isn’t quite as good but good not great. I like small school guys with lots of talent versus guys from big schools like Alabama or Ohio State and I mean this strictly when it comes to QBs only and not other positions. Lance is playing with players who will likely not get drafted while Mac Jones and Justin Fields are playing with elite talent all around them. Lance put up a 28:0 TD:INT ratio which is incredible. I won’t deny that he is extremely raw but his ceiling is way higher than Fields or Jones. I won’t also deny that this guy will need top notch coaching but so did Josh. I always think it’s extremely wise to go for high ceiling guys when it comes to QBs, even if they have a low floor. Swing for the fences IMO.
  20. Smart move is to take Lance, who in my mind is a mini Josh Allen. Sit Lance on the bench for two years behind Jimmy Garoppolo and your QB room is set for the next 5 or 10 years. Garoppolo is making $23M a year, which is nothing for a starting QB. Lance has everything you’d ever want or need in a QB, he’s just raw.
  21. I think the most immediate impact players would be at RB and CB. Although I like Boogie Basham and Joseph Ossai to a lesser degree, it would likely take them a year or more to crack the starting lineup. I do think Boogie will be a good DE in this league but I seem to be in the minority there. A top flight corner opposite to Tre is not a bad idea either and would certainly add a scary element to our defense, but yeah, as far as which positions would provide the most immediate impact to our roster, it would have to be RB, CB and DE.
  22. Could be but there’s also guys who will be taken in the 2nd who we will look back at in hindsight and realize that they should have went higher than they did.
  23. He’s the same size as his dad and his dad was an elite corner who was coached by McD oddly enough. Huge upgrade over Levi and keep in mind this guy will be going up against teams second best WR. I love his pedigree and I love that he’s had elite coaching throughout his youth. If we can’t add an impactful DE at 30, I think you have to go corner. It’s extremely scary for most QBs when both their first and second options are covered while we also have Milano on their TE. That should lead to coverage sacks.
  24. My top 3: 1. Boogie Basham, DE 2. Asante Samuel Jr, CB 3. Zaven Collins, DL/LB
