  1. Would likely be a starter on some of the other teams in the NFL.
  2. Carlos Basham Jr. Jabril Cox Quinn Meinerz Jackson Carman Pat Freiermuth Hunter Long Elijah Moore Samuel Cosmi Jay Tufele Marvin Wilson
  3. If he’s so good, why is his highlight video on YouTube only 3 minutes long?
  4. He is, but the way he improvs and breaks tackles is very Josh Allen-esque. Arm talent isn’t quite as good but good not great. I like small school guys with lots of talent versus guys from big schools like Alabama or Ohio State and I mean this strictly when it comes to QBs only and not other positions. Lance is playing with players who will likely not get drafted while Mac Jones and Justin Fields are playing with elite talent all around them. Lance put up a 28:0 TD:INT ratio which is incredible. I won’t deny that he is extremely raw but his ceiling is way higher than Fields or Jones. I won’t also deny that this guy will need top notch coaching but so did Josh. I always think it’s extremely wise to go for high ceiling guys when it comes to QBs, even if they have a low floor. Swing for the fences IMO.
  5. Smart move is to take Lance, who in my mind is a mini Josh Allen. Sit Lance on the bench for two years behind Jimmy Garoppolo and your QB room is set for the next 5 or 10 years. Garoppolo is making $23M a year, which is nothing for a starting QB. Lance has everything you’d ever want or need in a QB, he’s just raw.
  6. I think the most immediate impact players would be at RB and CB. Although I like Boogie Basham and Joseph Ossai to a lesser degree, it would likely take them a year or more to crack the starting lineup. I do think Boogie will be a good DE in this league but I seem to be in the minority there. A top flight corner opposite to Tre is not a bad idea either and would certainly add a scary element to our defense, but yeah, as far as which positions would provide the most immediate impact to our roster, it would have to be RB, CB and DE.
  7. Could be but there’s also guys who will be taken in the 2nd who we will look back at in hindsight and realize that they should have went higher than they did.
  8. He’s the same size as his dad and his dad was an elite corner who was coached by McD oddly enough. Huge upgrade over Levi and keep in mind this guy will be going up against teams second best WR. I love his pedigree and I love that he’s had elite coaching throughout his youth. If we can’t add an impactful DE at 30, I think you have to go corner. It’s extremely scary for most QBs when both their first and second options are covered while we also have Milano on their TE. That should lead to coverage sacks.
  9. My top 3: 1. Boogie Basham, DE 2. Asante Samuel Jr, CB 3. Zaven Collins, DL/LB
  10. I could totally see this. If there is no pass rusher available, why not add an elite corner opposite of Tre? This would totally help our defense. Wouldn’t mind this one bit.
  11. Excellent choice, he’s a very good player but since we play in nickel most of the time, I wonder how many snaps he’d get. It would only make sense if Edmunds got traded and we plugged him into MLB, but I don’t see that happening. Boogie Basham would be my choice, even at 30 but some see him as a RD2 pick. If there is no pass rusher worthy of our first pick, why not go corner there? To me it’s either DE or CB.
  12. You guys did really well with Brown and Thuney. You guys clearly got the best of the KC/Ravens trade. Brown is a top notch LT and you guys gave up very little in compensation. You guys clearly have some really decent pieces to build around on that OL.
  13. This benefits the Chiefs greatly. A Pro Bowl LT for a 2nd. Don’t forget they have Thuney playing right next to him.
  14. Wade Phillips was one of the best DCs to ever grace the game. Truly one of the best. Second place is tied between Greg Williams and Jim Shorts.
  15. Although Trill Williams is a big physical corner who may be able to shutdown bigger WRs in the NFL, I do think he will get burned by some of the faster WRs in the NFL. Don’t care about his 40, he seems to have a very average closing burst. Hamsah Nasirildeen on the other hand has great size and impressive athleticism for a man that big. I’m not sure if he’s a LB or a safety but he’s clearly a playmaker. Very physical, excellent in coverage and this guy will have no problem covering big TEs or stepping up in run support. There’s lots of good TEs in our division, Nasirildeen will benefit us greatly in that regard. Overall he’s a complete freak, if he is there when we pick, I think you have to take him.
  16. I think they stay. I doubt there will be anybody worth trading up for and since this isn’t a strong draft, why go down?
  17. It takes a premium player to fall to make the trade up worth it. 😉
  18. Micah Parsons or Jaylen Waddle would be well worth going up for. Picture Waddle in this offense, we would be deadly.
  19. Yep. Could even see us trading up for a guy like Jaylen Waddle, Micah Parsons or Devonta Smith if they are there but I doubt that there’s a whole lot of other prospects that we would go up for and the likelihood that either of these guys are there is next to zero. Waddle or Smith would be epic in this offense though. I’m sure both sides want it done.. I suspect that Josh will take a lower yearly salary if he is given a longer deal with more guaranteed.. That’s my gut feeling.
  20. Yep, definitely seems to be a weak draft, at least to me.
  21. The thing that makes this harder for us is the fact that we’re picking at 30. At that point it’s all about who dropped to us. Truly if we’re going BPA, which this team is clearly set to do it’s harder to predict what the 29 other teams before us will do and who is left. Could be anything really so it’s harder for us to find a pulse on what Beane will do. I am however interested in the late round picks very much. Can we find another Jason Peters or Kyle Williams or another diamond in the rough? Regardless, I think our defense needs an infusion of talent the most, mainly at DB and DL. Would like to see 75-80% of our draft going towards defense.
