Well, too little zip and it won’t matter how accurate you are, the defense will start jumping on the ball. Take Allen for instance, he has a rocket for an arm but he uses it to rifle the ball in to his receivers in such a way that defenders simply can’t jump on it. Either the receiver gets it or no one does. Also, I don’t think Mac will be a good QB. He benefited from an insanely talented supporting cast and great coaching. I could see him as a middling type of QB (better than Cam), but with that said, between Belichick and some of the other players you have on your roster, I would not be surprised at all to see the Patriots challenge the Bills for the division, but ultimately I think the Bills will stay ahead by 2-3 games. Still, great coaching is great coaching. Respect to Belichick, although I think he is on his way out, he’s still one of the best coaches in the history of the game. Never underestimate his ability as a game planner and getting the most out of his players.

A closer look at Boogie Basham
ghostwriter replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You’re right. If I were to get a jersey, it would likely be Allen and Boogie’s, all white, away jerseys. Problem I’m having with that is I don’t want them to blow an ACL or get cut or traded from the team. -
53 Man Roster: Projection After OTA/Minicamp

I would almost rather have Zimmer and Harry over Vernon Butler, but I have no idea what the cap situation is like with Butler’s contract. -
I think this is the year for Ed Oliver

If he’s receiving double teams all the time, what does it matter where he’s lined up? -
53 Man Roster: Projection After OTA/Minicamp

I can’t complain really. I may switch Hodgins out for Stevenson, but then again, will Cole even play this year? Regardless, we have other playmakers we can get the ball to. -
I just saw DK Metcalf in a Nestle Quik commercial....

Well, the reason I love Allen is because he was my #2 overall prospect the year we drafted him. I caught tons of flak for my opinion, so like Boogie, he is a special player to me, I’d probably have Tre right behind him because I hated that pick initially but now I love him. I’m not the type to wear jerseys or that type of thing, but I lucked out twice. The two players I pounded the table for, I got. -
A closer look at Boogie Basham

I love the cold, I love winter. 😁 Anyways, I think Rousseau will be good, but I think Basham will be the better player both short term and long term. I’m glad the value worked out the way it did though. Boogie at 61 was a miracle. -
Carl Nassib Announces He is Gay

I am kind of old fashioned in many ways, I made a joke earlier that came off kind of wrong and I apologize for that.. but one thing that does bug me on a profound level to no end is the suicide rate amongst the LGBT community. I find that to be an absolute travesty. I can’t tell you how much that pulls at my heartstrings. I just hope the LGBTQ community realizes that if you get knocked down, you’re not a failure so long as you remember to get back up again. Things may seem impossible now, but if you give it another day or another week, things may change. Always get back up again. -
This is a simple Poll. Will Josh Allen regress?
ghostwriter replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Regress? I’m hoping he gets MVP. -
Instead of a player, can I pick an entire unit? Ultimately I think that our DL is what’s going to help this defense turn the corner and I think Star will have little to do with it. Between Boogie, Oliver, Epenesa and Hughes we’ll be cooking. I’m not sure where Rousseau is yet weight wise, I think he may need another year or two before he reaches his full potential. Ideally I think he should be playing in the 295-300 range but I think he will be a pretty good player when he fills out his frame, but Boogie will be more dominant right away. Tre Day will always be a savage corner, but that’s old news. He’ll essentially lockdown every WR he faces 99% of the time. Those two pieces working together will give Buffalo an elite defense this year. Edmunds and Milano will simply have to clean up the trash. Hopefully Allen and co can put some points up. I think we have a better season than we had last year. We have about as good a chance as anyone to win the Super Bowl this year. Hopefully Allen gets MVP.

A closer look at Boogie Basham
ghostwriter replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Boogie will be an elite EDGE at the next level. I’m thinking that between him and Oliver this DL will set the tempo for the rest of this Bills defense this year. I think he will lineup mainly at RDE and LDT. Anyways, I’m done gabbing about it. I wanted him at 30, I caused many posters to pull their hair out because of my infatuation with him @NewEra @GunnerBill. I’m just tired of message board talk, I want the football season to start already.- 56 replies

Well, what is the job of a NT? -

He had nobody to play alongside him, so who do you think teams double teamed? -
I think this is the year for Ed Oliver

Well, he was drafted in 2018. This is his third year in the NFL. They say to never judge a draft till at least three years later. Oliver played at 285 last year, I think he belongs at 300-305. He is built a lot like Kyle Williams IMO. He is a bit undersized, but once again, he was playing a lot of nose, which is incredible for a guy that’s so light. If you want to argue and say he isn’t a great NT, I agree with you, but in my mind, you can’t argue that Oliver could be a very good 3T if he was allowed to attack. Also, you can’t argue that Oliver would not be good in run support if he didn’t have to eat two blockers. Is he Pat Williams? No, but he is good enough for what Buffalo wants to do, which is to build a DL that can kill your QB. By all means, put Star in at RDT and Oliver in at LDT in obvious running situations, but by and large for the most part Oliver will be at RDT most of the time because this is a passing league and our DL is designed to hunt QBs. -

He does get a lot of shade though. I just think that it’s going to be obvious by the end of the year that he is not a bust and he was not a reach. He did a lot of dirty work for us last year, but with the way the Bills drafted and the way they added talent, I think Oliver will be able to play more to his ability and skill set. More 1 on 1s, less eating up blockers, more penetrating and shooting gaps. I see him becoming a key cog on this defense, if not our most important, our second most important behind Tre. I just have that feeling in my gut that he is going to do something special. -
I think he is going to see a lot of 1 on 1s and all hell is going to break loose. Between Star, Boogie, Obada and Rousseau, it’s going to be impossible for teams to zero in on him. I don’t think he will be elite, I reserve that for Aaron Donald and Chris Jones only, but I do think he will emerge as a very good DT and a key contributor on that Bills DL. Flame away. 😁

LeSean McCoy Remembering his Buffalo Days

Shady in his prime would put this team over the top. Probably win 2-3 Super Bowls over the next 4-5 years if that were the case. -
Rodgers Disgruntled with Packers
ghostwriter replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thing is, Aaron Rodgers is a top 5 QB and has been for nearly a decade now and he only has 1 SB. Had he played for other teams he could easily have 2-3. I don’t think he is cocky or conceited at all for wanting out of Green Bay. I don’t think they’ve done a great job building around him. He can pretty much make any HC or OC look good and I know he put up big numbers last year but he is going to do that in any scheme regardless. They’ve gone against his wishes many times which is folly. Any player he wanted he should have gotten. Any coach he wanted he should have gotten. I’m hearing he may end up in Denver, but honestly, I think he is going backwards talent wise as far as what he would have to work with, but I do think Elway would get him pretty much everything he wants if he went there. If Elway rolled out the red carpet for him like he did with Manning and kept Rodgers involved, it could work out though. Wouldn’t be my first choice though if I was Rodgers. -
