  1. How would you feel if your boss demoted you and hired somebody to take your spot and paid them more than you? To top it off, they bring in competition and are paying them at a higher wage than you also. And the guy they brought in to compete with you is really good friends one of your other bosses. How would that make you feel? This is essentially what they’re trying to do with Ertz and Hollister. Knox will have to put up unbelievable numbers this year, which will be next to impossible if we land Ertz.
  2. Yes, my friend. Hughes buys Boogie and Rousseau time to get acclimated to the pro level. May even be a great rotational guy by the end of the year. I suspect Boogie will be our RDE by the end of the year and beyond. Addison I couldn’t give a rats arse about.
  3. Yup, but where did I say cut him? I’m essentially saying that we need to upgrade the position and by the looks of it our FO agrees. Certainly he can beat out Hollister, but not somebody like Ertz. You say that I think I know more than our FO, but ultimately my opinion reflects their approach like a mirror. If anything, your faith in Knox seems to be antagonistic towards what Beane and McD are doing. Did we not go after Hunter Henry as well? And now Ertz? Once again, my opinion is essentially echoing what they’re doing. They went after Hunter Henry and now Ertz, they clearly think we’re soft at TE. If anything, you’re the one going against the grain, by all means.
  4. Oh, absolutely and I’m not necessarily saying we should cut him, that’s madness, but I’m also not advocating that we should wait for him to develop over the next 2-3 years while our Super Bowl window closes. TE is our biggest weakness, inject talent there and let the chips fall where they may.
  5. When I say move on, it could mean numerous things. We could trade for Zach Ertz, we could draft a TE next year, we could go after a free agent. Obviously he has a cheap contract, so that matters, but you tell me, what makes you think Dawson Knox is any good? Tell me, what are you seeing?
  6. If you don’t have a QB, what position does matter exactly?
  7. Well, this is a forum where people discuss each other’s opinions.
  8. I don’t see Knox ever becoming what we hoped for him to be. Time to move on.
  9. I’ve been waiting for this, it looks like it’s finally going to happen. Send them a 5th, I don’t care. Ertz will be a top 5-7 TE in this league with Allen getting him the ball. I know he has one year left on his deal, but he will re-sign here once we get to the Super Bowl or AFCC game.
  10. I can’t say I really disagree with you. He will be 31 in September. How much will he get really? Many athletes start to fall off at that age.
  11. Right, but he seems to be procrastinating, does he not? A reputable organization would of had the name changed the following day if not within a few weeks. What’s wrong with the Washington natives? Or a name that honors Native Americans? They can keep the same logo as they wish. Regardless, procrastination is the enemy of time.
  12. I’m sorry. What are you saying?
  13. Thank you for the correction. I’m just not sure what in the world he’s doing. WFT is the most bland, generic name of all teams in every possible pro sport imaginable. I just don’t understand what he’s doing. Terrible name. Snyder is a terrible owner and he should sell the team.
  14. “Washington Football Team” is a terrible name and we all know it. Snyder wants to stick it to the NFL for forcing them to change their name in the first place.
  15. McDermott almost reminds me of a Mike Tomlin type of HC. Although I think he can outdo him because he has a better QB. Either way, not a bad group to be in.
  16. I don’t like the idea of judging people unless they did something terribly wrong. People change. Grow up.
  17. Oh, absolutely. I think Trubisky can keep us in it for 3-4 games if he has to. He isn’t a good QB, but a very quality game manager.
  18. I disagree. Josh is already one of my all time favorites, right up there with Bruce Smith and Ruben Brown. He’s a special QB, if he keeps on doing what he’s doing, he’ll probably have a few rings and end up in the HOF. BUT I think Mitchell Trubisky will rebound and have a decent career. Will he ever be Josh? No. But I think he can be a solid starter that bounces around the league. New England should have nabbed him, Miami should have too. Better than Cam, better than Tua.
  19. Which is remarkable because the 2013 Bills DL boasted of Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, Marcell Dareus and Jerry Hughes. I think there will be two elite players who come forth, mainly Carlos Basham and Ed Oliver. I expect a very high level of production right away from Boogie and I think that this year Ed Oliver turns into the player we all wanted him to be. So between those two guys, I think Buffalo will have two very good players on that DL that will pretty much cause havoc and set the tempo for the rest of the Bills D. I also think that Epenesa will have breakout year. I think he will be a good DE for years to come, I don’t see him as an elite DE or someone who will be in that elite upper echelon of DEs, but I think he will be good. Then we have guys like Hughes, Addison, Rousseau and Obada in the mix, who will provide great depth and will keep our starters fresh. Collectively I see these guys contributing to this team as a whole, individually speaking I don’t think you’ll see any gaudy numbers from them, but once again, collectively as a group, they will benefit this team greatly as a unit. Also, I think fans put too much value on Star. I think if it were possible, he would be gone already. I think he will have little to no impact on the outcome of this years DL. He’s just an overpriced tub of doo doo butter at this point. So I think what was our Achilles heel last year will now become the heart and soul of this team’s defense.
  20. Allen and Boogie. I don’t wear jerseys but if I did it would be those two. Third option would be Tre Day baby.
  21. Shoot, for the veteran minimum though and we stash him on IR for 6 weeks, he could rebound. He’s what? 30? He could make a full recovery. I mean, even if he comes close to 75%-80% of what he was, he’s still better than Ford and Feliciano. I know Feliciano is a gamer but I have no hope at all for Ford, but I am no doctor though. I’ll leave that up to the big college book learners, I’m still trying to get my grade 10.
  22. I could be wrong on Mac. I see an average QB, but an Average QB + Bill Belichick may = an Above Average QB in many cases. It’s certainly possible. As far as the Patriots go, I see 9, 10 or 11 wins. I see the phins regressing horribly and I see the Saleh flaming out as a HC coach. Tua is garbage, he’s Johnny Manziel 2.0 and the Jets are just a horribly run franchise. Belichick has way too much pride to bottom out, he’ll want to go out in a blaze of glory.
  23. Well, too little zip and it won’t matter how accurate you are, the defense will start jumping on the ball. Take Allen for instance, he has a rocket for an arm but he uses it to rifle the ball in to his receivers in such a way that defenders simply can’t jump on it. Either the receiver gets it or no one does. Also, I don’t think Mac will be a good QB. He benefited from an insanely talented supporting cast and great coaching. I could see him as a middling type of QB (better than Cam), but with that said, between Belichick and some of the other players you have on your roster, I would not be surprised at all to see the Patriots challenge the Bills for the division, but ultimately I think the Bills will stay ahead by 2-3 games. Still, great coaching is great coaching. Respect to Belichick, although I think he is on his way out, he’s still one of the best coaches in the history of the game. Never underestimate his ability as a game planner and getting the most out of his players.
