  1. He’s a Buffalo native IIRC, but I think our DL is all set.
  2. It’s kind of amazing how far Allen has come under the guidance of Jordan Palmer, who seemingly has a stellar reputation in the NFL as a top end QB coach. It’s kind of perplexing to me cause Palmer sucked as a player but is apparently a really great coach. I wonder why he didn’t do much as a player in the NFL? Regardless, his track record as a coach speaks for itself.
  3. I support Rodgers 100%. Green Bay has very little to show for between him and Favre. How is it you only have two Lombardis between two of the greatest QBs of all time?
  4. Even now I’d have to put Josh ahead of OJ and I know that OJ is in the same echelon as Barry Sanders for sure. Thurman was great, Barry was the best..
  5. Two each his own. I don’t see Isaiah as a natural route runner, nor do I see him as being big enough to break free from physical press corners and once again he has a very slight athletic build and small bone structure. I don’t see his body as big enough to handle the abuse of 68 catches. I kind of see him as a Roscoe Parrish type of player except Roscoe may have actually been a wee bit bigger.
  6. I like Isaiah a lot too, but he just doesn’t have the frame to be a 50-55+ catch kind of guy. He is a splash player. If you can get him in space via design plays, he can be a valuable contributor. I think he can get you maybe 40-45 catches a year, which is about his max, I think. That’s still valuable given his skill set though, given that he’s an athletic marvel and can take it to the house on any given play and he must be accounted for, but he has a very small frame/bone structure, he can easily get hurt. If used tastefully he is a very solid #4 and I hope the Bills hang onto him, at the right price.
  7. If Davis improves upon his rookie year, he will be making lots of beans and biscuits in another year or two.
  8. If he’s willing to take $11M-$12M, I’d say he’s worth it, but anything more than that gives me cause for concern. Of course one could argue that our DL has been piss poor since he’s been here, but his production isn’t in line with other elite players. Sure, he’s good, but not very good, let alone elite. He has everything you’d want in a LB physically, but he lacks instincts. MLB is a highly disvalued position. If we see more splash plays out of Edmunds in pass defense I may change my mind, because generally that’s what you want these days in a LB.
  9. Better off saving that money for when other teams start trimming their rosters down. TE and corner seem to be way more pertinent than adding another DT.
  10. I think that Sanders will likely take Beasley’s spot in the slot. With the way things are going for Cole, I’m not so sure he’ll be around come week 1. I think you’ll see Diggs and Davis on the outside and Sanders in the slot.
  11. You don’t trade assets off when your team is in win now mode. Singletary is our best back and not only that, it looks like he is coming into camp in the best shape of his life. As many folks pointed out, our line is not exactly the best at run blocking. We are not a power run team, yet Singletary has averaged almost 5ypc in his first two seasons. I would argue that even some of the best backs in the league wouldn’t of had much success behind this OL. I would also argue that our run blocking scheme is the problem and is most certainly Brian Daboll’s weakness as a play caller. This line is great in pass protection, but I think over the next year or two that it will be reshuffled. Ford, Feliciano and Morse will not be mainstays. There’s clearly some work to be done there.
  12. I believe that Sanders will play a lot in the slot. I’m not confident that Beasley will be on our roster opening week. Davis will probably be our LWR.
  13. There’s other players we can get the ball to.
  14. 14-3 Super Bowl Champs.
  15. Hollister certainly has the potential to explode for a monster season. I find it strange how his YPR so low, he seems to be very athletic. Athletic enough to the point where Buffalo can start running some Twin TE sets and power run packages with Knox in there. TE is a funny position, it seems to be a position where it takes time for guys to develop and mature. He could have a big season, like Knox, once again, he’s very athletic and has positional versatility. Could play TE, could play FB and can also offer a lot as a receiving FB/H-Back as well.
  16. Yup. I admire you for not judging him. Some crimes are unforgivable, especially against children and also the shedding of innocent blood and those sort of atrocities, etc. What Sherman did was wrong, but once again, he’ll pay. There will likely be some sort of medications that he’ll be prescribed, which likely means he’ll be seeing a doctor for the rest of his life. Meaning there will also be therapy involved as well. Likely forever. To those who say that people with mental illness do not pay for their actions, what do you think the outcome would be for Sherman had he had no illness at all? A year in jail? With the kind of money he has, he may have just gotten probation and let off easy anyways. Mental illness actually hurts him here. Once again, this man will likely be seeing therapists and doctors for the rest of his life. Many players around the NFL have done much worst and after they serve their 6 game suspension, life goes on as it were before.
  17. Even with mental health issues you will be held accountable, at least on some level. Don’t pretend like someone with mental health issues will not pay in one way or another if they did something wrong. Instead of jails theres long term psychiatric hospitals, nursing homes etc. I suppose that so and sos level of functionability is what determines the outcome, but don’t pretend that the Nicholas Cruz’s and the weirdo “Joker” mass shooter will be let off easy, they’re in medical prisons for life and they should be, but the ones who may have acted in a way like Sherman did, there will likely be stipulations upon his release. Court ordered therapy, medications, abstinence from alcohol, AA meetings etc.
  18. Yeah, I just don’t tolerate people blowing up on me and yelling at me. I keep my cool and when it’s over, I walk away. I don’t raise my voice at anyone, so in my mind nobody should raise their voice at me. But like you said, he should just walk away, unless he truly did something that rightfully triggered his wife.
  19. Seems like our unofficial FB/H-Back. He’s a TE only in title, not so much in nature. I think his major competition is Jacob Hollister whom I feel can play FB/H-Back/TE. One thing Gilliam has going for him though is his versatility. He can play STs and that greatly helps him. Can I justify Gilliam over Knox, Hollister and Sweeney? No. If we keep 4 TEs though maybe. But I don’t think we’re done at TE. We made a play at Ertz, but it didn’t work out, maybe he gets cut and we sign him, but who knows? If that doesn’t happen I could see us adding another guy after the roster cuts/trim downs or maybe Beane signs someone from someone else’s practice squad. All in all, I’d be surprised if Gillian makes the team.
  20. One thing I liked about Davis is his feet. For such a big guy he really has some nimble feet. Even in tight windows, whether on the sidelines or in the back of the end zone, he always gets both feet down. I see him as a reliable #2. Maybe a 65-70 catch kind of guy, will probably get 1,000yds a few times in his career. Definitely an awesome red zone target. So long as he uses his body to shield away defenders, I think he will be a trustworthy target for Allen. I’m not going to get too carried away with it though.
  21. Dudes making $15M/yr and wants a new contract? Whaaaaaaaa?
  22. Devante Adams and DeAndre Hopkins are great, no doubt about it, but Diggs is exactly the kind of WR a guy like Allen needs. They match each other’s skill set perfectly. Diggs is very good at these quick last minute pivots and hitches to break free and Allen has the velocity to just rifle it in there. It’s almost not fair. They really are perfect for each other. Barring a catastrophic injury to either one of them, I could see both of them ending up in the HOF. I don’t think it’s just Allen who makes Diggs great or Diggs who makes Allen great, they are both elite talents who make each other great. Both are top 5 talents in their own regards.
  23. Central NY in my mind is mainly Bills fans, with Jets and Giants fans sprinkled in.
  24. I feel bad for Sherman, he’s a smart dude but it seems he fell on hard times. Often times your smarter people are also the loneliest. We live in a society that prides itself on ignorance and stupidity, critical thinkers are no longer welcomed. Factor that in with celebrity and the parasites that come along with it, that want 5% of this or 10% of that of everything you make. Or the fans who ask you to pose for a picture every time you walk down the street.. I can imagine how lonely that must feel. Who knows the reality of the situation between him and his “loved ones” who try and nickel and dime him out of every cent he makes. The ones you thought cared for you have now fractured away after you’ve realized that they simply latched onto you for money and not for who you are as a person. The first sign of trouble they leave, even after all the good you’ve done them. I feel sorry for those with money and celebrity. At least my broke ass can tell who really likes me, which isn’t many. 😁
