Time will only tell. He is certainly someone I’d like to see on the Bills long term obviously. I think the only way he ascends into greatness is if he has better players around him.

Beane anticipates Cole Beasley being back next season
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Back in 2019, I was a big fan of Cole Beasley when he signed here. We got two great years out of him and I deeply respected him for his decision to not get vaccinated, but he was terrible this year, flat out. We need a huge upgrade in the slot. Dump Cole, bring in Christian Kirk and draft a talented player in the draft on top of that.. Josh needs better weapons than this. I tip my hat to Beane for signing him in the first place, but the only way Cole should be in a Bills uniform next year is if he takes a 50% pay cut and we keep him on as our 4th WR. -
He’s a good player, not a great one. He’s very good at times.

I wonder if Jim Schwartz would be interested? 🤔

The distinction must be made. Do you mean as our HC or OC? I could understand hiring Payton completely if you mean as our OC, that’s highly understandable, but as our HC? That has me scratching my head.

Frazier getting second interview with Joe Schoen and NYG
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, you would think that Daboll would prefer Flores, but Flores will likely get a HC job elsewhere. Regardless, I think the Bills will be forced to fire some staff, including Frazier, maybe Daboll and Schoen will just hire some of these people and Beane/McD will allow them to make lateral moves. -
Frazier getting second interview with Joe Schoen and NYG
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Could Beane and McD be possibly showing Frazier the door after that 13 second meltdown and Daboll is willing to take Frazier on as his DC? Hail Murray and 13 seconds.. inexplicable. -
I would take him as a scout or maybe as an assistant coach, but I’m not sure if Fitz really wants to spend all that time away from his family.

I wonder if a really desperate team would give us two #2s for him? We are really burdened by our cap situation, Edmunds is making $12M next year, I wonder how much space that would free up for us? Replace Addison, Hughes and Butler with younger players on rookie deals. 🤔 Pleasure to make your acquaintance, sir. 🤝

Was there ever a player more polarizing on this Bills roster than Edmund has been in the last 2-3 years? I have a love hate relationship with him. On one hand I love him as a coverage guy, he truly flashes elite potential there but I am absolutely sick and tired of this guy shooting the wrong gaps. Is his lack of production there simply a product of a really soft McD/Leslie Frazier defense? I mean, how can he shoot any gaps when our coaches have him 20 yds off the ball? Ultimately I like Edmunds at a price. I do think we should keep him at say $10M-$11M. Give him a contract in the neighborhood of what Milano got and I’m happy with it. Anything more than that then they should just trade him and at least get something for him. What are your thoughts Bills fans? Should we extend him? Trade him? Or let him walk?

If I had to pick one it would be Christian Kirk. He would go great in the slot with Diggs and David on the outside. I also wouldn’t mind it if we brought OJ Howard in to backup Dawson Knox. Ultimately I think we go WR/TE in FA, it’s looking to be a deep draft for CB so I’m hoping we can go there RD1 and maybe draft another one RD3/RD4. Dane Jackson and Levi Wallace starting for us can’t happen again.

Good point, I thought about that too. My first choice would be JC Jackson but we’re talking Tre White money for sure. Gilmore at the right price is not a bad idea.

Chiefs fans donating to childrens hospital

Cool. I hope they still lose in the Super Bowl. -
Couple corners, couple WRs, a high quality MLB, few nose tackles.

If one coordinator was guaranteed to walk…

This is gold. 😆 -
Look, I’m as salty as anyone. I feel like if Buffalo beat the Chiefs we would have easily won the Super Bowl this year, but what happened to our Bills isn’t something that’s exclusive only to Buffalo. Let’s try not to make it out to be like we’re some cursed team and woe me! It isn’t like this is something that’s new to the NFL. How long did the Cowboys get whooped on by the 49ers before they finally broke free and won three rings? How long did Elway, Aikman and Young have to battle through big losses before they finally won one? And what a great group of guys to lump Allen in with, he’s going into his 5th year and the whole league is starting to recognize that Josh Allen is a prolific player and in 10-15 years this guy will be in the hall. I would be upset if we were a team like the Titans or the 49ers and this was our last shot, but Bills fans please bear this in mind, a true QB is hard to find. We have another 10-15 cracks at this. The Bills/Chiefs rivalry reminds me SO much of the 49ers/Cowboys rivalry in the early to mid 90s. The Chiefs are like our big brother and in order for us to get a ring, we got to go through them, but let’s not act like this is impossible. I don’t care who you are or how good your team is, this is the NFL, you’re going to get whooped occasionally, every team in the NFL does. How many times did Elway get knocked down before he won two back-to-back Super Bowls? He lost two Super Bowls in 87 and 88 (sound familiar?) but the dude did not give up, he kept on fighting for 10 years after that before finally winning TWO right before he retired! Bottom line is, even WINNERS get knocked down. The ONLY way you’re a loser is if you don’t get back up again. My message to the Chiefs: See you again next year, we got a man child coming.

Do we now become a “goto” destination for free agents.
ghostwriter replied to billvernsays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, no, maybe. I would say that’s a big yes though for WRs/TEs/RBs that want to sign on for a 1 year prove it deal. -
It’s a mixed bag. Our #1 issue is our coaching staff on defense, not so much the players themselves. That’s bad on McD, not Beane. I can’t think of a more unimaginative defense, they’re stat queens, that’s about it.

It’s time to trade for an Edge Rusher
ghostwriter replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
Morse was good though and Humphrey had health issues. Most players don’t produce at a high level year 1. -
How many chances does McDermott have left?
ghostwriter replied to Igotbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he fires not one member of his coaching staff and we go through the same thing we did last night and like the Hail Murray pass previously before that, he should be gone. He must hold his staff accountable. This shouldn’t be a good old boy network, hire the best man for the job. If he fires not one member of his staff after last night’s game, I have serious concerns about him. This is arguably the hardest part of any head coach’s job, I get it, but it must be done.
