  1. TEs are optimal for blocking though. Imagine if we only have two TEs and one goes down, this severely hampers our red zone packages. We can’t run the option anymore, QB sweep, dive plays etc.
  2. Well, I think the Bills may add someone after roster cuts, but I could be wrong though.
  3. A new stadium marries the Bills to Buffalo for the next 30 years. All the rumors about the Bills moving will go away.
  4. I am so relieved that we missed out on JJ Watt. Thank God the draft fell as it did. Bills look deep on DL, not only on DL but especially at DE, which is one of the hardest positions to fill. We’re locked and loaded.
  5. I think Boogie, Rousseau and Epenesa will be on the Bills for a looooong time.
  6. Probably not. I don’t think we will need to put up too many points because our defense is too good. We will probably win 75% of our games if we put up 25-26ppg. 30ppg and we probably go to the Super Bowl.
  7. It wouldn’t surprise me. I’ve been saying it for months now. CB is obviously our weakest unit. Tre is a superstar and Levi is a solid starter but there is little to no depth behind them. Is Siran Neal more than just a big nickel? Would McCloud or Jackson be able to float sink or swim time? Ultimately I do think Buffalo will add another corner, likely as other teams start trimming their rosters. There could be salary cap casualties, other teams may be deeper at corner than we are and one shakes free and I wouldn’t rule out a trade either. In the end, CB/DB/secondary is Coach McDermott’s forte. I would consider it folly to think that he isn’t aware of what he has there. A lot of our guys may not be household names, but he is aware of what he has there and I doubt he would overlook that area once again. I could also see another TE added or perhaps even a WR as well. We do have some quality at WR but if a really solid vet shakes free, it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see someone added in that event. Every year solid players become available via roster trim downs. So ultimately, in the end, I think McD/Beane will have to play the board and see who becomes available, but no, I do not think we’re done yet, not even close.
  8. Andre Smith looks like he could be a gem, but it’s too early to comment further on that. He had a great game, no doubt but it’s just one game. Matakevich looked awesome as well. Once again, it’s early.. but I think we got great depth at LB.
  9. I’m a bigger guy, bigger than most anyways, but I like to carry the mentality of a mouse. I try to deescalate these kinds of situations when I can. It doesn’t matter if you’re 5’5 or if you’re 6’7, I’m going to try and handle every situation peacefully. If you lay hands on me or my family or an innocent person, the tiger will come out of it’s cage though.
  10. I hope they keep Davis Webb. I see great value in him as our potential long term backup QB. Trubisky is a guy I was high on coming out of the draft and he is a guy I wanted us to sign this past offseason. I haven’t given up on him, but Webb looked better. It may not be a bad idea to keep three QBs. Webb is decent. In many ways he’s a poor man’s Josh Allen. I do suspect that Trubisky will rebound though. If not, at this point, Webb looks better. As far as DL, I think you did a pretty good job, but I would like to see us keep Daryl Johnson. Physically he’s built a lot like Groot. Will he ever be a good starting lineman? No, but I do think he can be a 4-5 sack per year kind of rotational lineman and he is also a key contributor on STs. I think fans overlook that. Put Mario Addison on IR to start the year, maybe we can game the rules a bit and hang onto as many of our guys as we can. I would also like to point out that there may be some surprise cuts. There’s no doubt in my mind that Buffalo may be eyeing cuts from around the league, mainly at RB, WR, TE and CB. I don’t think we’re done yet. Maybe a few trades happen?
  11. If it was me, I’d cut/trade Addison. Keep Hughes as our veteran/leader type presence on defense. Daryl Johnson is probably the weakest link, not Basham, but Johnson is a very good STs player and he is also a quality backup lineman. I do think there’s a chance that he develops into a quality rotational guy. If the Bills cut him, I think they’ll regret it down the line. Ultimately I think we need to see a youth movement along the DL. Groot, Epenesa, Basham, Obada and Johnson are our future. Even without Hughes and Addison in the game, the Bills DL looked dominant and deep all along that entire DL through all 4 quarters in the game. So why not deal Addison for picks? It seems like the transition this year for our younger players will be effortles, so why hang onto older vets who cost more and will not provide as much juice?
  12. No doubt and how many snaps did he play? Sewell will likely be in the top echelon of linemen for the next 7-8 years. What Greg did was impressive.
  13. I would assume that Daryl Williams would take over on the left side, but I am not convinced yet that that will happen.
  14. Mhm, yep. Can’t say I disagree, but I think our DL killed us last year. I thought our safeties were going to get killed. I really felt bad for them and of course that affects TreDavious and Levi, but these dudes should be feasting on QBs this year. This Bills DL is decadently rich with talent, from 1st string all the way to 3RD string I’m expecting Tre to be top 20 next year.
  15. He doesn’t look to be in football shape. Looks like he lost quite a bit of muscle.
  16. Tre had a bit of a down year but he was still very good! Can’t wait to see this dude ball hawking behind this DL.
  17. Had Boogie not of landed on him, it would have been considered a great play by him. Also, it seems like he held his ground very well. All in all, I think this Bills DL is by far the deepest unit on the entire team. Seemed like no matter what the rotation was, they did good, real good. I’m also surprised by the depth we have at LB. Ultimately I’m hoping we can add a corner or two after rosters start to get trimmed down. I think this is our weakest unit.
  18. He is good, not great, but he is certainly our best back. I’m not a big fan of anyone behind him though.
