With Allen, can the Bills de-emphasize skill positions?
ghostwriter replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Brady had better targets than you think. Even in Tampa Bay, when both Godwin and Evans were out, they lost 9-0 to the Saints of all teams. -
Offseason Trade Prediction: We acquire Saquan
ghostwriter replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dude, teams stacked like 20 million guys in the box against him, yet the NYG still gave the poor dude like 50 carries a game. Poor guy, any RB is going to get killed in that situation. Thank the Lord that Gettleman passed on Josh Allen for Barkley, but with all due respect though, Barkley was a very rare prospect at RB, very well deserving of being a top 10 pick. Barkley could very well have a renaissance period here, but would Daboll give him up? I think not. -
Offseason Trade Prediction: We acquire Saquan

My friend, I made a thread about this months ago and I got torched for this. Your timing is a bit better than mine, that’s for darn sure. Anyways, Saquan could have an impact on this team the way Shady did, I feel that strongly about it. Except instead of having Tyrod Taylor at QB we’d have Josh Allen. Saquan would easily be a feature back here and he would actually have lanes to go through because of our passing attack and with Singletary backing him up it could get really really scary for defenses. I think the highest I would go for Saquan is a conditional 3rd that can become a 2nd if certain benchmarks are hit and also if Barkley would sign a long term contract with us. The only reason he failed with the Giants is because their offense was built like it was from the early 1900s and also because Dan Jones sucks. He was fine and showed lots of promise when Eli was QB. Yes please. -
Offseason Trade Prediction: We acquire Saquan

I would offer them a 4th. 1 year left on his deal, big salary, had a down year, but yes, for the right price I would be interested. -
Agreed. People can say what they want about O’Brien but Deshaun Watson developed rather nicely under him in Houston. He also runs the same offense we’re running now. Coached under Belichick and Saban.. Sound familiar? Way more polished as a coach than Daboll ever was, much better credentials too.
-
He would not be our HC, he would be our OC and what you’re talking about is completely irrelevant because that’s not the capacity in which we would be using him in.

DISCLAIMER: I fully expect to be tarred and feathered for my opinion below, but it is what it is. Proceed with caution! ⚠️ In the spirit of this thread and in respects to @wagne591, I think if there ever were such a coach his name would be Bill O’Brien who is currently the OC/QB coach at Alabama. He was successful at PSU as a HC and he’s coached under both Belichick and Saban and he was the HC for the Texans for a number of years, but flamed out terribly as their GM, so I suppose he could tell McD about what not to do there. Ultimately however, O’Brien also has experience with the Erhardt-Perkins offense, which is what we’re currently running and that’s the offense that Josh is most familiar with. Another good thing about O’Brien too is that he will not get any HC offers any time soon. So we essentially have a quality OC locked down for the foreseeable future and we will have stability on the offensive side of the ball. Meaning Josh Allen would have a permanent, high quality staff around him for the long term future giving us more continuity and less coaching turnover and who knows? Maybe Dorsey could stay on as our QB coach as well? In the end, I value the experience of someone like O’Brien and he has a great pedigree. That wealth of knowledge is only going to make this team richer. McD would have an overly qualified “right hand man” on offense that he could lean on. Keep in mind that Buffalo is McDermott’s first head coaching job and a guy like O’Brien could kind of help McD learn and understand the nuances of being a HC. Anyways, try not to rip into me too hard guys and I know for some of you that may be impossible, but I’m hearing that Belichick is going to target O’Brien as his OC if McDaniels goes to Nevada. So my idea can’t be that stupid. 🤡

Qb position who are going to be in the room
ghostwriter replied to Greatdane21's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Trubisky is gone. I wouldn’t mind Jacoby Brissett though. I think the dude can play and as far as backup QBs go, he is certainly one of the better ones in the league. He has a similar skill set to Josh Allen, albeit a watered down one, but still a solid option nonetheless. -
Mason Rudolph has talent. I’m not saying he will be good, but I don’t think he will be terrible either.

JuJu Smith-Schuster interested in joining the Chiefs?
ghostwriter replied to extrahammer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly, I want him on the Bills but last time I spoke up on it I got like 10 eye roll emojis from Bills mafia. I have no idea about him as a person, but as a player he would be legit here. I’d certainly rather have him in the slot than Beasley. -
Who?

Jeff Fisher Takes Michigan Panthers HC Job (USFL)
ghostwriter replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let’s be honest here, Fisher is a really mediocre coach. Maybe since where he is going to is a couple steps down talent wise, he may have some success there, but then again, it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s a .500 coach there too. -
Beane anticipates Cole Beasley being back next season

Drake London played for USC and he’s incredible. I want a CB RD1, but in the event that we went WR there I would be very happy with him. -
Do you want KC to cruise to the Super Bowl title?
ghostwriter replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why would I want them to win a Super Bowl? They’re our arch nemesis, I want them to lose in a humiliating way to destroy their psyche. -
Boy, how I undervalued the punter position for so long. If we had Brian Moorman in his prime we would be unstoppable.
-
He could just be full of hot air after the loss. He could mean that many of his teammates will be gone next year. Dude’s only 29, he’ll be 30 next year, he clearly has another 2-3 years at a high level. He was our best lineman behind Dawkins, hopefully Josh can convince him to stay. Maybe Beane can convert some of his salary into a bonus for him? He would be a big loss and he was fantastic this year, especially on pull plays which is an underrated aspect to line play and it’s something this team relies on and does very well.

Beane anticipates Cole Beasley being back next season
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Christian Kirk, perhaps? A receiver in the draft? I’m not against keeping Cole at a cut price, but it’s fairly obvious to me at this point that his career is winding down. Dude almost dropped 4ypc off of his average. -
Beane anticipates Cole Beasley being back next season
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
8.5ypc is very terrible. He pretty much catches the ball and then gets dropped like a sack of potatoes. Wouldn’t you rather we have a home run threat in the slot? Someone that can take it to the house every time? -
As far as a spy on Mahomes is concerned, I think a DB or hybrid player is best suited here and not a LB or a DE. Mahomes is not a big guy, nor is he very strong.

Chiefs.

This defense needs at least two CBs. Apparently this draft is really deep at corner. Levi and Dane are great backups, but neither of these guys can compete against elite receivers. Not to mention Tre is coming off an ACL, I think at this moment I think the Bills will draft one RD1 and will double dip later on.
-
Time will only tell. He is certainly someone I’d like to see on the Bills long term obviously. I think the only way he ascends into greatness is if he has better players around him.

Beane anticipates Cole Beasley being back next season
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Back in 2019, I was a big fan of Cole Beasley when he signed here. We got two great years out of him and I deeply respected him for his decision to not get vaccinated, but he was terrible this year, flat out. We need a huge upgrade in the slot. Dump Cole, bring in Christian Kirk and draft a talented player in the draft on top of that.. Josh needs better weapons than this. I tip my hat to Beane for signing him in the first place, but the only way Cole should be in a Bills uniform next year is if he takes a 50% pay cut and we keep him on as our 4th WR.
