Isaiah McKenzie aka, Lil Dirty, sounds like he’s moving on
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
They see him as a bottom of the 2nd round kind of guy. I’m not sure if he will be there in RD3, but he’s an incredible talent and would give us a bonafide slot receiver behind Diggs and Davis. I would love to see Beasley mentor him for a year before his contract runs out. -
Alvin Kamara arrested in Vegas after Pro Bowl
ghostwriter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s bad character, no doubt. Did he cross an unforgivable line though? No. Punk kids get into fights because of pride, it’s much easier to just walk away. I will say this though, I do see an opportunity to get him on the cheap after this. He is an elite play maker and I believe in second chances. Kamara would supercharge that RB position and Singletary would be the perfect backup to him. But once again, shame on him for acting the way he did, but like most young men his age, he didn’t see the long play, but I think after getting suspended he’ll learn quickly. People mature and change over time. -

I would love it if the Bills went after Wan’Dale Robinson the WR from Kentucky. He is Lil Dirty + Beezer all wrapped up in one. He is that explosive slot receiver that we need on offense. -

Buffalo Bills’ salary cap ramifications of cutting DT Star Lotulelei
ghostwriter replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, sir. I suppose I disagree with Beane then? I thought Lotulelei was solid, if not more than solid. Probably his best season as a Bill. I think the biggest problem that our D faces is the soft cookie cutter scheme that we’re running. The fact that McD hasn’t fired Frazier yet to me is a huge lack of accountability on his part. Until this Bills team gets more aggressive and starts attacking, our players will continue to languish as a result of it. -
Beach chairs are back! (Kromer hired as OL Coach)
ghostwriter replied to MWK's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m wondering if he’ll also act as our run game coordinator as well? Obviously Dorsey has tons of experience with QBs and the passing game, but I’m wondering if Kromer will help him come up with some run plays as well? He’s a nice guy for Dorsey to lean on though, that’s for sure. -

If anything extend him another year to lower his cap. He had a good year for us I thought. -
The WR FA list for 2022 is very intriguing…
ghostwriter replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree so much about Kirk! -
Anyone else find it curious that most fans think that Allen has about 10 years left with his current playing style? But many gloss over the fact that Edmunds is in his 5th year at a position that is way more physical and violent than QB? I don’t care if Edmunds declared for the draft at 19, by the time he’s 30 he’ll be ready to hang them up.

FA Target Wishlist - Cordarrelle Patterson
ghostwriter replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, Gunner, my dear sparring partner, allow me to dissect your post like a dead frog in a high school science class. Godwin 1. As far as Godwin is concerned, you do realize that he is coming off of a torn ACL, right? Not only did he tear his ACL, but he tore it towards the end of the season and to make matters worse, it typically takes at least a year for someone to recover from such an injury and that’s if they’re ever the same again at all. 2. Also, you pointed out that Godwin is looking at $18M/yr. While that may have been true before he got injured, that is not even remotely true for him after blowing out his knee. 3. Godwin was in a contract year before he got hurt, now that he is damaged goods, he will 100% absolutely and unequivocally will not receive a huge contract. He will be on a 1/yr prove it deal. I will admit that 31 teams will be fighting for his services, but he will not be going to a team with a QB carousel, he will be going to a team with an elite QB like Allen, Mahomes, Rodgers, etc. As far as Edmunds is concerned: 1. We should easily be able to squeeze a 2nd out of him, no matter what scheme that team plays in. You will not find a better raw prospect than him in RD2. 2. The Raiders have had terrible luck at LB. They are extremely needy in terms of LB. Why not take a gamble here? As far as Mike Gesicki is concerned: 1. It is a very unlikely reality that he escapes Miami, but in the event that he did, he should 100% be on Buffalo’s radar. You bring up blocking, but you do realize that he is 6’6 265lbs right? Not only does he run like a gazelle, he has the raw talent and size to be a premier blocker as well. 2. It’s also worth pointing out that $11M/yr, is his projected contract value, which would absolutely be in line with what the Bills could afford. 3. Also, Gesicki has put up very solid, if not very good numbers with terrible QB play in Miami. With Allen as his QB, Gesicki may very well be our Kelce. As far as Leighton Vander-Esch or “LVE” is concerned. I knew not that he was a FA, but since is a FA, it makes my desire for us to sign him to be all the more enticing. Anyways, we’ve been back and forth over the years, I remember very vividly when you went after me for wanting Josh Allen way back when. Every time I told you that he was the better prospect than Josh Rosen you ripped me post after post, but since you are this boards honorary self proclaimed GM and draft guru, I tend to wonder about your accuracy at this point. I find it hilarious that you rip me time after time when you have the Bills taking a 1yr wonder with a torn ACL in the first round! HAHAHA! Anyways, thanks for critiquing me, it was good for a laugh! I don’t really take your posts seriously and I find it funny that so many do. -
Texans getting closer to hiring Josh McCown as Head Coach
ghostwriter replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
This seems odd. I suppose if the Texans really wanted McCown on their staff, why not as an assistant? Or at the very most, why not as their QB coach? Very strange to me. -

Thurman Thomas was far faster than I thought he was...
ghostwriter replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thurman had very good speed, not elite speed. IIRC he played his entire career with a severely damaged ligament in his knee, which is the only reason why he fell to us in the second round. Lord knows how good he would have been if that knee was 100% healthy. I think what made Thurman great was his sense of balance. He was able to absorb huge hits while being able to recover his footing without falling over. Very low center of gravity and the man was an absolute nightmare as a receiver. Had he not played RB, I feel strongly that he could of played WR. Even in today’s NFL, Thurman would very likely be one of the top 2-3 receiving RBs in the league right up there with McCaffery and Kamara. -
FA Target Wishlist - Cordarrelle Patterson
ghostwriter replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
My Bills offseason: Trades • Bills trade Tremaine Edmunds to the Las Vegas Raiders for pick #53 in the 2022 draft and a 2023 4th. • Bills trade their 2022 4th to the Dallas Cowboys for LB Leighton Vander Esch and then they sign him to a 3yr $30M deal. Splash signings • Buffalo signs TE Mike Gesicki formerly of the Miami Dolphins to a 4yr $45M deal to compete with Dawson Knox. This gives Buffalo a very well rounded TE room. Gesicki has been very good for the Dolphins and he may get tagged, but I think with Allen as his QB, Gesicki would quickly go from very good territory to ELITE territory. And this doesn’t mean that I would not re-sign Dawson Knox as well. The NFL is quickly going back to a power run league and having two very good TEs is of a huge benefit for the Bills going forward.. Low risk, high reward signings • Bills sign FA WR Chris Godwin formerly of the Tampa Bay Bucs to a 1yr $8M prove it deal. He’s coming off a torn ACL and Brady has retired. He would be salivating over a chance to play with Josh Allen so he can cash in next year. Bills may be able to sign him to a long term deal at that point and maybe at a cut price. • Diggs/Godwin/Davis/Gesicki/Knox gives Buffalo the firepower they need to outdo Kansas City. Draft • It seems that this draft is extremely deep at CB. I think that Buffalo needs to go here twice. RD1 and ideally RD3 as well. Maybe even use one of our RD2 picks to trade down for extra picks to do so. • Even with the addition of LVE, Buffalo could use more depth here. Someone who could turn into a potential starter while also thriving on STs in the process. Would allow us to cut some of our older more expensive veterans. (Klein and Matekavich) • Drafting an interior OL is not a bad idea as well. We can free up some cap space by dumping Feliciano and rolling with Bates going into 2022. Would take Boettger back on a cut price. • RB is obviously a need as well. I LOVE Singletary, but we need a solid starter to rotate in with him. Moss could be that guy, but more competition is needed here. Positions of need going into the draft: •CB •NT •LB •IOL •CB •RB Keep in mind that we would have two RD2 picks in my offseason, but we would not have a 4th. Could also trade down to accumulate more draft picks. -
Would you guys have any interest in the Cowboys Leighton Vander Esch? Maybe send them a 4th round pick and sign him to a modest 3yr $24M deal or something in that neighborhood? Maybe move Edmunds for two 2nd round picks? Anyways, he is a guy a liked a lot more than Edmunds coming out. We get a solid starter at half the price. Cuts our salary cap down and we get multiple draft picks in the process. Give me LVE all day over Edmunds. Less money, more production, more draft picks.

Don’t hold your breath.. I’m trying to decide if he reminds me more of Russell Wilson or Tua Tagovoila. I like his ability to extend plays, he has an okay arm with pretty good touch, but what is this kid’s ceiling? Very undersized, physically his skill set is under matched, what’s the ceiling here? Ultimately when it comes to QBs, I always veer to the side of the players who are athletic freaks. Can’t teach 6’5 with a 99mph fastball. Any good coach worth his salt should go for the athletic anomalies, not the “pro ready” QBs with low ceilings. With this kid I see neither..

Brian Flores suing NFL, NY Giants, Dolphins, Broncos.
ghostwriter replied to BillsFan4's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that Daboll by an overwhelming margin was the better hire, but I think they made a great, great mistake by not hiring Flores as their Assistant HC/defensive coordinator. The dude beat the Patriots multiple times with Tua Tagovoila at QB, he’s a great coach. I will also say that had the Giants not of hired Brian Daboll, that Flores should have gotten the job. However, and a big however at that. Is it racist that the Giants coveted Brian Daboll? Absolutely not! We all knew that Daboll was going to be a hot coach this offseason. We all knew he was as good as gone! This guy was the premier HC candidate in the NFL. I mean, look at Dorsey for example, the understudy of Brian Daboll was in high, high, demand! Seven teams were ready to make him their OC. Call a spade a spade, Daboll was/is the best HC available on the market. Was it wrong for the Giants to say that this was their #1 guy going into the offseason? Absolutely not! That’s a pile of hot steaming hogwash! I’m not so sure about the other two teams in the lawsuit though, but the Giants are 100% blameless in my eyes. The Mara family are the heads of a legendary organization, the only mistake they made was when they didn’t hire Flores to be their DC. Daboll was the pick of the litter, we all know it. Flores would of had to of blown them away to get the job. If Aaron Rodgers and say Lamar Jackson were FAs, who would you sign? Same difference, just in the coaching world. Make no bones about it though, Flores is a great coach, but the Giants should not be a part of this lawsuit, they gave him a fair shake. -
Do you guys think they will just promote Shea Tierney to take over the QB/coach position? Or if they’ll hire from outside of the organization? It seems that he is lacking quite a bit in experience, but maybe they want continuity? Guess we all start somewhere. Any news here?

Brian Flores suing NFL, NY Giants, Dolphins, Broncos.
ghostwriter replied to BillsFan4's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t know how this is going to end up, but my heart breaks for Flores. I think he’s a very good coach and I’ve had nothing but love and respect for him because of the way he played the Patriots for all those years down in Miami. Ultimately this is a guy that I was hoping would replace Frazier, so at this point I just really feel bad for him and I hope he lands somewhere. God bless him. 🙏 -
Bills ability to draft and develop D linemen
ghostwriter replied to Comebackkid's topic in The Stadium Wall
Including the playoffs, Boogie had 3.5 sacks opposed to Rousseau’s 4.0. The only difference is Boogie didn’t get one single start nor did he dress for half of the season. I’m not going to mince words here, I like both. I was very high on Boogie in the draft, I had a first round grade on him (for those that care), Rousseau I was not so high on, but I’ve seen enough at this point to admit that I was wrong. Rousseau in my mind is an ideal fit at OLB in the 3-4 and he would probably be a star in such a position. So I see him as kind of a DE/LB hybrid, even in our scheme, at least in our base 4-3 defense which we never run. I do think he has value playing OLB at least in zone coverage or as a blitzer or even as an enforcer in terms of stopping the power run RBs in the league. Boogie in my mind is a pure DE, he can play either side. He holds the point of attack very well, has a nice motor and spin move and can set the edge. I would like to see him work on his swim move more and in my mind he could be an 8-10 sack per year kind of guy. I think the biggest thing about Boogie is he never gives up, he’s like the energizer bunny and fights through ‘till the end, even after he gets beat, his second effort causes him to make plays. Basically he’s an effort guy and has a decent yet limited skill set. I think he will be a starter for us long term given his effort stays the same. -
Bills ability to draft and develop D linemen
ghostwriter replied to Comebackkid's topic in The Stadium Wall
I truly think that it’s coaching to blame here. I do think that the addition of Eric Washington has taken away from the sting though. Oliver has improved under him and given time, I think that Boogie and Rousseau will come along as well (but I’m not so sure about Epenesa). Part of the problem is we’re playing these soft vanilla ice cream defenses where our back seven are sitting a good 5-10yds off of the ball. I understand that concept if we’re in obvious passing situations, but why we’re not blitzing Edmunds and Milano against power run teams is mystifying to me. No wonder these guys never make any TFL. Also, speaking of Rousseau, I disagree strongly with the way he’s being used. He is 6’6 250lbs, he is as strong as an ox and he’s very fast too, but why aren’t we blitzing him from the SLB when we play in our base 4-3? Especially when we’re going up against the Derrick Henry’s of the world. He should be used like the way the Bucs use Shaquille Barrett. I would argue that Rousseau could even drop in coverage given his weight stays the same and he really works at it. I also rebuke the frequency in which we play in zone coverage. I get it, it masques the deficiencies of our secondary, mainly at corner but at some point you have to play in man so we can put an extra safety in the box against run teams. They don’t want to give up the big play, I get it. Death by one cut or a thousand cuts? But ultimately you have to allow your players to make plays or at least mix it up and play some good situational football. -
