  1. OJ Simpson is arguably the best player in Bills history, he went what? #1 overall? Are you telling me if a talent like OJ, Eric Dickerson or Adrian Peterson was there, you wouldn't take them in the first round? Are you being serious or are you just that prideful and stubborn that you won't admit you're taking a stupid position on the matter? I'm not saying we have to take a RB in the 1st round, I'm just countering the myth that RBs should not be taken in the 1st. We need to draft one, whether we keep Shady McCoy or not, we need one regardless. RB is one position that can turn around a franchise over night. Only position that can have more of an impact is QB. Now if you have QB situated, I'd give the edge to WR over RB but QB, RB and WR are hands down the most important positions in football. I'm not saying there the only positions that matter but I think it's really important to have superstars at those 3 positions.
  2. It's kind of funny you say that, I sold an '06 last year and bought a '15, I'm actually saving money by upgrading. I sold my '06 to a dealership right before the head gasket was about to blow. Let somebody else deal with the repairs. With a 30 year old RB, it's the same situation. Even if you do keep Shady, it would be very wise to add a starter quality RB, just in case.
  3. That's not even the point, even if you think Ezekiel sucks, which is a moronic view btw, there are doooooozens other 1st-2nd round picks that carried their franchise. To take a position off your board because of a past failure is unbelievably stupid. Given our track record, we might as well just forfeit our draft picks if that's your argument.
  4. If that's the way the board falls, I'm fine with that but if we pass on an Ezekiel Elliott or Adrian Peterson because we want to reach on a run of the mill DE, I got a problem with that. Bobby was against drafting a RB in RDS 1-2 period, I just think that's such an extremely limiting draft philosophy. What happens if another Le'Veon Bell or Shady McCoy is there? That's my point, of course you take them.
  5. That's exactly what it is though, if we can't identify a QB, the only alternative is a dominant running game, I just don't see any way around that fact. Shady is going on 30, I'd ride him for another year but target a dominant option behind him.
  6. Outside of QB, I cannot think of one position that can immediately impact a team as much as RB. WR can make a bigger impact but it's contingent on a QB. Unless a QB somehow falls into our laps, our best chance at making the playoffs is a high power running team. No need to cut Shady though, I'd draft a RB high and spread the work load, that's our best bet.
  7. BS. Ezekiel Elliot changed the Cowboys, Adrian Peterson the Vikings and arguably the BEST BILLS PLAYER EVER was drafted in the FIRST round. Just because we missed on Spiller, it doesn't mean you never draft that position high again. By that logic, let's never draft a QB high again because we missed on Losman or never take a LT again because Mike Williams was a bust. What an idiotic and irrational way of thinking.
  8. Don't need high picks to get any position if you draft well. If a RB is BPA in the 1st round you take him. Obviously if a QB is there that you like, by all means it makes sense but to completely eliminate the idea of taking all RBs in the 1st round based off of position alone is such a dumb statement that I can't even wrap my head around it.
  9. Are you kidding? RB along with QB and WR is one of the most important and high impact positions for a football team.
  10. Actually, good people do tend to be more successful in life. Blaming an owner for 17 years of dysfunction before he was even here is a moronic thing to do. He hasn't even been here for 5 years yet.
  11. This is harsh. You can blame McDermott and Beane collectively but you can't fault the Pegula family, they're good people and I think one day they'll be hosting a Lombardy trophy.
  12. He thought Peterman was better than Tyrod, it makes me wonder. How many other players are on the bench that should be starting?
  13. I'm definitely not happy we lost, I couldn't help but laugh at the fans predicting 275 yards 3 TDs yada yada yada. Maybe that makes me a bad fan. I knew Peterman wouldn't light it up but i never expected a level of suck to this degree, can't help but laugh at this franchise, what a joke.
  14. No, he doesn't. He's not great but he is an ok manager.
  15. Fans don't know any better, the Bills coaching staff should though, they see the kid every day.
  16. He'll be out of the NFL in 2-3 years, after this I just don't see how McDermott doesn't lose the locker room, he looks really really stupid.
  17. So you think Peterman will average 13 yards per completion?
  18. Well, he is going up against Bosa and Ingram, that's a hell of a pass rush, doesn't help that he'll be playing from behind after Rivers drops some points on us.
  19. I could see benching Tyrod at 5-5 but not at 5-4, I think he was a week early, maybe even two weeks early, it's a mind boggling move.
  20. I'm not going to judge him until next year unless he is God awful. I certainly don't expect 300 yards and 3 TDs like some folks do. In an ideal world I'd like to see him go through his reads, get the ball out quick and manage games.
  21. Well, I think Peterman will open up the playbook, I think our receivers are going to be much more productive, hopefully that opens up running lanes for Shady. It's to early to put to much on Peterman right away, I don't think he will be as productive as Tyrod but at this point we need to see what we got in Peterman because Tyrod is never going to be that guy in Buffalo. It's pretty obvious Tyrod is gone, it makes sense for the future to go with Peterman but I think it hurts our chances this year.
